  1. The extra fee is typically because your group is not at a public bar. Most likely, you will have personalized service. If you have more than 20 people, they will need more servers. So although it's all inclusive, you're not using the services provided to everyone else. You're paying extra to have private services.
  2. That would be so awesome if they'd do the outdoor grill option for free!!!! Please keep us updated!
  3. Whoops! Duh. I didn't even read my own data! I think I was thinking of the outside DJs. Resort DJ is indeed $210. SORRY!
  4. I've updated my list of recent weddings with my most recent trash the dress and Riviera Maya wedding pictures! I hope you enjoy! Tulum, Mexico Trash the Dress Photo Session Gran Bahia Principe Tulum Destination Wedding
  5. Yup, that's the policy. The food is delicious and I think everyone just eats what they like off the plate. I'm a very picky eater and I have never been hungry after one of the wedding receptions.
  6. The bar is $5 and then $3 per each additional hour. However, the DJ is $350+ an hour. So if you have the typical 3 hour reception, that'd be just about right.
  7. Don't feel bad Shellee, I think it's a good reminder for everyone. And hopefully it'll all work out in the end for you. Just over two weeks away!!! And on that note, I JUST posted Mariah & Josh's wedding on the blog and I thought some of you who are getting married at the Gazebo might like to see it. www.faberphotography.com. Enjoy!
  8. I personally perfer to fly in my photographer But there really are a lot of talented people on this forum. The vendor section should serve you well
  9. This is a really cute idea!! I would recommend mypublisher, as I think their quality is far better. And remember the amount of guests that you'll have vs page numbers and sizes. You don't want only one, or even no signatures on a page.
  10. yeah, with arriving on Wednesday, I think Thursday would be a really great day for a low key pool day. Hanging out and letting your guests get to know each other.
  11. It's a three day minimum, but yeah. There is a fee if you bring in a local photographer
  12. Yeah, you are one of the very few people who have had their reception there. Not sure why they don't offer it typically. The food is delicious and the view is gorgeous! The Daiquiri bar is where they have live music and I believe it would be considered the piano bar. I was in there, and not a premier member, but maybe they were more lenient?
  13. Morning! Wow! What a wonderful group you have for your wedding! Congratulations! Arlequin is not offered as a wedding dinner location. However, I agree, it's delicious! As for the lack of response, she's very busy and the wedding is pretty far out. If you still haven't heard anything in a week or two, copy in Paloma and you should get a better response.
  14. With 70 guests, it will be a set menu. We did the poolside dinner, and it was worth every penny to us. However, everyone is different. I only had 35 guests. We did the grill option and it was buffet style. Very delicious and SO many options for our guests.
  15. You're getting married on my five year anniversary!!!!!!!! I love that And I also can't believe it's been five years! Wow! With a group of 14 I'm not sure if the poolside reception is the best idea. Perhaps the live entertainment in the lobby would be better? But it's up to your group. If they are party animals and love to dance, then you'll be fine with the intimate poolside reception.
  16. One is seafood and one is italian. So I guess whichever your group would enjoy more.
