  6. WOOO, two Tricias/Trishas in one day, that's nuts! Anyway, I know that a lot of people have gotten married at Dreams in Cabo with more than 20 people, so I would start searching out some reviews and bugets for Dreams Cabo and go from there.

Hello fellow TRISHA!!! yippee!!! Sorry, I get excited when people spell their name the same way that I do. Anyways, congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the forum! I've heard of the Windjammer, but not too much detail. You should tell us more!

    Newbie!!

Welcome to the forum!!! You only have a few more weeks to go! Are you so excited??!!?!? Where will you be getting married in Cabo?
  11. Welcome!! I would suggest doing a search through the Jamaica sub section for the search word Palladium. Hopefully that will help you out! Good luck with the planning!
  12. I did not see any hot air balloon options when we were there... has he already booked it? As for remembering loved ones, what about putting four candles on the table in hurricane vases and having them burning through the ceremony. Or having a vase with four roses in it? I also like the idea of having a picture of your mom in a charm on your bouquet ribbon. I love that.
  13. Hmmm... I have no idea how your posts are before mine... I'm going to say witch craft. As for what Shawn got me, I will try and remember to take a picture. It's a round crystal thing with a clock face imbedded in it. And then he has it inscribed with "Year 1 of forever. 4-11-2009" It's really beautiful and I love it!
  14. So, it was my 1 year anniversary last weekend and my husband did a really good job on my gift. That sparked a conversation with my father. He will be celebrating his 31st wedding anniversary with my dearest mother on May 6th. Their modern gift idea is a timepiece. Well that sparked an idea in my husbands head. He said that he was originally going to get me a sundial, but we don't have the space or a garden to put it in. Well, my parents certainly do. So, dad and I went on an internet hunt for cool ones today... we found this one and we LOVE it!! isn't it so perfect? The inscription just works out lovely!!! So anyways, I just thought I'd share because it would also work for a one year gift and I seriously think it's adorable!

Welcome to the forum Ashley! Mexico was amazing for our wedding. Where in Mexico are you thinking?
  17. Welcome to the forum! So where have you decided to have your wedding?
  18. I think this depends largely on the studio. Now-a-days, a lot of photographers do not have studios. Or if they do, they are very simple. At a hotel, you typically have a bed, cool bathrooms/showers, lounge chairs, large windows... things like that. Most studios do not have a bed in them. However, some do. Some have awesome props for BD shoots. It's ust a different style of photo that you get on location versus a studio (typically) so I think it's more a personal choice.

    Hello

Welcome to the forum!! I got married in April and I loved the weather during that time! Hopefully you can narrow down a location soon and start planning! Best wishes!
  20. Welcome Liz!!! isn't it so exciting to finally decide on a destination and a date? Now you need to narrow it down to resort. This forum should definitely help you out! Good luck and best wishes!
  21. Welcome! The EDS is a beautiful resort, I'm sure you will have an amazing wedding!

    Hi

Congratulations Amanda! I'm actually going to the Bahamas in March or April for a vacation, so it'll be fun to watch as you plan your wedding! Good luck!
  23. We didn't have a head table. My husband and I just sat with both sets of our parents and that worked out great!
  24. Our dinner was at the pool, so we did it there. But I can see advantages both ways. The restaurant would be nice because then the reception is just for the party. But if you cut it at the reception then people can nibble throughout the dance and also grab a piece on the way back to their room (that's what they did at mine).
  25. I completely agree that you should check with local photographers. I think you'll be surprised at how much more bang for your buck you can get. But... here is also a great thread to start with. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t35088
