  1. BTW - I am thinking of adding a few little crystals on the loops going down the chain. Pamelia says she can do this. What do y'all think of that? Would add a little more sparkle/bling... Here's an up-close of the earrings so hopefully you can envision what I'm talking about:

Her website is Beaded Foot Jewelry | designed & beaded by Pamelia She is lovely to work with ~ has good ideas and is very patient which is nice when you're dealing with a scatter brained bride! LOL I started on a vendor referral for her but the website timed out and I lost my thread posting. Need to do that soon though. Quote: Originally Posted by Betsy First of all, love your BM's dresses! I think they will appreciate the gesture, and love the foot jewelry! Yay, glad you like the jewelry and dresses!
  3. I would mention it to her. I sent my MOH a little checklist I found online earlier on in the planning process and she flew with it. I am having a Bridal Shower which I'm inviting all the ladies (locally) who are invited to the wedding. This will be more of a "formal/family" type thing. But my friends are also invited. I sent my MOH/BMs a list of ppl to invite to the shower and put an asterisk next to the names of girls who would be invited to BOTH (bach. party too). So only about half of them will be invited to the bach. party. It will be a lingerie party and we'll probably hit a strip club afterward so definitely didn't want family attending that! Oh, and I did make sure that everyone who was invited to either party was already on the invite list for MX. I didn't want to invite "acquaintance" type friends who might feel left out that they weren't invited to the wedding! We are going to have a big AHR after the wedding and invite everyone to that.
  4. WOWZERS!!! Holy moly, chica, y'all are one hot couple! I think that probably made EM's job a little easier Seriously though, you are so gorgeous - LOVE your dress, hair/makeup, etc. And your new hubby's eyes are beautiful! I really love the shots of you before the wedding, the ones of y'all playing around near/in the ocean at the reception, and the TTD shots. Thanks for sharing - I'm looking forward to my own pics by Elizabeth in May!

Only you know your friends financial situation. Good to hear. It's looking like it will be less than $30 which I think is pretty reasonable! Quote: Also.. I love the bodice of your dress. Jaimelynn your waist looks so tiny! Thanks!!! And I've lost 9-9.5 lbs since then!!
  6. Thanks Betsy!! It feels so good to have lost the weight! My waist is so much thinner and my clothes fit a lot better. I weighed my purse awhile back and it was something like 7 lbs and I was like "wow, I've lost that much weight!". Puts it into perspective when you can feel what it's like! Now time to get my skin beautified and try and figure out something for a semi-tan so I'm not a ghost with freckles on the beach!
  7. Hey ladies, K - here's the deal. I am going to surprise my MOH and BM with hand made foot jewels in pearl & sworovski crystal along with a 30 minute massage on the beach as their gifts. (have already paid for other things for them along the way) So I am going to need to ask them to purchase their own jewelry. I am wanting to get it by the same woman who did the foot jewelry to have a theme going. Everything is on sale so it's a really good deal. But I need them to go along with this request without arguing or too many questions if possible (lol). So do you think this jewelry will go along with this dress (2nd pic of dress is MOH): DRESS: NECKLACE & EARRINGS (in pearl & sworovski crystal): MATCHING FOOT JEWELRY (Gift - and yes, that's a fake foot ): I am wanting to go simple, classy and elegant while trying to keep the cost down for them. It matches directly their foot jewelry that I'll be giving them, and I think I can justify it in that it will pick up the white of my dress & the beading (will post pic of my dress below to jog your memories of what it looks like) Do you think they will like this? I am trying to be really sneaky and keep the foot jewels a surprise (they know I am getting a pair, but don't know they are ). I need them just to go along with this so that everything will work out - in fact, in the email I send them I'm going to mention this: "I know the bride's gift to the bridesmaids is normally the jewelry, but I have something else specially planned for y'all. So if you could just go with me on this that would be great! lol " My dress: close-up on the beading: TIA!

  21. To Marcie or anyone else who might know, another question... Do you know if Marriotts in Mexico will accept "Marriott Cheques"? I have a Chase Debit Card which I have earned lots of points on (yay!) while paying off this wedding, and one of the reward cash in options is a $50 Marriott Cheque. This is what it says, specifically: Marriott Cheques are the ultimate in flexibility and relaxation. It's designed for your pure enjoyment and leisure. Marriott Cheques are valid at all Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance® Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard®, Residence Inn®, SpringHill Suites®, TownePlace Suites®, and Fairfield Inn® locations worldwide. Enjoy a romantic dinner for two. A luxurious spa treatment. Or, stock up on souvenirs. You do not need to be a registered guest to redeem your Marriott Cheques. Other terms and conditions apply. One or two of these would come in very handy if we could use them around the pool for drinks/snacks and such! And I'd still have enough points left over to get a $100 Amazon gift card - woohoo! Just want to verify that it will work out of the country though, since we don't really go to Marriotts normally and would probably not get around to using it otherwise...

I've never faltered on my dress, proud to be a "1-Dress-Bride"! LOL
  24. You know what, looking at this pics makes me kinda frustrated that the lady talked me into ordering a size larger. That was a 12 I think, and she convinced me to get the 14 even though I told her I was on medication for my Thyroid and the doc predicted I'd lose weight by the wedding (and I've gone Vegan since then, which has helped me lose weight quicker). I know, I know - you can take it in but you can't take it out. But the bust in these pics looks SO much better than the bust in *my* dress...mine is freaking ginormous ~ no way my "barely B's" are going to look good in that unless they do some major alterations/slip some padding in. I wonder how much this is gonna cost me... Ah well, better safe than sorry I suppose.
  25. Awww, thanks girls. I'm glad someone revived this thread! I'm going in for my alterations (have lost about 9-9.5 lbs! Yeah!!!) on April 1st.
