Aww thanks girls! Hearing (or reading rather) all the kudos and encouragement is sooo nice especially after trying on swimsuits and clothes all afternoon. Looking for clothes for all the events we have coming up. Any how I can't say enough about the Core Plan. Meester Jason and I just had a great Core dinner....chicken and steak shish kabobs, brown rice and bulgar blend, and cukes, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms marinated in light balsamic vinegarette....soooo yummy. And yes I'm soo blessed to be marrying such an incredible man like Jay. He's sweet, kind, compassionate, and totally hot! lol.

I've heard nothing but good things about the crest strip so I will definately get those. Thanks for the heads up on the spray tan. I might give the tanning beds another go. I tend to turn beige at best. lol. I's not easy being the whitest woman in america.

Awww I just read my sweetie's post. Now can everyone see why I'm marrying this guy! I love him sooooo much. And I think having a supportive partner like Jay is key...He doesn't sabotage me, follows my plan with me, and exercises with me. He is just the best. Wait...did I just hijack my own post. lol.

Needless to say if I do need more fittings I'm not going back to her. It was funny when I started getting heated and I told her that I don't appreciate her comments. My mother piped up and said "Wev'e been through a lot. Her father had a heart attack" My dad did have a heart attack a few weeks ago (he doing really good now BTW). But it was too funny she had to explain my annoyance. I'll just go to who Jay is using to tailor his suit.

44 days to go! Any suggestions for teeth whitening and self tanning products? I am an idiot with self tanners. I get all streaky. I definiately need something idiot proof. I was thinking of just going for a spray tan. I hear Creast whitening strips works wonders.

I'm torn between my signiture scent Chanel Chance or trying Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. Might go with Chance since that's me and what I wore when Jay and I first fell in love. Wow! as the days tick by I am getting more and more sappy.

Thanks girls. I think I am going to keep on going until I make goal. Can you imagine making goal and marrying your true love all at the same time? Two dreams come true at the same time. I promised myself I would buy myself a "right hand" diamond ring when I made life time. so I better start budgeting. Oh regarding Core....if youv'e been thinking about it, give it a try especially if youv'e been at a plateau. You definately have to think about portion control but as my leader said nobody got to WW by eating too many veggies. I like it because I'm not always hungry like I was on Flex. I work out and during PMS week I tend to have never ending hunger. I just fill up on core foods (lean meats, veggies, omlets, fruit). If you are following the plan you will lose the first week. Everyone I see loses at least 3 their first week.

I think I might keep going. Hopefully 4 pounds does not make that much of a difference regarding alterations. I really want to lose 9 or 15 more but I figured I would set my goal high so it's easier to maintain and I can go to meetings for free sooner. This is the smallest I've ever been. When I was in high school I wore a size 18 and would walk by the junior's shops and feel sad. Now I'm 34, a size 8/10 and I shop at forever 21. hee hee. And now I'm almost at the finish line. Weight training is key and the core plan is the best. The weight really started coming off when I switched to core.

My weight loss journey has been a long one. Over the past 4 years I have lost 61 pounds and managed to keep most of it off with some minor set backs here and there. I lost the last 19 as a WW member over the past 16 months. Its been slow but good because I've learned new and healthy ways of dealing with food issues. Anyhow here's my quandry...I am 45 days away from my weddding and had my final gown fitting today. I had lost about 6 lbs since the last fitting and it had to be taken in again. So here I am .....4 pounds away from goal...It is within my reach. And the bridal store lady/ seamstress told me I am to absolutely not to lose any more weight....in fact she told me I should have lost my weight before buying my gown. Needless to say I went a little bridezilla on her. lol. Ugh this sucks. Do I continue to lose weight if i can and scramble for last minute alterations or try to maintain until after the big day? Arrrrggghhh!

No problemo. We are doing the basic package. We are doing the Wedding in Paradise package. Since its just the two of us (wer'e eloping), we dont need all the extras of the other packages. Hairstyling for the bride is $80. Makeup is 60 and mani/pedi is 45. I dont think the prices are bad at given the salon is on a resort.

We can't wait either!!! stay tuned!!

So I'm getting anxious about my hair. Has anyone had their hair done at their salon on site? I'm going to have a very simple style done just to prevent any disasters. Besides, simple is usual better. But if anyone can put my fears to rest by sharing their Dreams Tulum hair experiances, I would appreciate it.

One of my friends just got engaged and she and her FI are starting to plan a wedding in DR. She knows her mother will be freak about topless sunbathers. She is wondering if there are any all inclusives in DR (not sure where she is looking specificly)that ban toppless sunbathing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dreams Tulum
Karen replied to Jamie's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Hey Le Shay, Laura B and her fiance are getting married at Dreams Tulum a couple days after us so we are going to be there at the same time. Laura and Michael are having a kareoke party as part of their wedding celebration. I know Dreams has beach parties and other activities...not sure if kareoke is part of that or not. -
those all sound like great ideas girls! thanks!

Hey All! So not only am I a blushing bride to be (getting married in 58 days) but I will also be a matron of honor (and only female attendant) in Sept. 2007. One of my dearest friends is getting married in a small DW in Niagara Falls. She doesn't want a shower. I asked her a million times because i wanted to make sure of this given my that schedule is getting crazy with less than 2 months to go before Jay and I get married. She also doesn't want to do a bridal luncheon with her mom, FMIL, etc. Everyone is driving her nuts apparently. And due to her grueling schedule she doesn't have a lot of friends so a bachelorette party is out. I really want to honor this passage (from single to married) for her. This has been a long time coming for her and I really want to do something special (yet not break the bank....I am getting married soon too). I was thinking of taking her to the spa and then to a nice lunch or dinner and maybe giving her something nice for her wedding....perhaps champagne flutes. Any other ideas?

Laura, Si, I am Meester Jason's real live bride to be and I am soooo ready for shots and kareoke!! I've been put in charge of preparing Jay's lime green speedo and cowboy hat for the festivities. I gotta start working on increasing my tequila tolerence and song selection..maybe some REO Speedwagon. Thanks so much for inviting us. If there are any other couples who plan in beng in the Tulum / Cancun area between 6/30 and 7/12...let us know so we can have a little drinky poo!!! -
Where are you legally marrying?
Karen replied to Karen's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Thanks for all the replies. Melissa, did you have to wait for the apostille seal in order to change your name and change over insurance policies and such here in the states? -
I've heard in order to bypass international red tape, some couples have civil cermonies in the state and symbolic unions abroad. At this point Jay and I are having a civil and legal ceremony in Tulum Mexico. The legal requirements don't seem too bad and our wedding coordinator will assist. Thank goodness we don't need chest x-rays (Some Mexican regions require this) Since I'm divorced, I have to present translated copies of my birth certificate and divorce decree. Has anyone had experiance with the legal marital process in Mexico? Has all gone smoothly?
