  1. I don't mind snow, but I HATE the cold!!
  2. OK #1: GORGEOUS HOUSE!! Where abouts in MTL are you? My poor parents! They are in Ottawa, and like you are getting the brunt of it. CRAZY winter! I'm at work today for some bizarre reason. REALLY! Who is going to come in and buy a car today?!
  3. To be honest we chose ocean blue because the wedding was free and the price was on target for what we wanted to pay, and what we thought our guests could afford
  4. Heidi, when gas was cheap everyone said dont' get electric because it WAS more expensive than gas. But now with the escalating price of gas and oil, they are all pretty much the same. Look for an electric house (!) with a fireplace maybe
  5. April 22!! (Not in Mexico though!) OMG it's creaping up so fast!!
  6. Electric isn't so bad. My apartment and townhouse were electric, and we just put the heat on low in the rooms we didn't go into often and it was cheaper than gas. We are paying a rediculous amount for our gas in our house right now, $160/month. BOOOOOOOO!
  7. FYI chiffon is notoriously hard to alter. I would stick with the salon. It's still a good price for a dress, especially a Sottaro.
  8. I'm also thinking of a very basic veil. But I ain't paying as much for my veil as my dress, so off to e-bay I go!
  9. So as with all bridal store pictures, don't mind my hair/makeup/face etc!! It's kind of hard to tell, but the dress is white, then a layer of really light blue, then a layer of white on top. I just need the bottom hemmed but otherwise a perfect fit! And there's something funky going on with the darts in front but Maria (the fabulous lady at Windsor Bridal) said the seamstress would be able to fix that. The original dress I tried on was dark blue with Green trim (I know.. let's not even go there!) So I had no idea how the dress would look in white. If anyone has not bought their dress yet, I would highly recommend looking at bridesmaid dresses. I paid $260 with taxes for this dress and you should have SEEN all the brides in the store ask about it when I had it on!!
  10. OK #1, where is his website so I can giggle too, and #2, Tammy PRETTY PLEASE post the recipe for Spam fried rice! LOL
  11. woof, Morgan's running away with this one!!
  12. Holy crap! It's like we are on this forum and within minutes of getting married y'all get pregnant! I'm hoping this works for us too, LOL
  13. Was this entering or leaving the states?

  17. LMAO that's funny that you said that because friends of ours can't come because they can't find someone to watch their kids for a week. They are 'envious' the we can put our 'kids' away. Heehehe
  18. JM, you can always play the lottery, that's how I won most of my points
  19. Exactly shannon, my dogs LOVE going to the kennel, heated floors, they are in the same room with unlimited access to an outside fenced 'pen', 2 walks a day... Also, $50 a day for the two of them :|

  21. ah, thanks. Probably why I missed it, it was over christmas. Oddly, my dogs love going to the kennel! It's at our vets, so they are well taken care of. It's just the bill I'm not looking forward to, but it's a cost of the wedding I suppose! Friends just don't have the same care for my animals. Like my pups dont' get human food AT ALL. When ever we have people over for some reason they think it's ok to give my dogs food? WTF? Then for 2 weeks after that I need to break them off begging. it's annoying!
