Oooh, nice! PF Chang's, yummmmy. Gonna check out that Zazzle.com site too. THANKS! -
So, I was bored... and of course, went shopping! (from my bed - LOL) Here's what I got: Luxe Crystal Glass-Pearl Cluster Earring: Normally $54.00, SALE $24.99 Glass-Pearl Flower Bracelet: Normally $48, SALE: $40.80 Plus found a 20% off coupon code (8819), which took the total down -$13.16. Total for earrings + bracelet with $8 shipping = $65.63 Total savings: $49.37 Not bad for a "sick" day at home! Figured I can use these to spice up a cute, simple dress for the welcome dinner/bridal shower/etc.

Oh and holy moly on the 8:30 sunset! I guess that's a good thing... but it also means it will stay hotter longer. Boo. Oh well, it will all work out in the end! Maybe we can just have their boat come over 15 minutes early and then add 45 on at the end. I wonder if that would give us a few extra minutes to get those "first glance" shots in...? Hmmmmm...

Hi Jen, Congrats on your upcoming wedding! My body has also decided to get sick on me (but I have separate ongoing medical issues so that's a whole different topic!) ~ stress can wreak havok on our bodies! Try setting a night aside soon to go out on a date night with your hubby - go see a funny movie (I recommend "I love you, man" with Paul Rudd for some good wedding-related laughs from the guy's perspective - Martin loved it too). Your wedding is the day of my bachelorette party!

So, what is the proper etiquette on this? My MOH is throwing me a bridal shower coming up the weekend after next. I have already paid for her room deposit ($100), 1 night stay, and I'll be getting her handmade foot jewelry + a 30 minute massage the day of the wedding. I also have these little necklaces that are for bridesmaids - they are in a cute little package and have a little heart tied on a string. When the string breaks or the heart falls off, you make a wish. Do I need to give her a separate gift for throwing this shower? She is hosting it but I don't think it will set her back too far because I am providing the wine myself (slight eye roll there) - well, actually my Dad was nice enough to step in and provide that. I know she is on a tight budget though so I understand, but it's been a challenge working with her on this (she hasn't kept me in the loop too much and is just now sending out invites). Ok I went off topic (guess i needed to vent a little - hah!). If I do give her a gift, do you think the little necklace is appropriate? (Only cost about 8 bucks) Should I throw in a bottle of wine around $10? What do you think? Also - I have an "in-town BM" who is throwing my lingerie/bachelorette party the following weekend. What should I get her since she is not going to the wedding? I'm thinking I should probably get her something since she's not getting gifts like the other girls who are going... maybe the same thing - one of those little necklaces + a bottle of vino? My Aunt is helping host the bridal shower (it will be at her place), and my Grandma is also throwing me a little bridal luncheon with several of her friends, FMIL, my sister and my aunt. I am thinking for them nice, handwritten thank you cards would be appropriate...

Oh wow! We want to sell our place but haven't put it up yet for that very reason! Too much going on!! We also live in Dallas - you're lucky to have sold it! Maybe just try and concentrate really hard on that?? I know that advice sucks, sorry... Just a sticky situation! Vent all you want here - good place to get these things out!

I think it will look amazing on the beach - super flowy, think that will make for great pics out of the water at least. Not sure about in the water to be quite honest (with the whole see-through thing). I'd take a lot of pics OUT of the water FIRST, then if you feel like it - heck, just jump in and give it a whirl! Why not!?

Oooh I also love the idea of altering it for a cocktail dress/gown for future child. And how incredible of you to consider donating it! I think I will probably keep it for awhile. It just seems so sentimental. I dunno, maybe I'm weird But my Mom died when I was young, so I never had any of her stuff when I grew up... I think that's why I'd like to hold onto it, so if I have a daughter she could at least see (and maybe laugh by that time! lol!) what it was like and use/incorporate parts of it if she chose to do so... Hrmmmm... very good question! I do know I will wear it a second time for my AHR. Excited about THAT!

Hi! Yes, we are definitely doing this. I bought my wedding band too early I think, and it's just a little flashy for me combined with my E-Ring. BUT it will totally fit the bill and do the job for now, and I like it so why not? My FI also jumped the gun on his wedding band and just got a really plain one and now does not like it (I tried to warn him... lol ). We may try and get him a new one before the wedding, but right now my motto is "simple is good" - trying to leave as much stress out of the picture as possible. If something is too complicated, it's just not worth it! Ya know? So anyways, we will both probably switch bands later - maybe for our 1 year anniversary present. I will also get the diamonds in my E-Ring upgraded eventually.

Those look great!! I'd like that too! lol But like I said I'm just gonna let Nicole go with her gut - she knows the place better than I do. She already picked out my flowers for me and I love 'em! So she's on the right track Oh and Andi, Martin and I finally decided to do "before" shots or "first glance" as I like to call it - where you get to see each other right before the wedding and the photog. can capture those great moments. Not to mention neither of us will be sweaty at that point, and I'll be all dolled up with fresh makeup - lol so I think what we're gonna try and work out is to split up the extra hour - have the guests w/Martin come over a half hour early so we can get those shots in, and then have an extra half hour at the end for dancing and such. I'm sure the sun will be out late for us since it will almost be summer, but think it will be more relaxed this way. Wrote Elizabeth Medina (my photog) today asking her thoughts on this, but I'm pretty excited because before martin was SUPER traditional about these kindsa things including not seeing each other at all before the wedding. We will still stay in separate rooms the night before though. Eeeee, so excited!!

Andi!!! AHHHHH!!! I know we already talked today on FB but OMG! Seems like just yesterday YOU were at a month, and now I'm at 1 month 10 days and you are at 10 DAYS!!! AHHHH!!!! LOL I am sooooo darn excited for you, chica! Ann- is there an updated list of BDW LC weddings coming up? Can't believe mine is finally gonna be on that list! Wahooo! And yeah, I'll def leave the starfish there for other BDW brides. Didn't someone (Rachel?) leave her beads there? I think I'll use that for decoration. (know what I'm talking about? the long strands behind the chuppa?) Andi - how are you having your chuppa decorated? I think I'm just gonna let Nicole go with whatever she feels like cause she's got a good eye and at this point the less stress, the better!

heeheeheeheemuahahahahahah! I totally just got Martin with that, and I can never get him with these kindsa things!!

What I do is use Myspace - I create a separate folder that is private and upload all the pics to that. Then copy the "Image Location" and paste it in the little picture box (the yellow one). Try one, and preview the post first to make sure you're doing it correctly. It should automatically resize, at least somewhat. Make sure not to go and delete them from Myspace, because that is where they will be hosted. If you ever remove them from there, your pics will show up as little red x's. If you need more help I will probably be around... YAY FOR YOU!!!! You're married!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
