We were thinking of doing the mixed grill for dinner by the pool, and then following it by the "dance, drink" reception by the pool with two hours with the DJ. During the dinner we would most likely just play our Ipod on our sound dock, but we thought this might be fun. So I guess in total, guest would be there for about 3-4 hours. Does this sound like a good idea? I love my friends, but they keep relating everything here to a wedding at home, so it is difficult to get good opinions... What do you guys think?? Just as a warning... we wanted to do the Mixed Grill. 1. Because it didn't require 50 people. 2. because it was cheaper. however we were NOT allowed. they said that option is NOT for weddings and they won't do it. So make sure you confirm that with them before you get down there. it would be really disappointing to tell all of your guests you'll be eating under the stars and then not be able to.
As for the dance, drink by the pool... that's exactly what we did. The timeline is 7:30-10:30... 7:30-8:30 being the dinner.
