  1. Ok Wow, look at you go! Good finds - I particularly like the "48 bags for $49.99" price! lol
  2. No offense to your sister, but what did she expect??! When you think about it - you're at a resort for a week or so, and (depending on your resort choice) all meals are included and the flight there. That sounds like a good price to me! I forked over almost 3k (2700) for my cousins wedding and was happy to do so to get a relaxing week in the RM! If it's a DW that you want, then go ahead with it. If no one wants to go then have an at-home reception when you get back and show everyone the pictures of what they missed out on!
  3. Oh ya - she does great work. From what I've seen you won't be disappointed! lol that didn't take very long for you to decide - it must have been a killer of a deal!!!
  4. lol BORE?! I don't think so! Plus, what you posted before is such a teaser - you can't possibly think we'd be happy with just those! Definately post more - as many as your comfortable sharing. I agree with Melissa - when I ask to see more of someones b-pics I feel a little bit like a perv!
  5. I've heard that when they do the renos, they're very modest about it and most people don't even notice - i.e. they close off a section, so its not like your room is going to be right in the middle of it! I don't know this for sure, but that's the word on the street! Tammy would probably know for sure.
  6. Ya, but when do we see more?? Or did you already post more and I missed them?
  7. Ya, thanks for posting that information - definately helpful!! So, she is just helping you with the flower aspect of your wedding? And FREE OF CHARGE?!? Yowza!!
  8. Hey Nicole! Welcome to the forum. Did you have a list of resorts in mind, maybe we can help you with info on ones you've already selected? I have also heard great things about Moon Palace, but have never been.
  9. The day after I got engaged, my mom took me out and we both got "planning journals". I write about my planning progress and other wedding stuff about once a month. It's something that will be really neat to show my kids when they get married (if I remember where I put it!). Every time something major happens, I make sure to write in it. It's even fun to go back and read now (10 months into the engagement)

  12. hahaha, omg ... how can something be so gross and so yummy at the same time?!
  13. There was a thread on this a while back, and I remember thinking that I didn't really fit in with what everyone else was saying. I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke don't fix it!". Aaron and I talk everything through, and never fight. I don't see the point. Although, in the other thread someone posted a book they suggested to get of 100 Questions or something like that. I seriously considered that (and still am). We've been together for almost 7 years, there's not much we haven't already talked about!
  14. I prefer laser, I *think* I can see a major difference!! The only thing about that is making sure you get the right kind of paper. It's easy to find the cardstock colour you love, but sometimes it's inkjet only and then it'll jam easily, not grab the paper properly, or the image won't get burned onto the paper properly and it'll look really smudged. I didn't realize this until I tired it after we got the new printer and I was cursing endlessly at it! If you're unsure, write down the model number of your printer and ask the "knowledgable" sales associate!
  15. Tara, since they should know a lot about it, a lot of TAs will be able to suggest an awesome location for you.
  16. Hey, welcome to the Dreams Cabo club!! lol - there are TONS of us Dreams Cabo brides here. BTW - you're sooo on track. I can't believe you have people making reservations already!!!
  17. Umm, ok *jealous*!!! I'd ask you to post pictures if you have any, but I'm afraid I'll fall in love with it too and change my mind yet again!!!
  18. Ooh, less than three months!! Any words of wisdom for those of us who are still (what seems like) ages away from our weddings??
  19. Welcome!! We do have a few DR brides here that should be able to give you the help you might need! Let any of us know if you have any questions!
  20. lol my mom is my MOH, so she'll be wearing something to fit into the wedding party. However, if she was just there as a MOB, I'd probably gently suggest something. I'd say something like "Mom, I found this really nice dress I think would look great on your for the wedding - what do you think?". But if she wants to wear something else, I really don't care.
  21. Tara - are you thinking of switching your location again?

  23. lol I just had to send that to Aaron, who use to work for Geek Squad. The stories he'd come home with sometimes were hilarious!

  25. YES! Of course you can!! I did the same thing; searched for a dress I thought I wanted. Recently I tried on a big poofy dress and loved it. Its not a destination wedding dress, but I loved the way it felt/looked. The funny thing is I tried on this dress just for fun - I wasn't even considering it! Anyways, my point is that DWs don't follow any rules, if this is the dress you want the get it!!!
