Yup, the Karisma resorst are exactly the reason I asked the question about your photographer. So, there will be no kids attending your wedding. Do you still want a resort that allows kids? Or would you prefer an adults only resort? What about wedding location? When you close your eyes, what do you see? Do you see the waves crashing behind you? Do you see a gazebo? An arch? A chuppa? A brick wall with a man on a cross? How about private reception location. Do you want it inside at a restaurant or outside under the stars? And of course... the big one... budget!!!

Have you looked at a bunch of the photographers on this site There are a TON of great ones! Elizabeth is by far one of my favorites, especially for colors that pop, so that's sad that she's not available. Have you tried Nathaniel Thompson? he's one of my favorites too. Welcome to the forum! From what I've seen of the Azul it is an AMAZING resort! A photographers dream, so I'm sure you'll be able to find a ton of great photographers who are willing to travel there for your wedding! Best wishes!

I think first you should make a list of MUST HAVES for your wedding. For instance, must have children. Must have a beach ceremony. Must have a gazebo ceremony. Must be able to bring my own photographer. Must have private reception. I think once you get a list together like that and post it more people will be able to help you narrow down the search.

Welcome to the forum!!! Your sister in law is right, this place is AWESOME! Without this site my wedding wouldn't have been nearly as awesome. As far as advice on photographers, I suggest bringing one with you. Although it sounds like it'll be more expensive, it really isn't. For instance, I flew my photographer in for four nights. His travel plus costs ran me $2500. BUT, that covered THREE days of photography and all the photos on a disc and 100 prints! That's REALLY cheap!! So instead of only getting a few hours on my wedding day, we really were able to capture the entire trip for the same price. TOTALLY the best decision I made (well, besides marrying my husband and our resort!). So, what I would do is contact some photographers. There are a TON on this website that you can send Private Messages to. Then, I'd also contact some photographers in your area who you like their work. I think you'll be happy that you did.

Yeah, we found out the day we sat with her. Thankfully we flew our photographer in, so it wasn't a big deal at all to them. But I suppose if you hire someone local who is just coming for the day that could be a large problem. Hopefully it'll work out for you though.

Thanks Emme! Yeah, the whole labor thing was quite ridiculous!!! But, I think she's cute! I'm pretty biased though!!! Now, as for wedding timelines and making your program or schedules, I made all of mine up. Printed my invites with the agreed upon wedding time. Then, I got there and the minister couldn't be there at that time and it got switched anyways. Just remember to go with the flow of things and not stress. Everyone is already down in Mexico so if it's an hour later, it's not really a big deal.

Don't worry jessica, we won't keep you waiting too long! And I'm glad you had a good time. You certainly rocked it!!!

Hola!! Yup, I'm back! Life has been crazy! After having Kora I've had a BUNCH of photo shoots and so editing with a baby is really tough! But, I think I've finally got a system down now! Nikki! I am SO sorry to hear about that. It's absolutely terrible. I cannot believe that happened and that is pure rotten. Thank goodness he didn't demand anything from either of you. What a shame! And I remember your laptop quite vividly because it was so cute. I'm really sorry.
