  1. OOO, good question. I know my mom bought it for me for Christmas... CRAP! I can't find it anywhere. It was definitely a link I got off of here though. But it ran REALLY small. I got a size medium I think and it's like an extra small. If anyone is an extra small and would want it, let me know. I think it was $40 originally.
  2. I just talked to my doctor about this on Wednesday. She said I can travel up until 34 weeks and I should be perfectly fine.
  3. Welcome Melissa!! I'm from Wisconsin, so just a two hour drive away! That's always fun! Anyway, from what I have seen, the Azul is a gorgeous resort, let alone an amazing place for wedding!! Good luck getting in touch with Fabio and do a search on the hotel here in the meantime, you'll find a lot of great info!
  4. I wore white pants with a turquoise tank top that said Beach Bride in sparkles. Then my husband wore a "Game Over" t-shirt. My parents each had t-shirts. My bridesmaids had t-shirts. And the groomsmen had t-shirts that said "Team Groom" or something like that. It was a lot of fun. Oh yeah, and the flower girls had little long sleeve shirts too. They were adorable!
  5. That's so awesome! Congratulations! And your dress is so cute!

In fact, our guests all met at the 24 hour bar before heading down. It's the hammock location and although it's on the beach, it's by the rocks. so instead of hearing speedo clad tourists in the background, you hear waves crashing on the beach. It's very nice! Now, we did NOT have to do anything with our birth certificates. We simply had our passports and tourists visas and that's all we needed. It might be different coming from Canada, but I'm not sure. But honestly, it was SO easy to get legally married down there. Good luck planning and don't be afraid to send me private messages if you have any questions.
  7. It's so fun when you feel it consistantly. My child actually already has a schedule, which is quite amusing to me. For instance, she's always awake and kicking from 2:30-4:00... which means right now. It's so much fun!! I love it!
  8. I think it's a beautiful dress and it would look gorgeous against the beautiful blue sea background. If you love it, get it. You don't want to regret it later on.
  9. Are you planning on printing directly to the envelope or onto labels. Labels are always a lot easier because if you buy Avery labels (for example) there is typically a setting right in the print options to select the different Avery label sizes and it will do it all nice and pretty for you. If you are doing it directly onto the envelope (which is what I did) I just formatted my excel spreadsheet so that when I hit print it printed properly on the envelope and I copied and pasted the address information from another tab. I can set something up if you'd like.
  10. I think this depends mostly on your location. Riviera Maya, it makes most sense to do sunrise pictures because sunset basically means just getting dark, not beautiful colors. Cabo is the exact opposite. Although, there are spots in both locations which would work for both, your photographer just needs to be creative. Personally, I prefer sunrise ttd sessions because the beaches are less crowded (people tend to watch sunsets as opposed to sunrises). HOWEVER, I would rather photograph a sunset ttd session because the evening produces such a beautiful golden light plus the gorgeous sunset colors. So, it's really up to you and your photographer.
  11. Oh this sounds just awesome!!! I would be super thrilled too! And it sounds so much like a celebrity wedding where nobody knows that the wedding is going to happen! As for your dress, I say no. You have the amazing Elizabeth and you'll want to be wearing your amazing dress, not a dress that you are 'okay' with. You shouldn't trash it too much, it should be fine.
  12. Welcome to the forum! So, you haven't gotten as far as you'd like to... what do you know? I think your first step is securing a location, which of course means deciding which of the two is your wedding destination choice! Good luck!!!
  13. That's awesome... but you know that we need pictures of the new ring!!!
  14. Congratulations!!! I know that's a stressful time, you finally pick your resort and then you sit on pins and needles praying that they have your day available! So, congratulations, that's awesome!
  15. I actually really like the second one. I think it has a great beachy flow to it. But would you get the floor length or the tea length. Also, what does your dress look like? These dresses seem to be a little different in style, so knowing what your dress looks like I'd say it'd be easier to compare them and tell you what would look best.

HI Katie! Welcome to the forum! you'll find that non responsiveness is a VERY common complaint around here! Apparently they are all on Mexico time. The good news is that a bunch of lovely brides on this forum have gotten married at Dreams Cancun and their weddings were amazing!!! So just keep trying! Good luck and best wishes!
  17. Welcome my neighbor to the south! You will love this forum and all the ideas and inspiration shared. Which resorts are on your final list?
  18. Welcome Stace! I have been on a few Caribbean cruises and I love them! My favorite ports were Grand Cayman and Costa Maya. Good luck finding your perfect port!
  19. Welcome! That's the resort that I got married at and I LOVED it!!! If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask.
  20. Yeah, you aren't paying for the drinks, you are paying for the service. They open a bar which is typically closed and stock it. They also give you personal waiters which are ONLY for you, no other guests. That's what you are paying for. It took me a long time to realize that too, but trust me, it's COMPLETELY worth it!

    Greetings

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your engagement! The way that I picked my location was I sat down with my fiance and we came up with a list of things that were MUST HAVES and WANTS for our wedding. It included things like a nice beach, private reception, children allowed, and family and friends needed to be able to afford it. From there we started with the afford it idea and just got flight prices. It was much cheaper for our family to go to the Riviera Maya than anywhere else, so that's where I focused. I then got a list of wedding locations and what they offered and I compared that against our list of needs and wants. Eventually, narrowing it down. Good luck!
