Could you happen to have a guest that is an excellent photographer? I don't think that a resort could tell a guest at your wedding that they couldn't shoot photos! I think that's how a lot of destination wedding photographers do it. You pay for their travel expenses and they are instantly a guest at your wedding

Just and FYI, endo can only be determined through surgery... well, at least when I was diagnosed about 5 years ago that was the case. I went through about 2 years of random severe pain that would stop me in my tracks. I was sent to ALL kinds of doctors (IBS doctors included and funny enough, I was told ulcers too). Finally someone decided to check for endometriosis as a last resort. Sure enough.

LOL, yeah, that's what I would like to say... but I'm thinking some people won't like that I was thinking more along the lines of "Dear family and friends, We're engaged... blah blah blah. After thinking about all the places we'd like to get married... blah blah blah, we've decided on Mexico. We know not everyone will be able to join us due to time and money constraints..." and then that's where i get hung up! What do I say... but, too bad if you can't come because I'll party with the people who can? I just wanted to get in there somehow that I understand that people can't come and I won't hold it against them, but this is what we really wanted. I would like to put this little note on the back side of my boarding pass envelope. Anny's actually inspired me to do this... although I have NO idea what her's said!!! it was in Spanish!

Yup, surgery. It's annoying because I have to have it done so often. It's laproscopic, so beside from the many small scars all over my stomach, it's not that bad and isn't too painful.

I was wondering if anyone sent a letter with their STDs explaining why they choose a destination wedding? I am trying to word something together for future use... but everything sounds funny. Could anyone post an example of what they wrote?

Michelle, it does sound like maybe it could be endo, but it's odd that it is gone now. Perhaps it was just a cyst that was leaking (had that too). But, I have endo really bad on my bladder so it feels like I have a bladder infection all the time. It's the most miserable thing EVER, well, until I have surgery. Then I'm fine for about 2 years.

Well, it could be a variety of things. For me, I have endometriosis so every time I ovulate my ovaries must contract or something causing the endo tissue outside of them to be in pain. Of course, I also have had ovarian cysts which hurt at the ovulation time for the same reason. I would start tracking it on a calendar so that you can easily see what day of the month it is. mine always happens 14 days after my cycle ends and it can last for 1-3 days.

I must say I was completely bummed every time that anyone got engaged within the last year. Shawn and I have talked about it for so long, and we have been dating the longest... but everyone else got engaged and not us. And then when they set there wedding dates I was even more upset. They are all right around when I want to get married. Luckily I'm the only one doing a destination wedding, so hopefully mine will be something different that everyone doesn't dread going to.

I was going to say Gluton as well. It's pretty much in everything so that could explain the weirdness. Otherwise I have stomach problems with carbs. Or it could be something completely not related to food. Write down what day of the month it happens on. perhaps it happens when you ovulate (I have that too).

Well hopefully now that your man knows about it he'll get his hinder into gear!!

I personally don't think my guests would be very happy with that. I think they would feel rushed and not relaxed at all. Now, if they choose to do this on their own, that's a different story.

If you are using them as placecards I would get the larger ones. When you attach a name tag to it, the tag will be bigger than the starfish or too small to read if you get a 2-3" star fish.

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! That is just amazing and I absolutely love the journal entry! I was almost in tears and I certainly had goosebumps!!! How amazing!

heck no! I'm proud of my local grocery store and the delightful snacks they provide me with! everyone knows I can't cook, so they would know I was lying!
