  1. OK, so who watched the 2 hour season finale? It was sooo good!! I dont want to say too much because I know a lot of you record it to watch later... just let me know when we can talk about it!
  2. Very beautiful!! You looked gorgeous and I LOVE your table setup and your cake!
  3. Scuba Caribe is the company located on the beach at Riu Ocho Rios - they have a website - Ocho Rios, Jamaica - Scuba diving and water sports with Scubacaribe, maybe try contacting them through this either by phone or email? I also found this other company using Google... Dunn's River Falls Catamaran Jamaica

  6. You looked absolutely beautiful! I love your hair! Did the spa ladies do it? So glad to hear everything was a success! CONGRATULATIONS!
  7. I was married at the Riu Ocho Rios - LOVED IT - and we honeymooned at Sandals Whitehouse. The two resorts were vastly different in atmosphere, however, the Sandals Whitehouse was a lovely spot for a honeymoon. It is secluded, romantic, couples only, with excellent service. Long white sand beach. GREAT food, great selection of restaurants. My only complaints about it were that it WAS secluded, an hour's drive from Negril on TERRIBLE roads. So there's not much to do off-resort. Also, we didnt receive an upgraded room and found the small room to be a big let-down after our suite at the ROR. But it was really nice and it all depends on what kind of atmosphere you're looking for...
  8. Those are beautiful! Congratulations! I, of course, love the colour of your hubby's shirt!
  9. Wow girl!! GREAT review, and I am so glad another BDW bride had a successful ROR wedding! You looked beautiful and your whole experience will be memorable for years and years to come!

  11. So glad you had such a wonderful time!! Now... where are those pics??
  12. Lizz, you're so smart to look through the pics that way! I didnt really know that was an option, and we spent an entire afternoon of our vacation in the photoshop trying to choose 100 pictures!!
  13. My wedding was at 4 PM at the beach gazebo and I honestly didnt notice any other resort guests at all! There are none in any of our pictures, and I never thought twice about it! I wouldn't worry!
  14. It was SOOOO gooooood!!!! That has got to be one of the best season finales EVER!
  15. Beautiful!! You looked gorgeous and I love your dress! I also loved the white bridesmaid dresses, they looked so light and breezy! Congratulations, it looked amazing!! Have you written a review yet?

  19. Wow! Your pictures are amazing and you looked absolutely beautiful!! I hope everything was wonderful for you, can't wait to hear your review!
  20. Aww, I'm really sorry to hear that your experience was not the greatest. I was kind of worried that with the ever-growing popularity of the ROR for weddings that more and more mistakes might start to happen... It sounds like Kenesha is not quite as trained up as she needs to be and there was some confusion with having her involved. So sorry to hear that! I do think you made the best of it, and that is really the attitude you have to have with a DW - just be able to look on the bright side and enjoy it! But ANY bride would be disappointed with some of these mistakes that happened and it's good of you to write the review and let others know! For my wedding as well, we were left on our own after the ceremony, we all just walked to the dinner at 6 PM and winged it from there! I never saw Chandlyn either after the ceremony so maybe that is something for other brides to expect as well... ! P.S. We would love to see more pics though! You look beautiful and very happy!
  21. The most cost effective seems to be the disco, as you pay $250 to rent it and this includes the cost of the DJ and bartender. We were married at the beach gazebo at 4 PM, had the free dinner at Mammee Bay and then moved to the disco at 9 PM and we really had a blast with it! I love to dance and it was a great atmosphere to dance and have fun! A beach reception would also be really nice but you should price out all the options and judge which is best for you.
  22. If you're flying out of Alberta, which I assume you are because of your location, you actually fly on an Air Transat plane. Sunquest reserves a select number of seats on the plane for their customers and the rest are reserved for Air Transat customers. There is probably still lots of room on the plane but Sunquest's seats might all be taken. I wouldnt panic, they can just purchase some more from Air Transat. We decided we wanted to stay for a second week for a honeymoon about 4 months before our wedding and they told us the second week was sold out as well, but then our travel agent got Sunquest to negotiate some more seats from Air Transat and we were OK. Since you are almost a year in advance I bet they do some adjusting for you!

With the CD can we print pics ourselves?!?! Anyone do this? I'll have to get back to you on the price we paid because the price list is on my home computer, but we went with one step up from the free/basic package and that included 10 pics and a photo album, and then we paid for 100 photos on CD. We actually could only narrow it down to 108 photos, and Michael put the 108 plus the 10 in the photo album all on the CD for us for the price of 100. Very nice. You can absolutely print the pics yourselves off the CD or take them to Costco, London Drugs, Wal-Mart, etc, and get them to print off of the CD! We've done this many times and the photos are very high quality and turn out great.
