  1. I like number one. I enjoy the small flowers better. I think that way the flower won't take away from the style of your hair, but rather inhance it.
  2. Welcome! Please make sure to share all experiences with that hotel, as I don't think anyone has yet. I hope to be able to help you with anything you need! Happy planning!
  3. You could promote it as having "high ceilings" or "exposed beams" or "airy"
  4. Well, three years it is then. Good news is that you can start compiling ideas and you'll have a lot of awesome ones to choose from by then! Also, three years PLUS, if you save $50 a month for the next three years you'll have enough to pay for your vacation!
  5. OK, love the sandal. I can tell that it's too big, and that's a shame, but they are cute!
  6. Welcome! I'm so happy to hear that you planning has been going smoothly! I hope it continues!
  7. Do you find it sad that I actually have their blogs bookmarked and I check every week for new photos? I love both of your work!

Welcome... I'm not from Mass, although that seems to be common. Sorry. But, I am planning on having a DW so hopefully I can become your friend that way! Please let me know if you need any help with anything

I think you have posted a new resort! Which means, you will have to be the knowledge fountain and teach us all! We'll be more than happy to help with the common things, OOT bags, dresses, and of course we'll be happy to comment on any photos posted! We love photos!!!! So, welcome and I hope you find everything you need!
  10. I agree with tying on just one leg, but I think they are great! I would use both colors so the table looks more festive. An idea, if anyone is doing this for an at home reception (or even at the DW), but sometimes the caterer needs to know who’s eating what (i.e. beef or chicken). A clever way to differentiate is with the ribbon. Blue for beef, red for chicken. That way you don't actually have to write out everyone's choice and everyone will think the caterer’s just know!

Welcome! I'm sure you're sick of reading this by now, but Italy! Wow! So exciting! I hope we can supply you with information, and perhaps you could start a thread on places to get married in Italy. I'm sure there are brides who would find that very interesting!
  12. Another option that I was considering is the straw type beach mat. OTC sells them for $2.95 a piece of something like that. I thought these would be lighter in my suitcase so more affordable.
  13. Thank you so much Sol. I can't wait to see what other tips you list for us. I think you are in a great position to be of service to us. Not only do take amazing photography, but now that you're planning your wedding you are looking at other details as well. I'm very excited to hear more! Any fun weddings coming up that will be posted on your blog??
  14. Ann, you should just have your insurance take care of it. They will subrogate with whoever is resonsible, but you shouldn't have to deal with that stress. But, I know how you feel. We built our house two years ago and for some weird reason I decided to go into the basement one morning (no clue why because we don't have anything of importance in our basement), good thing I did. The plumber never connected two pipes and our basement was filling up with water at an alarming rate! AHHH!!! Stressful. But, it'll be OK.
  15. My only fear of flip flops is flipping sand up my dress! Has anyone tried wearing flip flops for the ceremony yet? How did it go?
  16. Sophie, for the December to January that you've been checking, you won't be able to find prices yet. Most resorts haven't published their 08 rates yet, which is why it's only showing the one really expensive resort. I'm not sure if a TA would be able to get you actual rates, but it's worth checking. It will be more expensive though. I think a summer wedding would be great, and we'll all certainly help you with some ideas to get the planning ball rolling.
  17. Welcome and congratulations! I hope you'll share your engagement story!
  18. Sorry, I like the second one too. But, both are nice.
  19. The good news is, none of your guests knew what they were going to get, so now they get an official mexican suvi. I think that's pretty cool. I'm sure you'll find something really amazing!
  20. I really like the second ones, but you should definately try them with your dress. The jewels might snag the fabric and cause an untimely disaster.
  21. Welcome! And congratulations on deciding on a destination wedding! Best of luck planning!
  22. Welcome, sadly I will be of no use for your resorts, but I'm sure plenty of the ladies or gents on this site will be able to get you some great information!
