Write a list of things. For example: 1. beach weddding. 2. Children allowed. 3. Private reception. 4. under 2,000 for a 4 night stay. Things like that will help you narrow down your search and keep you from getting too overwhelmed. Best wishes!

That is sad that Elizabeth is already booked. Her work is simply amazing. And yes, Del Sol is pricey, but they aer worth it if it's in your budget. Now, if that's not in your budget, have you thought about bringing down your own photographer? You can always find a photographer locally who is willing to go down, or there are a ton of wonderful options on this website. if you think about it, the price might be around the same. I paid $2500 to fly my photographer down (that included his fee, and all travel and accomodations). I paid for 4 nights at our hotel and I got 3 full days of coverage and all of the images on a disc. So it was an AMAZING deal. Perhaps it'd be something you're willing to look into. As for the room discounts, do you already have a travel agent? If not, the ones on this forum are amazing because they specialize in, and in most cases had their own, destination wedding.

Welcome to the forum! I completely understand where you are coming from. It took me months to choose the perfect location. I think it helps to narrow down your search. for instance, do you want a beach wedding? Do you want children to be able to be present? do you want to be in a gazebo? Do you want to see nothing but palm trees to your left and right, or does the sight of other tourists and hotels not bother you? Do you want a private reception on the beach, or in a restaurant? starting to answer questions like that about your dream wedding will definitely help you narrow down a location! OH Margie you poor thing!!! I didn't experience anything like that, but I too hated how everything was "normal." My favorite quote from my doctor while I was pregnant was "yeah... that's normal. It'll go away in August." Please note, I was due in July. And she said that to me IN DECEMBER!!!
