Thanks, Elizabeth! You are so kind and talented:) Mark and I feel so fortunate to have you photograph our special day. Thanks, girls! As for the weather, the ceremony was suppose to take place outside but maybe 30 minutes before the ceremony the rain started coming down. So everything had to be moved inside. I will post a full review in the RM section soon.... ~Denise

Tammy-Thanks for the idea! I did not even think of that! BTW-loved your makeup trial/lesson pic! Waiting for Sunshine-I will use your petal idea too! Jill-what does your cake look like? BTW-do you get the WE channel? I was watching this show called Just Married and it featured the Dreams Resort. It looked beautiful!!! Susan is getting married there too right? I can't remember. -

Hi Four Month Mark Ladies! Jill, seriously my cake is really ugly since my wedding will only be 10 people including us, I did not feel the need to spend an extra $150 on a cake. So I am going with the cake that is coming with my wedding package (pic below)-I tried to see if the baker could make individual cakes but it is a no go and to be honest a cake does not matter too much to us. Susan, My WC told me I needed to pay $150 for my peony bouquet which I assume is an upgrade fee because the other bouquets offered in my package were also ugly (haha). As for the season, I know that I looked into having peony centerpieces for my AHR in June but my florist told me she could have them shipped from Holland or order them earlier in the month and refridgerate them to prolong the bloom. I guess peonies in the USA are only in season from May to early June. -

Thanks, Jill! It is kinda crazy, I leave in about a week. Everything for the wedding is done although I got lash extenstions last week and they are not holding up well which is kinda freaking me out. Oh yeah and my cake is really ugly. Susan, I am googling poppy flowers for you!!! -

Hey Jill, Come to think of it, I have never seen pink poppies either...only orange and purple. I actually bought some peonies ($15 for 3 stems at Whole Foods-YIKES) earlier today to experiment with my AHR centerpieces and now studying them very closely to compare Susan's pic BTW-did you happen to notice any cube or cylinder vases while you were at the XMAS TREE shop? I am going there tomorrow to check it out. -

Susan, Very pretty! I think the flowers in the your pic are poppy flowers. They do look very similar to peonies which will be my bouquet. I have posted a pic of similar to my bouquet so you could compare the 2 flowers. Denise -
I check TA quite a bit:) and am very happy I choose ERC as our wedding site. I would love to see some ERC pics but since the wedding is in less than 2 weeks away, I think I do not need to see them. THANK YOU THOUGH!!! Loreta actually sent me some during her site visit last month. Have you seen work of the ERC photographer? Mark is not much of a poser either but I was not very impressed with the resort photographer's work. I kinda have a feeling that these resort photographers are not very good and do not specialize in wedding photography. A coworker of mine, just got back from her wedding in Cabo and she used the resort photographer and the pics were kinda cheesy, out of focus and the color work was very mediocre. If I were you, I would look into another photographer-just my honest opinion. Like I mentioned before, I am using Elizabeth Medina-check out her blog (she is also a member of this forum). I can't wait to work with her and as soon as I get pics I will email them you

Hi!!! We are also doing the beach ceremony but I am going with the silver package that does not inlcude the honeymoon upgrade. I am not sure where I will be having my cocktail hour yet, I feel the lobby may be too big for us. With that being said, have you seen pics of that huge chuppah? I am trying to figure out if it will look stupid over my small intimate wedding. Did you stay ERC during your site visit? Ariadna has been a blessing! Everything has been great except my cake is really ugly. Since my wedding is so small, I am not going to upgrade ($150) my cake so I am just going to live with the one tier thing they offer with my package. Elizabeth Medina is my photographer and Loreta is using Sol Tamargo. Do you have any pics of ERC? Could you PM me? Let me know if I can help you although it seems as though you are right on top of everything that you do not need anything:) Best, Denise

Hi Darlsay, Congrats! I have never been to ERC but Loreta has, she is leaving this Saturday and getting married next week Mary (MC23) has set her date for May 2008. WOW, you are done? I have just finalized everything with ERC-Ariadna the WC is great. My wedding is going to be small (10) but then we are having a AHR. Are you doing or planning any activities? Best, Denise

Catherine, I actually found these pics on online somewhere...I googled the hell out of the word "centerpiece." I think it is pretty easy to recreate these ceterpieces. Susan, My centerpieces for my the DW will be petals and candles which would be really easy to recreate but my AHR is actually a noon luncheon so I do not think candles will have a nice effect especially since the venue has so many windows Any other ideas? THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Thanks so much ladies! I like the cylinder but I think Raydensmama may be right about only using one cylinder. I just love the sunken flower idea in the cylinder but I do not think it will match our vendor location. It seems as though a low centerpiece will work better. Jessica, when you arrange the dahlias (love them) did you use a low vase? How many dahlias? ~Denise

Good idea! Thanks!!! I am trying picture what type of shallow bowl/vase. ..

Hi Girls! I am have been surfing the web all day today for centerpiece ideas for my AHR at the end of June. To save $$, I am looking for DIY centerpieces. The ATR is actually going to be a luncheon with 140 people. I LOVE peonies and thought about buying them in bulk and just arrange them in a low wide glass vase. But since peonies are so $$, I have found some other ideas (pics below). I do not know which arrangements below really match the decor of my reception (pic of venue below-no blue table cloth) although peonies will go well. I like the tall cylinders but not sure if they will look okay on the round tables. HELP! Thanks!!

Hi Girls! Here is the answer to the freeze dried petal question from Petal Garden Inc: Yes, you can take both types of petals to Mexico. The silk is no problem at all. The freeze dried you will want to make sure you take the invoice with you to show that they are FREEZE DRIED, which is important. They do not require a phytosanitary certificate since they are freeze dried and non-viable. Thanks. ~Denise

What is the name of the book? I need recipes too!!!

Just had a facial peel, This is what I learned today: Peels are more benficial for the long run where facials are good for relaxing and look good for about 2 weeks. I have been getting facials for like 4 years and will now do peels. The peel stings like 5 minutes and that is it...peels take like 30 minutes versus facials which take like 90 minutes and are somewhat painful due to the extractions depending on how clogged your pores are. Hope this bit of info helped!

Did your friend notice results right away? How many times does get these back facials?
