  1. Oh wow, what a gorgeous wedding and an absolutely stunning bride!!!
  2. My daily stop by to look at the picture isn't working now - I get a red x...

Hopefully I won't need them this time. *fingers crossed*
  4. Woot!! Amy to the rescue!!! I don't have any more information, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum!! Also, it seems to be a common problem to have slow/unresponsive wedding coordinators, so don't let it shake you. Once that coordinator gets back from holidays, hopefully you'll have better luck!
  5. I think it'd be different if she was bringing a whole crew of people, but I think single guests are entitled to bring a guest. It'd be the same if Uncle Joe that you love dearly were to bring his girlfriend of 5 months. I agree, I hate going to weddings alone (or even tagging along with family), I love having Aaron there for support and someone to lean on. Maybe she just feels like she's going to be left out. I definately think you should just let this one go and let her bring the date.

Well, I quit using Herbal Essences when I bought Redken (for Coloured Hair) and I quickly discovered your tip about applying to the roots, because it felt greasy (eew!). So now I've stopped doing that. It is soft, and health-ish... but really not what I'd expect from such expensive stuff! My hair is just past my shoulders and I use conditioner about the size of a quater through the ends. But it still doesn't have oomph to it!
  8. Sorry, this is the site I bought through. Shipping was KILLLLLLLLER, but not many places will send to Canada, plus this place guarantees the safe arrival of everything. Sand Dollars, Sand Dollar, Sanddollars, Sandollar, Sandollars, Bank
  9. Ooh, good one Jennette!! I ordered the shells from a (I think) qualityshells.com hmm, let me see if I can find the thread I posted it in earlier...
  10. So after your help Erica, I went out and bought Redken (the kind that's for dyed hair). I have to admit, at first I didn't like it. It made my hair feel kinda of stringy, and I really had to get use to the amount of conditioner, I was clearly using too much! I used Herbal Essences before, and thought it worked well. I'm kind of cheap, so forking over almost $40 for two small (and I mean SMALL!) bottles of shampoo/condition seemed like a bit much. But, I've used it for almost 2 weeks now, and I think it's really starting to work. It definately does feel softer than it did when I first started using it (but again, getting use to the doses was key!)... but it's just not as soft and healthy feeling/looking as I'd expect it to be for $40. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there something else I can do to give it a bit more ooomph? I have super thick hair (or so I'm often told by my hairdressers), but it's really kind of lifeless. Any tips?

I guess. lol. j/k Sabina. If you find one, feel free to post!

That makes your quoted price look good though, doesn't it?! Edited to add: It was the cost for the flights from Canada that really hurt us though, I don't remember how much the breakdown was (flights, room etc), but I do remember the flights being pretty high.
  13. Alright my Canadian pals, We're all sick of those shipping costs! Post your used/bookmarked Canadian Sites ... and help our budgets!! Anything from OOT Bag goodies, to invites. Alos, if you have any really good Canadian stores that you have been to (chains or otherwise), post 'em here! We need to help eachother out! lol ... and thanks, eh!

I'm going to start a thread for good Canadian sites for things like this.. would you mind to post this website in there, and then after you get them follow up with the quality (if you remember!)?
  15. Am I slow when it comes to other people's destination weddings?! lol. When my cousin sent us an invite, the price tag on the trip was $2500 to El Dorado Royale, and I didn't think twice! I thought that was a pretty good price considering almost everything is included! Her "wedding" (it was cancelled but we all still went!) was in March and we traveled from Canada. I think that's a pretty good price. When people think about what they would normally pay for a vacation with food and drinks and some activities - that's a pretty good price in comparison!

So when I say that I can smell the dentist office, you're wondering if they'll come out with a perfume, "dentist office" smell?! lol
  18. Hey Corri, welcome to the forum! Dreams Tulum is a gorgeous resort. Have you ever been there before? I was there in March for a site visit and it was very nice. How are the plans coming along so far? You're only 5 months away, you must be so excited!!!

And prior to that I'd had only 1. Sucky! It always seems that when I think I won't have any cavaties, I have them... and when I think for sure the dentist is going to give me crap, he praises me for good work! lol... wtf?! Well, he told me when I had it done that they can't guarantee they get it all, apparently the majority of the time they do, but sometimes some of it is missed and the root canal has to be redone. Boo. He's a good dentist though... as far as dentists go! lol

  23. AHH! Last year I had to go to the dentist for two (yes TWO) root canals and it was hell (H-E-double-hockeysticks! lol) They're both at the very back, the molars next to my wisdom teeth and it took FIVE hours to finish both, with one washroom break. Now, I've been experiencing slight pain in one of the teeth and I have to have the root canal re-done because they didn't get the entire infection and it's starting to spread again. omg, so painful! I hate the dentist so much, I swear.. when I was on the phone with them this morning, I could SMELL the dentist's office - yea, you all know the dentist office smell! I'm really, really, really not looking forward to this, but I want it done before my trip to Cabo next month, otherwise it might just get worse! So I have a consultation appointment next Wednesday where we'll talk about what will happen and make sure none of the others need any work, and then I have to GO BACK for the root canal. Seriously - torture!
  24. There are several men sitting around in the locker room of a private club after exercising. Suddenly a cell phone on one of the benches rings. One of the men picks it up, and the following conversation ensues: "Hello?" "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?" "Yes." "Great! I am at the mall two blocks from where you are. I just saw a beautiful mink coat. It's absolutely gorgeous!! Can I buy it?" "What's the price?" "Only $1,500.00." "Well, OK, go ahead and get it, if you like it that much ... " "Ahhh, and I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the 2001 models. I saw one I really liked. I spoke with the salesman, and he gave me a really good price ... And since we need to exchange the BMW that we bought last year ... " "What price did he quote you?" "Only $60,000 ... " "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options." "Great! But before we hang up, something else ... " "What?" "It might look like a lot, but I was reconciling your bank account and I stopped by the real estate agent this morning and saw the house we had looked at last year. It's on sale!! Remember? The one with a pool, English Garden, acre of park area, beachfront property ... " "How much are they asking?" "Only $450,000 - a magnificent price ... And I see that we have that much in the bank to cover ... " "Well, then go ahead and buy it, but just bid $420,000. OK?" "OK, sweetie ... Thanks! I'll see you later!! I love you!!!" "Bye ... I do too ... " The man hangs up, closes the phone's flap, and raises his hand while holding the phone and asks to all those present: "Does anyone know who this phone belongs to?
