  1. The Daiquri bar in Coba is a great meeting place. It's the wine bar. They usually have nice entertainment, there is a little shopping area right outside, and it's a more "luxurious" feel than most of the other bars.
  2. Yeah, Arlequin isn't offered as a wedding meal. On a VERY rare occasion it will be, like if the resort screws up and they have to give the bride another option, but usually it's off limits. Honestly, if you're foodies... I'd do the poolside dinner. You will have more control over your dinner options. But it's more expensive.
  3. Many people will make their way to the Hacienda. The disco doesn't open until midnight, but there is usually live music in the lobby up until that point. So just make your way to the lobby and then to the hacienda
  4. Cheryl had purple bridesmaid dresses... I LOVED THEM! http://faberphotography.com/weddings/cheryl-aaron-gran-bahia-principe-coba-destination-wedding-photos/2012
  5. A groom!!! hi! You're not the ONLY one, but you're one of few I think you're our first GBP groom!
  6. OOOOOOOO! I love that dress! Very beautiful and it looks great on all of them! Good choice! I think those green flowers will really pop!
  7. VERY beautiful flower choices!!!! What dresses are your bridesmaids wearing?
  8. I would have your FI hold her. Or you could always bring a folding step stool for her to stand on. http://www.diapers.com/p/munchkin-folding-step-stool-blue-36112 You can spray paint it with the rustoleum plastic furniture spray paint and that would work quite well.
  9. This is super sad, and it can honestly happen extremely easily. For brides getting married in Cabo, the surf is very dangerous and will quickly grab ahold of your dress. For ALL brides make SURE that the dress is NOT bustled when entering the water. The bustle will make a parachute that collects water and it makes it very difficult to stand when the tide retreats back to the sea!
  10. Alright, here are just a few pictures! Not edited, just posted for pure viewing enjoyment Here is what the gazebo looks like from the beach. This is the Tulum rain location. You walk in through these doors and get married in front of that fountain. Here are pictures of the Akumal beach side: This is the wedding site. Here are the remaining destroyed palapas (the rest have been fixed) Here is the beach bar (the other one is completely gone, so no pictures... it looks like sand!). This was the one with the swings on it. And the pier: For my next trick... for those of you wondering why I take my GBP brides to a special beach for their trash the dress session... here is the GBP beach And here is the beach I took Mariah & Josh to... Yes... it's true, you should hire me
  11. I would use a travel agent. I have had really bad experience with booking through Expedia and most travel agents can not only match prices of online competitors, but they can also get you free things, such as private transfers. Plus, when at 4am at the airport you have a problem, it's really nice to be able to call and talk to someone that you can understand and who actually has a little bit of sympathy! Trust me... it's happened... actually twice just this month on my way to the Gran Bahia!

I know I've seen the answer in here somewhere but I can't remember, can anyone tell me how long the walk down the aisle is for the Tulum gazebo and for the Tulum beach palapas please...in minutes for songs. Xx.....and do you know if roses and gerbera's are included in the bouquet we get included in the wedding package - do I need to send Jazmin a picture with the colours before we go or can they just get them dyed to any colour while we are there? Jazmin said our reception will be at the club diamond pool - does this mean anything to anyone, I'm debating on bringing lanterns to decorate, do you think we need them or is it nice enough without and if we do bring them how many do you think we will need? I'm sure I'm going to have lots more silly little questions over the next couple of weeks while we get all the last minute bits sorted so thank you in advance,lol..... Nic. Xx I can look at my photographs of Mariah walking down the aisle to be certain, but it's about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes to walk to the ceremony site. Longer for the Palapas as you'd have to make a turn Club Diamond Pool, eh? That's over by the gazebo more. Mariah's was at the main pool, so I'm not sure about the hanging of lanterns. I know that you don't NEED them. And there aren't necessarily easy places to string them from... but it can usually be done. Yeah, I'm not sure if the beach bar will be ready or not. The one by the Club Golden part of Akumal was completely gone. As in, all that was left in the morning was the sink!!! Not even kidding. The swing bar that used to be by the pier is just the concrete base and a tapper! I REALLY need to remember to post pictures, it's kind of amusing. But they really do work hard to fix it, so by next month, it might be shiny and new!!
  13. Awe! And I'd say yes... if I wasn't already married You've been added!!!! Be prepared... it's hot! But the lighting was perfect for the August 10th wedding we just did there and the gazebo area gets a nice breeze.
  14. Allow me to be of assistance!!! It's like my favorite color combo. I literally get giddy when I show up for a wedding and my bride's bouquet looks like that!
