  1. My legs hurt just thinking about two hundred squats...
  2. Hi Emily! I LOVE Carnival! Which cruise ship will you be sailing? Are you getting married on the ship or in a port of call?
  3. I'VE BEEN THERE!!!! Sorry, that's nuts. It's a tiny little hole in the wall hotel, so I can't even believe this!!! I have a bunch of pictures and can tell you a bunch about it, if you're interested. Just let me know!
  4. Welcome to the forum! Maui is such an amazing place and all your guests will remember your wedding day forever!! Best wishes!
  5. Welcome to the forum! GRP is a beautiful resort, I was just there this past November. Very pretty. As for your wedding colors, that sounds beautiful to me and that's so sweet that you're doing it because of your mom's favorite flower. As for bridesmaids attire, there are a bunch of threads on the forum with that information, so as your scoping the place out I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. Good luck and best wishes!
  6. Definitely think you'll end up with a teal shade on the chairs. What about doing every other chair? And for the table runners, how about a widder blue one with a green on top? Perhaps just fold the edges of the green under to make it skinnier?
  7. 3 weeks?!?!? Carly, that's awesome! Tell him congratulations from the random internet chick he doesn't know! LOL
  8. I definitely think it's a comfort thing. Would your female guests be comfortable sitting in a sandy situation with a short dress on Also, you'll see chairs on the beach, but you'll also see the mats... so which would look more odd?
  9. This is pretty tough. Most photographers won't offer packages that are less than three hours, as that is how long you'd need to cover the ceremony and then formals afterwards. So maybe you're actually looking for a photography session instead of wedding photos?? Kind of like an engagement session. Just an hour, on the beach. Perhaps you should contact some of the photographers that you like and see what they have to say.
  10. I did it! okay, that's a lie. I started it. I got up to being able to run for 5 straight minutes, which for me is a HUGE accomplishment. I think it was walk 1.5, run 5, walk 3, run 5, walk 3, run 5, walk 3... or something like that when I quit. I actually got sick and then completely unmotivated. I really did like the program though and it was amazing how well it worked. I could barely run 30 seconds before that!! AND, i can now still run 5 minutes straight... so that's a small accomplishment for me (yes, all you runners can now laugh at how much of a running wuss I am! )
  11. That is so cute! How awesome! And you look so happy in the celebratory picture
  12. I photographed a couple on their 10 year anniversary doing a trash the dress in Tulum! It was so much fun, and she just wore a normal dress. Not even white
  13. I LOVED my prenatals! They made me feel really good, and probably because I was then getting all the vitamins and things that I needed. I used Walmart's Nature Source (or something like that) brand. LOVE THEM!!
  14. Welcome to the forum!! I think there have been a lot of brides who have never been to the location of their wedding before. This website will definitely help calm your fears. There are so many reviews and pictures that you're sure to find great information here! Good luck, and best wishes!
  15. Hi Rosalind! Typically a photographer will get back to you within 24 hours, however with destination photographers it occasionally takes a few days longer. It depends on if they are photographing a wedding. However, being as it's been 5 days, perhaps they didn't receive your email?
  16. Been there, done that I did cry. Many, many times. And then I bought a second dress. It was terrible, but it had to be done. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror with that dress on, much less look at my wedding pictures for years. I just couldn't. So, I tried to sell the dress I bought and bought a new one. Good luck!

Did you do this/go there? Or are there other beaches there that you'd recommend? Thanks:) We went to Roatan and then drove to a small city just north (I think) of there. It was more of a cove, so that could be why it was more dirty of water. The lady that owned the place where we were said it was because of the mountains on the island. When it rains the dirt all runs down them and into the water
  18. What about something that says the date you're getting married and where, but then says make sure to save the date for XXXX when we'll be celebrating back home!
  19. Margie, I cannot wait to hear when you have your baby!!! My husband's birthday is 2/22 though, so it's a good day!! Congratulations Alexsbride! That is very exciting!!!
  20. My personal experience: Costa Maya, Mexico - A. MAZ. ING. Seriously, amazing. However, the hurricanes have hit since I've been there and I hear they aren't as good. Tulum - Amazing again. Powder white sand and crystal clear blue water. Just gorgeous. Negril - 7 Mile beach was pretty. Not the clear blue water of Riviera Maya, but pretty. In front of Sandals Negril, very dirty. Playa Del Carmen - beautiful and blue. Not the crystal clear, more of a dark blue. But very pretty. However, rocky beaches in most places with broken coral in sand. Cayman Islands - Very pretty. Crystal clear water. Beautiful. Belize - Pretty in it's own regards, but more of a jungle feel and less clear water. Honduras - Beautiful surroundings... not so clear water.
  21. For our wedding we had two toddlers. We packed them each a back pack with new toys. Little dolls, coloring books, and snacks. BUT, we also packed a little something in the suitcase, so that on the way home they would have new toys again. For some reason kids get bored with toys they know. But if it's a new toy it'll take longer for them to get sick of it!
  22. Yup, about an hour drive. I personally love the drive though. I think it's fun to look at all the resorts along the way! It gets me excited for what mine will look like
