Thanks guys! I will try airing them out. I've been keeping them sealed in the bag to avoid spreading the smell around our apartment but I'll take them outside tomorrow!

I am using white dried starfish for my placecards and my, oh, my...I just got them the other day and they SMELL!!!!! I don't want to place these on the table in fear that my guests would get sick from the stench.Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell? ANY help would be greatly appreciated by me and my guests

I wanna send "thank you" postcards instead of a regular card. Does anyone know who makes good quality postcards? I know VistaPrint makes them for cheap but I'm afraid it will look cheap. Has anyone used them before? Any other company suggestions? Thanks!

I have two weeks to find shoes for my bridal portraits! I bought a pair from Zappos but I'm not a fan. I'm wearing a flowy ivory dress. What size do ya'll recommend? The 4-5 inches or 5-6 inches?

Has anyone ordered from US Shell Inc (www.usshell.com)? What was your experience like? I want to buy the white finger starfish but Shell Horizons is sold out of them and Seashell City is too expensive. This one is pretty reasonable ($9 for a case of 12 5-6 inch starfish). Thanks!

I'm with the other girls. If you were having doubts BEFORE your sister saw your dress, then keep looking. You still have time to find the perfect dress! However, if your second thoughts started after her reaction, don't worry about it. Everyone has different taste. When I showed my mom and my sister my dress they weren't so thrilled with it. Their idea of a wedding dress is a ball gown and nothing but. However, I am not about to go around the hot streets of Mexico in a ball gown. So I got something light, flowy and comfortable! I love my mom and my sister but I'm not about to spend my wedding day uncomfortable. Also, I'm like you, I have a budget on a dress and did not want to spend some exuberant amount on one. I love my dress. Granted, whenever I'm looking through magazines I see other ones that I love more but, unfortunately, those are not within my budget so why bother getting depressed over it? You will always find something better...it's a matter of whether or not you want to spend that price difference. If you don't want to spend $5K on a dress then find one within your budget and don't compare that dress to the $5K dress because it's like comparing apples to oranges. You definitely should not settle on a dress and I think you should truly love what you buy...but if you're forking an arm and a leg on it, no matter how great it looks if it's not within your budget another part of you is going to be unhappy. So find one that makes you wallet and your heart happy Hope this helps!

If you're in Dallas and you're looking for a starfish hairpin, there's a kiosk at the Galleria mall that carries them! It's located on the 2nd floor just outside of Macy's. They carry them in a variety of colors and are $30 apiece. I'm getting one or two for my hair

I was considering a welcome bag but I also like the idea of giving a bottle of tequila. I think it's very fitting if you're getting married in Mexico. And honestly, who wouldn't want a bottle of tequila?! Also, since both my fiance and I are from the Philippines I also thought of giving some sort of Filipino candy...thought it'd be a good way to share a part of our 'home' to our guests.
