  1. The rooms look great (they've been renovated since I was there). And I love the bright colours used in that wedding set up... suddenly I find myself completely re-thinking my colours!
  2. Welcome Helen!!! Don't feel like a fraud, we have a few MOB's here including Lizzy (who is the most active mother of the bride) and my mom is on this forum too!! It's always good to hear another perspective! Let us know if you have any questions!
  3. Here's to safe travels, a fabulous time in Mexico, the wedding of your dreams, and a long, happy marriage!! Congratulations Jessica!!
  4. Welcome to the forum, Jen!! Spain sounds absolutely amazing!! Do you have any pictures of your location of choice?

We wanted to try every restaurant at least once, but on the last night, we skipped out on the asian influenced (I can't remember the name of it!) to go back to the Portofino.

  7. Great review!! I agree, the pictures just don't do it justice!! Did you have a favourite restaurant to visit??

If I make a 12x12 book, I format my pages to be 12x12, understanding that a little of the edges is going to get cut off. If it's a full bleed, I just make the picture go off the page a little. If it's a bordered page, I make sure I have at least 1/2 inch all the way around, an inch is preferable. Does that help at all? I'd have to dig a little to find out if the measurements you're talking about are correct, and I think the way I do it is a little easier... Just make sure you email Chris and ask for your full-bleed pages if you don't have a pro account. Thank you!!! So, doing the full bleeds, you'd just have the image run off the page and NOT extend the measurements?? It seems when I upload this to SharedInk, it doesn't recognize the extended measurements anyways...
  9. Part Two to this question... when I upload my full-bleed pictures to SharedInk, the info next to the picture says this: Image Information Dimensions: 2400 x 1800 Resolution: 8.00" x 6.00" @ 300 dpi Type: JPG Image Size: 3.62 MB How do I get it to the extended dimensions to allow for a full-bleed? Or am I completely misunderstanding something??
  10. Haha, tease indeed!!! Congratulations Toby! I can't wait to hear all about it (...in more detail!! ).

  12. Frames! The black frames (rather than the green) adds more contrast and really makes the pictures pop. I vote for the black frames!
  13. HELP!! I feel so slow! lol. I'm having a lot of fun creating my engagement album with lumapix, but I've bumped into a problem. Some of my pages will have full-bleed and some will have the border. I e-mailed Chris about it, and he pretty much gave me all the same info as Jess posted. But, I just want to make sure I understand everything before I submit my album. If I want full bleed, I format to these additional measurements: TOP: 0.125" BOTTOM: 0.125" FACE (OUTSIDE EDGE): 0.125" SPINE (INSIDE EDGE): 0.25" But if I want borders, I just keep them at 8x6?? Is that right? It makes [some] sense to me, but I just want to make sure so I'm not disappointed when I get the books back!
  14. They look great! I love your red shoes in the last ones! (lol..typical girl comment!!) #38 is a great shot, it's got a nice sort of feeling to it. Very natural.

  16. Great review, Jilly!!! I have to admit, I laughed pretty hard when I read about your airport experience. lol, I love that you had scoped out the guy with the gun, good thinking! That sucks that you had so many issues with Claudia, but at the end of it you looked amazing, and so did everything else! I agree, your daughter's hair looks very nice; she looks beautiful. Please try to figure out how to show us that video! I'd love to see it! I have to ask; now that you've seen your video, do you think paying for a videographer is worth it?? I know a lot do, but I'm not sure... and coming from someone who didn't even KNOW they were going to receive one, I'd like to know what your thoughts are. Again, great review, thanks for posting it. Even though I'm not a Cancun bride, it's still nice to hear your story! Welcome back, we sure missed you around here.
  17. Heidi, I love your responses. I love your allergy line, that's the best ever, I wish I did that now! Isn't it a blast to get these in the mail??

  22. I never would have thought of putting everything into one room either... except if it were me, I'd unpack the bare minimum and then just close the door to that room and hope the mess takes care of itself...
  23. Haha, wow this thread is awesome. I seriously did not expect to laugh so hard. Tami, you've got some really interesting advise there! rofl
