  1. They have a new mall, which is awesome. I guess it's not that new, but still. It's down towards Circus Circus. It's really nice. They also have a nice outlet mall that's a little off the strip. For entertainment, there is such a variety of things to do! If you don't want to spend money, then spend a night walking the strip. There is the volcano show, the Ballagio water show, the MGM has some stuff... it's fun. As far as eating goes, it all depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend! I enjoy eating downtown. I find it more adventurous... however that could lead to gastronomical difficulties!!
  2. Alright TI - I loved it... but, it's at the end of the strip. Not a big deal Binons - OK, STAY AWAY! We were there over Super Bowl Sunday last year, for a friends wedding. On Super Bowl Sunday, all hotels were booked except this one... and it was only $20 a night. Bonus. YEAH RIGHT! I would have paid $500 NOT to stay there. I was terrified! The casino part is just fine, but our room scared me. The bathroom was awful, the bed had burn holes every where along with a lot of long hairs. It was filthy and bad. I actually stayed out quite late that night so I wouldn't have to sleep in that bed. And when I did go to sleep, I put on a long sleeve shirt, long pants, full crew socks. And i wrapped the pillow in a t-shirt. It was bad. Fitzgeralds - this is where the wedding reception was held and where we spent the rest of our trip. I must say, for an old hotel, I thought it was lovely. Very large rooms, with GREAT views. It was nice. The reception was nice I guess. It was $75 a plate though... TOTALY not worth it. I actually didn't like the food at all.
  3. Welcome Julia! I can't wait to hear your engagement story! It sounds wonderful! let us know what you are looking for in a wedding site and hopefully we can help you out!
  4. Welcome! Coming from LA, I'd say that your most economical bet would be Cabo. There are plenty of brides that will give you A TON of information! I'm sure you'll find everything you're looking for right here.
  5. IMO, if you are saying personal vows, you will probably want it. I know that if I did personal vows I'd be crying so hard I'd have no idea what he said to me!!! On another note, I too think that your family might like to see your wedding since they couldn't be there. I would assume that you are having a very short ceremony, so it's not like it'll be painful for people to watch. Hmm... I don't think I helped. How about you flip a coin?
  6. Welcome! Sorry I'm a little late to this post, but I've been looking at the Gran Bahia resorts near Tulum. Let me know if you'd like any information.
  7. I personally have not been to Sandals Whitehouse, however my sister and her husband were there opening week (pretty sweet, they got a free weekend stay out of the deal). At the time it wasn't completely finished, but what was there was beautiful. She did comment on the noseeums though. Lots of beach bugs.
  8. I have used the Crest and this just reminded me that it's probably time to do it again. In my experience it lasts 2 years (I've done them twice), however I don't drink coffee or soda, so that could have something to do with it. It worked wonderfully though. Gorgeous! i actually didn't use all 14 days because my teeth got too white (think Friends), but that was nice because when I notice that they might be darkening a little I use the remainder of the box.

    Hola!

Welcome Jessica! I think your wedding will be wonderful with 10-15 people. It'll allow you to make for a more intimate setting. I think it'll be great.
  10. Welcome Jen! Have you done any destination weddings? It has recently come to our attention that photographers can be a great resource to us! Please post any tips that you may have!
  11. Welcome Tina! I really like your idea of everyone staying at the AI and then renting out the house next door! that's such a great idea! Will everyone be able to just walk on the beach to the new location, or will you have to arrange transportation?
  12. Welcome! I hope you find everything you need to plan a wonderful wedding here on this site! As for the AI or not AI, I agree with Glenda that it completely depends on what your guests would want. Or, what you would want. Some people choose AI's because you don't have to carry cash, or it's cheaper once people add up their drinks. Others DON'T want an AI because they'll eat or drink too much, will feel like they can't venture into town to eat, or it's too expensive. It's all up to you!
  13. Technically, if they are jerks, as long as your dress is in a bag, you should be good to go. You don't have to have a certain size luggage, you just have to be able to stuff whatever luggage you have into a special size box. They VERY rarely make you do this, but if they did, then just stuff your dress in. It won't get any more wrinkled than if you bought a carry on, it'll just be less expensive.
  14. When I was in Miami Beach last, we stayed at the Fontainebleau Resort Hotel. It's right on the beach, has a couple gorgeous pools... and very nice dinning. I really enjoyed it.
  15. Did anyone watch Bam's Unholy Union? Now, his vows were funny!
  16. Wow! Your wedding looked AWESOME! I love it! Beautiful!
  17. Welcome Erynn! Like mentioned above, I'd love to hear your engagement story and any plans that you already have for your wedding... and of course we like all detail descriptions done with photos!!!!
  18. According to an insurance newsletter I receive at work... Seventeen named storms will form in the Atlantic basin between June 1 and November 30, and nine will become hurricanes, predicts Colorado State University's Tropical Meteorology Department. So, I would say that hurricane season is from June through November... then again, Cabo is on the Pacific Ocean... so maybe I'm just rambling.
  19. I saw it... and I love it. I think you were so beautiful and everything looked like SO much fun!
  20. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! I hope you'll find everything you need to finish up your planning. Would you mind sharing what you have so far?
  21. I used Word to make mine... and I have made about 30 different designs! Once you have the fonts (Dafont.com), clipart, and some ideas then you can go from there!
  22. Welcome! I've been to Cayman twice through Carnival and I love that island! I hope you'll be willing to share a review for future cruise brides!
