LOL, yeah... that was an issue for me too! What i ended up doing was packing all 35 of our mugs in a large suitcase standing up. I removed the caps of each mug and stuffed as much as I could into each mug so there wouldn't be wasted space. Then I shugged things between the mugs too! It looked just plain silly... but it worked! It was really great then on the way home too because i had a completely empty suitcase and I put my wet wedding dress in it -

I recommend writing down what you want in a resort... big/small kids/no kids beach wedding/gazebo wedding/church wedding Great swimming beach/not necessary Fine dining? Those types of questions will help you narrow down which all-inclusive works best for you!

That could work... but I think they'd have to be set up before the wedding, and then an hour is typically actually only a 40 minute set with a break. So maybe to get your monies worth you should have them play before the ceremony while guests are arriving, being seated, and then the ceremony?

Welcome! I don't know much about the Royal, but I was worried like you were. Turns out I budgeted for the high end and it was $5,000 less than that in the end! That made me REALLY happy! So basically, I would say set a budget and then figure out the cost of staying there on the high end. If it's still within your budget... then you've found your resort. If it's not, then there are plenty of resorts in the Playa area. Good luck!

I understand your frustrations... but it's true that there is more than one wedding a day. I think there was THREE on my wedding day at my ONE resort! Ha! In fact, I KNOW there was at least three. But don't worry. They deal with multiple weddings every single day and they run like clockwork. Your wedding will be beautiful and flawless and exactly what you want.

Poor puppy!!! I love the third picture though... even with the cone on I think it's a great picture. Sad story though.

My guests stayed between 7 and 3 days, with most staying 7. Here was our schedule: Moday - Arive Tuesday - met with our coordinator and everyone just hung out at the pool. Wednesday - excusions and the 5/3 day people arrived Thursday - Salon day for the girls (nails)Welcome/Rehearsal dinner Friday - Wedding Saturday - Trash the Dress, 3 day people left Sunday - Final day at the resort Monday - 5/7 day people left

Oh no! That's so sad... but I'm glad you guys still had a lot of fun on vacation. It's a shame that I'm going to NC two weeks after your NEW wedding date, otherwise I'd offer to photograph it for free. Bummer. Oh well. It'll be awesome and amazing... even if it's a little stressful! -
Try not to let it get too stressful. Most everything will work itself out. What kind of things are starting to stress you out?

Welcome! I got married in April at the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal in the Riviera Maya. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to everyone! IT was UBER kid friendly and just beautiful. The resort was clean and the food was great. Our wedding was more than I could have ever asked for and I was overwhelmed with how perfect it was. We were able to have our ceremony on the beach and then our reception underneath the stars. Talk about amazing!! PM me if you'd like to discuss further!

Oh yeah! Sharing photographers is a win win for both parties! Since airfare is typically the same no matter how many days you stay, it cuts that cost in half for both brides! From the photographers stand point, they get more experience shooting in a beatiful location and they get to make two brides extremely happy! -

I would say send a save the date as soon as possible. That way people can start planning and saving money. Then, 3-4 months before send the official invite.
