  1. Hi Marie-Eve! It's actually a rule on the forum that we can't send private messages to solicit services. You'll have to contact the photographers directly. Here is a great place to start: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/f/98/destination-wedding-vendor-marketplace
  2. Welcome to the forum Carla! I can't help, as I've never been to Hawaii, but I wanted to say welcome! Your wedding sounds amazing, and viewing the fireworks with your guests sounds like a perfect way to end the evening. I hope you find what you're looking for.
  3. Congratulations on securing your wedding date!! Here is a photo tour of Dreams Los Cabos that I put together. I think it'll help you out: http://faberphotography.com/dreams-los-cabos-wedding-photo-tour/ The Oceana Terrace is by the quiet pool, but it is directly overlooked by a large amount of hotel rooms (a picture in the photo tour is from our hotel room looking down at the terrace). The Cascade Pool Terrace is really beautiful, and because it's at the lower level of the poo, it seems more private even though it's actually in the center of the resort. So one can be viewed by a lot of guests in their rooms, one people can walk past more easily... horse a piece. Just choose whichever one you think is perfect for your wedding. Here is the full wedding that I photographed with the Oceana Terrace: http://faberphotography.com/weddings/victoria-alastair-dreams-los-cabos-gazebo-wedding/2011 Here is a full wedding that I photographed with the Cascade Pool Terrace: http://faberphotography.com/weddings/dream-lowedding-at-dreams-los-cabos-mexico/2011
  4. I've always been able to use the sockets, but some of the outlets are recessed so you can't get bigger plugs into them. Some of them also don't have the third grounding prong, so a cheap adapter wouldn't be terrible
  5. A New Orleans bride! How exciting! I don't think we have very many on this forum at all, so it'll be interesting to hear about your planning. I hope it's amazing!
  6. Emily, that dress looks fantastic on you and it'll look amazing on the beach!!! No worries at all. Personally, I think the bird cage veil is a better option. The long veil is gorgeous, but it gets lost in the details of the dress.
  7. Our cocktail hour was in the Akumal theater (but it's called Tulum bar or something TOTALLY confusing like that). But it's right next to the lobby, so very close to where the outdoor reception is.
  8. I was told my dinner time, and I believe Mariah and Cheryl were too (the two brides I've photographed there). But it all works out For the cocktail hour, the wedding coordinator set aside chairs in the Akumal theater bar area. It was "private" and didn't cost me a thing. Basically, I would just have a common meeting area. Like "meet at such and such bar at 5:30pm for cocktails before dinner"
  9. I had cocktail hour at 5:30, dinner started at 7. Mariah's reception at the Don Pablo went from 6:30-8 I think 6:30 is the typical start time.
