  1. So beautiful! I'm the crazy one that wouldn't leave you alone on the airplane on the way home! LOL!!! I couldn't wait to see your pictures as I knew you were going to make a gorgeous bride, and you did. Your wedding looked lovely!
  2. How lovely! I really like that gift that your cousins wrapped! How creative!!!
  3. Welcome to the forum Sarah! You can definitely pull it off! The only issue you might run into is if you have a very specific date in mind and the resort is already booked on that date. But otherwise, I'm sure you'll do just fine. And the best part is, being that it's freezing cold here in the midwest, I'm sure you'll have a lot of support in going some place warm and fantastic!
  4. The chairs and the white on the wood is included. I brought down blue fabric to have hung by the structure and they had no problem AT ALL doing it for me, so I think pom pons would be fine. However, you might want to think about weighing them down? Perhaps you could use something like fish wire weights Small and not noticable, but will keep them from blowing in the wind? And for the record, I think that would look beautiful!

    Hey!

Hi Lisa! One of my good friends got married in Vegas and it was so much fun to attend her wedding! I hope you find a ton of information on this forum to help you create your dream wedding! Best wishes.
  9. Oh Matthew is just the cutest thing ever!!!!!!!!
  10. I highly recommend waiting a little bit until your reception. The wedding that I photographed in November at the Sandals property had their reception immediately after the ceremony (okay, 30 minutes after the ceremony). Their reception was amazing and on the beach and just beautiful, however there was barely any time for portraits. All that was basically done was formals and two or three pictures of the couple. That is the one regret that she has told me, is that she wished we had more time to take photos.
  11. Welcome to the forum!! I was just photographing a wedding in Negril, and it was so beautiful! What resort are you "dreaming" of getting married at?
  12. Alright, I know you only have the limiting factor of all-inclusive, but let's try and think of some other ones. And not necessarily LIMITING factors, but let's think about your DREAM wedding. Do you picture yourself on the beach? In a garden? In a gazebo overlooking the water? How much do you want your guests to pay? $1000 a couple for 4 nights? $1500 a couple for 4 nights Do you want a private reception for your wedding? Do you want a reception out underneath the stars or inside a restaurant or a disco? Will there be children attending? If not, are you okay with a kid friendly resort, or would you like something more adult like? do you want a huge resort with a ton of stuff for your guests to do, or would you like a more chic hotel where you guys can hang out by the pool drinking margaritas all day? I think putting together your dream wedding wishlist will definitely help you narrow down your search. I also think that having a travel agent, even if it were just the two of you, is a really good idea. They are worth their weight in gold... trust me! And I just realized your from Green Bay! As in Green Bay Wisconsin?? If so, hello my fellow wisconsinite!

    Hi!

WELCOME TO THE FORUM! I love that resort! really, i do! I got married at the Akumal side and I can tell you that the resort complex is amazing. Everyone is still talking about how perfect my wedding was and that was two years ago!!!! If you have any questions just let me know, otherwise I would start out by following that link posted above!
  14. Welcome Amanda! i was just in Playa and it is so beautiful! where are you planning on getting married?
  15. I saw the commercial for that last night. I think that will be fun to watch!
  16. I think it has just around that many rooms. It's really amazing. It was SOOO beautiful and let me tell you, the beach there is just gorgeous. On my blog the latest trash the dress session is done directly in front of that resort. White powder sand and the bluest water ever. Just amazing!
  17. I have these as props for my boudoir sessions and let me tell you, they are hard to come by. Since it's winter, more stores are likely to have them, but I found that finding the really long ones are hard. My best luck was actually at rummage sales and thrift shops! I paid 25 cents for each of my long strands!!
  18. Kelly, I was JUST going to yell at you for not changing your signature picture. yes, Kerrington at the hospital is cute... but I need to see how big she's gotten!!!
  19. Let me tell you, leaving Wisconsin for my wedding was awesome, and my wedding was in APRIL!!! But you know that it can still snow in April (and it DID!). Plus, I sent out my invitations in January when it was freezing and it inspired a few extra people to come
  20. I would recommend where I got married! The Gran Bahia Principe was a perfect fit for our guests and it is usually very reasonably priced. all inclusive - Indeed! I LOVED the food! Yummy all ages - We had children with us, actually two babies who were 1 1/2 years old and they LOVED it. The pools actually have a shallow area that they could sit and play in. It was perfect! In addition, they have a kids area and lots of animation staff that love children! It really was prefect for the kids. beach wedding (actually on the sand) - My feet were IN the sand during my wedding! It was amazing! And it wasn't a swimmable portion of the beach, so there were NO bikini clad people staring at me and in all of my photos. Instead it was on the beach with the beautiful blue water crashing on the rocks in front of us. Perfect, if you ask me around $1500-$1600 for couple 4 days - The GBP is typically around this price including airfare. There are three resorts, (Tulum, Akumal, Coba), and Coba tends to be the cheapest because it's NOT on the beach, however you can use the facilities at all three, so it's not a big deal.
  21. First off, hello fellow wisconsinite!! Love the photo at Miller Park! Here is a recent review of a bride that used the Dreams photographer: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...13-09-a-48478/ However, one thing to think about when you consider bringing in an outside photographer vs going with the resort photographer is the amount of coverage and photos you'll get. For instance, when you fly in your own photographer, you will typically get at least two days of coverage and a great deal on the disc of edited images. So although it might be slighly more expensive when you first think about it, when you think about the amount of photos you'll get and the time spent with you, it really is a great deal to bring in an outside photographer.
  22. Alright, here is a completely different option: Tulum Hotel - Beach cabanas in Tulum Mexico This hotel looks AMAZING!!!! I photographed a trash the dress session at the beach here and it is breath taking. From what I've read, the hotel is prefect for a honeymoon. Very NOT family friendly.
  23. Welcome to the forum!! Which cruise line?? I've gone to OR twice via Carnvial Cruise from Miami. LOVED them. I love cruises in general! Where are you having your ceremony?
  24. Welcome to the forum Celeste! There is a TON of information on ROR, so I hope you have fun learning all there is to learn about the resort, and the area of Jamaica for that matter! Best Wishes!
