  1. I chose the Bahia Principe because although the price for the wedding is stiff, the price for the vacation is very low compared to every where else. i figured I'd rather pay more for the wedding than have our guests bail out over additional costs.
  2. 3 yrs, 2 months when he proposed... 3 yrs 10 months when we will be married
  3. OH, Shawn gets my PMS for me! I swear, I don't get any symptoms of PMS (thank heavens)... but he is ALWAYS crabby about two days before my period. It's so weird and it's like clock work! Oh... while I'm thinking about it I wonder if I just have a lower tolerance... NOPE, he's crabby!
  4. That is exactly the same schedule as I had... no big deal!
  5. Oh that is so awesome!!! The MB is a great hotel! You guys will have an amazing time!

First off, you must have 50 people for the poolside reception. It's $46 dollars a person for the meal. You can choose from three different menus: BBQ, Carribean, Mexican. You get 5 entrees and it's set up buffet style. All dinnerware is china. Then, if you want drinks, it's $5 per person for the first hour, and $3 each additional hour. And that's only for Margaritas, beer, pina coladas, and champagne. Anything else is even more. The DJ is $150 an hour. I have photos and menus if you'd like to see them. Just PM me.
  7. So, I'm getting antsy to post my "wedding stuff" so I'll start with my PDF files that I have. I made brochures for the wedding. The first one was just mailed to my guests last week along with luggage tags. It has information on the airport and what to expect at the resort. The second one will be waiting for them when they arrive and has some fun and funny facts about the vaca. welc v2.pdf Arrival Letter.pdf
  8. YES! You do! The other restuarant for my wedding date was reserved back in August already!!! it doesn't matter to me, since I'm doing to pool thing... but if I weren't I'd be upset!
  9. Thank you so much for posting this! This is exactly where I am getting married so it really helps me visualize! Thanks!!!
  10. Personally, we all know she's nuts... but wouldn't it be funny if your FI sent the picture of her to her new husband? Say "Nut Job sent me this picture of herself... but I'm sure she meant to send it to you."

Do I need anything else? Also about the time of the wedding, Jazmin said it was booked for the time I requested but that was only going to be confirmed after the judge has all of our paperwork. Should I be worried about this time changing? Hi! I am only brining our passport, tourist card, witnesses, and blood work. NO birth certificate. You only need the birth certificate if you are remarrying or your name doesn't match your passport. If that IS the case, then you need your birth certificate tranlated and an apposile seal or something like that. As for the time of wedding, mine has changed three times already... so YES, it's quite possible it will change

I'm sure if you are eating in the restaurants you can have smaller tables.
  13. I FINALLY GOT A RESPONSE!!!!! YIPPEE!! Not really the responses I wanted... No large table set up, just rounds of 10. The bouquet I want would be $600!!!! Yeah, that's not happening She won't translate and apostile my marriage certificate... B WORD. But, other than that the reponses were helpful and I just appreciated her talking to me!!!
  14. Yeah, i'm getting married at the Akumal side, but I'm having a private reception by the pool.
  15. Nope. If you stay at Akumal you have to get married at the Akumal locations. And the gazebo at Tulum isn't an option.
  16. DANG! That is a darn good price! I need to go check out this site now!!
  17. Hm, i didn't even THINK about that! I should go to my craft store and see if I can find anything. if not, I'll be PMing you Thanks for the wonderful idea!
  18. These are all the restaurants and their menus. BAHIA-GOURMET.COM :::: Don Pablo is Tulum's "gourmet" restaurant.
  19. Hi! Does anyone have any extra beach themed wine charms they'd be interested in selling? I just need ONE pack to give as a small thank you gift. Please PM me if you do. Thanks!
  20. Good news! He actually responded to Carly today!!! Yippee! he said he has a shipment coming in today and he will go through and get us as many as he can. Now, he is a compulsive liar, so who knows if it's the truth... but it's nice to at least THINK he's doing his job!
  21. I ordered metalic playing cards from OTC and they were $7.95 for 12 I think. And they are full size. I would def. recommend getting full size cards over the ones the size of your thumb.
  22. Yeah, Carrie can have her reception at the Le Gourmet. It all depends on the resort that you are staying at. Which, stinks... but makes sense. You MUST eat at the place that you stay. Here are the options: Tulum- Tequila (Mexican), La Gran Tortuga (Grill) Akumal –Dolce Vita (italian), Frutos del Mar (fisherie) Coba – Le Gourmet (gourmet), Mediterráneo (mediterranean food), Pescador (fisherie), El Charro (Mexican)
  23. I am an April bride! And I am getting married on 4/11. Oh Glenda knows me so well! I'm getting married at the Gran Bahia resort. Are you starting to get excited for your wedding?
  24. I agree with the ladies. Let the guys keep that outfit from Jamaica and wear that... and tell FFIL to NOT wear the tux. That's just silly! If just one groomsman wore the outfit, maybe it'd look too casual, but with them all wearing it I think it'll look just fine. Don't worry!
  25. OOO Moose Jaw. GREAT food. Or at least it has been everytime I've been there. They also have a really fun delivery car which is a PT Cruiser with a moose on the top of it! It's nuts! My bridesmaid actually got engaged there! How fun. So, what age range are we talking about at this cheerleading comp?
