When I was on a cruise last year I saw a wedding that docked at St. Thomas. I love that idea. So, do you have the ceremony at a special location in Cozumel, and then the reception on the ship? What cruise line are you taking?

Ya, I've heard of the Pirates Night too - it sounds like an awesome idea. Are you thinking more of an activity than something that is offered at the resort?

I was actually there when I was on a cruise, so we were only there for a few hours, but in those few hours I completely fell in love. Everyone there was so friendly, and I felt safe to go off the beaten path without having someone mug me! It was really clean, and really nice. Again though - we were only there for a few hours, so I'm probably not the best person to ask since I only saw bits and pieces. At that point I wasn't engaged yet, but I knew I was going to be soon so I kept every location we visited on that cruise (incl. St. Lucia, Grenada and 3 or 4 other locations) and St. Thomas was my favourite. As for hotels, I was looking at the Wyndham when I was thinking of booking because I know they don't have very many AI resorts there. That's about when I found this forum and changed my mind to Mexico though.. so I don't know too much more. Where are you staying? Anyways, I did do some research before I switched locations, so if you have any questions (even though your wedding is sooo close! ), just let me know - I couldn't bring myself to delete my notes!!

lol - hmm, maybe I should have re-thought my location?! Lol, nah I'm actually happy with Mexico... but I definately want to see your wedding pictures (in only TWO months, woohoo!) when you get back. I loved St. Thomas when I was there last year - what a great place for a wedding! ** As a side note... I think you're probably the best "noob" I've ever seen! You just started today and you dove right into this forum. I saw you've made a few other posts, you're really helpful and freindly... it's definately awesome to have people like you join the forum!

Hey LeShay, do you know what kind of a resort you're looking at? AI? Will there be kids at the wedding? Have you narrowed it down to a few certain resorts? Try to figure out what specific features that different resorts offer (eg adults only), and it'll help to narrow it down from there!

You definately can swm there - like I said, I was there just last week. They have flagged areas for swimming (green means safe, yellow cautionary, red no-go zone)... and the GIANT sand bags makes it a little bit of a bummer to swim... but you still can!

I love the way the tan linen suits look, but Aarons not thrilled about the idea. I think the khakis and white (or w/e colour) shirt looks good too though. I think rules can be easily bent in a DW, might as well have fun with it!!

Ya, Fuller Edge jumped out at me. I just e-mailed them. I just got a quote back from someone else - $325 for the first hour $150 every hour after that, she hasn't told me how many prints are included. Is that a lot?

Aaron and I are trying to find a photographer to do "on location photography" within the next few weeks near our home. We have SOOOO many pictures of us posing and smiling and its boring, so we've decided to hire someone for candid photos. I noticed some of you have done this (and we also have some photographers on the forum). I was wondering what you can tell me about this - I honestly have no idea what to expect. If you don't mind sharing how much I should expect to pay - what is included (photos etc), and anything else you can tell me. Thanks

Ya, I love #3 too - I also love the punch of colour in #6. I love the big, vibrant, colourful flowers - I have a feeling I will go into shock when I find out how much they actually cost!

Aww that's a really great story!! Its true, pictures are great... most times it goes so fast that pictures help you to remember!!! I'd have to agree with TammyM - Post those pictures!!

I kind of feel the same about the registry - they're paying enough to come see us get married. However, I think if they want to I'm ok with it (lol). We will probably either set up a savings account for a downpayment on a house, or else set something up with Tammy so they can make a 'donation' for our honeymoon. I don't think its something I'll ask for though..
