  1. I'd like to second all of Anny's questions. Did you use a special program to format your invitations, or just Word? Did you go off of another template, or did you design the arrangement yourself? I really thought they were done professionally when I first saw the pictures... I was gonna tell you that you got your moneys worth!! GREAT work!
  2. I recently purchased one at Michaels... they had a lot to choose from too.
  3. Wow, April 27th?! Well, congratulations and welcome to the forum! I'm sorry, where is Azul? I guess you done pretty much all of your planning? We'd love to see pictures of everything!
  4. Lindsay, those look great! You look so wonderful. I love the colours - everything looks fabulous... I really love how the bouquets look too!

I guess in my mind when I think of dressing up like Cinderella or Snow White I think of Mickey and Minnie in the wedding party too... a little too out there for me! Sorry - I didn't mean to make it look like I was making fun of you.

That'd be a great alternative to a guestbook. Crap, now I HAVE TO get one!!!
  7. I showed this to Aaron and he said it'd be a good idea for a tatoo (I've always wanted one, but I want something that actually means something). It's beautiful, and tells a story. I guess I'd have to see how it turned out before deciding if I'd look good as a tatoo.... but I never though of it until he mention it!

  9. I don't think I would do it either... I want to look like me on my day. Still, it is a neat idea. I knew someone who did that for her grad/prom, she had the blue dress and gloves to look like Cinderella... grad is different than wedding tho!
  10. Oooh, I know... my wedding just got 6 months closer in 24 hours time! Who can complain about that?! Ya, we thought if Aaron tried to get a job and then took three weeks off for our wedding his new boss might not be impressed, so we wanted it to be as close to his grad as possible.
  11. Ooh, Melissa I like that... having the BMs spend the night. I'm sure we'd all act like 13 year old girls at a slumber party with all of the excitement though!!
  12. Hey Susan, Welcome to the forum! I like the blue colours too... I think Christa (A10CALGAL) is using Aqua, which looks amazing - it's a nice tropical, yet not dominating colour. I really like it, but I'm not very good with colours either... so maybe you should just ignore this message! lol Anyways, Welcome!
  13. haha, I have a feeling this will be THE MOST popular thread!!!
  14. ooh, that abbreviations page is good! I never knew what IMO stood for!! Yay, thanks! lol
  15. Ooh, I like the idea of a sand castle one for a wedding cake!! Those are really neat. I like seeing the end result of the competitions they have on the food network - sometimes they make amazing designs.

There is so much stress involved in planning a wedding, to add the chance of really bad weather just seems like you're asking for trouble. Would something bad happen? Chances are probably not too bad- but who knows? Can you imagine bringing your guests down to Cabo for a hurricane? We were pretty scared and nothing even happened- it just looked scary because of the dark sky, the HUGE waves, the way the hotels and everyone was bracing for the hurricane. You can do whatever you want- it's your wedding, but in my opinion I would totally go for an earlier or later date. If your family doesn't like the heat, maybe Cabo isn't the place to go- it's always hot! Except when we were just down there in Feb- it was 70's and breezy, very nice! I hope I didn't upset you, I'm just being honest and sharing my opinion. You didn't upset me... I'm thankful for your opinion! Ya, I just don't want to go to Cabo when its at it hottest and the days are at their longest! I actually didn't realize hurricanes impacted that side of Mexico so much, I thought they were pretty much in the clear (with the occasional windy and really rainy days). Poor, naive Courtney!! It also never occurred to me that Florida (which is where we're honeymooning) is probably not the best place during hurricane season!! September is now out of the question!

  18. That is so beautiful!! Thats so neat that basically every line tells your story. If possible, could you have it blown up and framed for your wall? What are the two little loopy squiggles on the side? What part do they mean? Is it possible to get contact info - I really love it!!!
  19. Hey Marla! Welcome to the forum. I too am a Cabo bride (sorry! lol). When the week starts up, and everyone goes back to work you'll start getting tons of replies! Everyone is so helpful, and great listeners for stress relief!!
  20. Aimee... I'm pretty sure I'm going to get Juan too, his work is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! It's just working him into the budget that might be the tough part... in my mind it's well worth it! From what I see, you won't be disappointed. Congrats on your step closer!!
  21. I don't think I could move it to June or July... my family is the kind of family that has the windows open during winter because they still think its too hot!! We originally planned for November, so I guess we could go back to that... I don't want to move it FARTHER away though!! I'm not too concerned about hurricane season since Cabo isn't on the Caribbean side. It would really suck if it rained... but.... arg. Back to the drawing board I guess!
  22. Well, we're choosing Cabo because everyone on this forum pretty much convinced me of it - what a great place!! Plus, we can go there during hurricane season without checking weather warnings every day! I also fell in complete love with the Dreams gazebo.
  23. Sarah - that looks GREAT! It's so easy to follow too. Do you really have 14 people who have confirmed already?! I actually really like this idea... I guess the only problem is the people in my family who don't have computers/internet (yes, we have them!) This idea is great because most people will find it much easier to reply since its onyl a few clicks and they're done... they don't have to worry about chatting on the phone for long periods of time, or running to the post office. Between the message in the bottles, a copycat version of Jessalyn's or an easy but nice budget saver... it's gonna take me a long time to decide!! Nice work, Sarah!
  24. Ya, I like the notepads... I kind of like the stickers too, but I can't imagine they'd be too practical. Lol, Christine - I've made about 10 versions of myself with different hairstyles and outfits!! It's fun to make myself look that good!!
  25. When you sent them, did the website send you a confirmation with a link? I've never sent from e-vite before, but most tend to do this. just post the link! If not... then I don't know! lol
