Hey Glenda, this morning I was reading all of the posts about the pashminas you picked up for everybody. I am wondering if you plan another visit to Chinatown in the near future? Would you mind getting back to me about this? Either post here or you can pm me under lizzy. Thanks so much!

Ann, for some reason I am unable to open the drama page I've been sailing along opening everything in site and must be short on points again!!! Melissa, as long as everything works out and you are physically and emotionally (well, are any of us, really?) allright, that's all that matters. Big sigh of relief! Is there an abbreviation for that?...BSOR? Lizzy -
Hey, what is happening with Melissa Green? I just saw a couple of quick notes in the shout area. Is she not having a destination wedding now? Is she OK? Lizzy

If you are a rose fan, Valentino's Rockin' Rose is very nice. Very soft and subtle. Lizzy

Some Non-Pro Teaser Pics from Sarah...
Lizzy replied to Sarah's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Sarah, you worked so hard, non-stop on every detail of this wedding. Everything you did looks like it paid off in spades! I'm glad you did your own makeup, it was lovely. I remember looking at your b-pictures, before I knew who you were, and thinking what a beautiful girl you were w/those gorgeous green eyes. Those eyes absolutely sparkled in your photos! I am so pleased that you and Jeff were so excited about it all. It looks like a fairytail wedding. Congratulations to you and Jeff and best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness Lizzy -
My Trash the Dress
Lizzy replied to CourtneyV's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Courtney, you are the headless woman, lol. Great shopping success, girlie-girl. Make sure you do get the bodice altered if it is too loose or you may be topless at some point in the trashing. Then it would be trashing an b-pictures all at the same time. Lord I am insane...please excuse my goofiness, I am soooo tired tonite. Where is the photo of the other dress, hmmmmm? Lizzy -
Hi, Maggie's mom here. I know she is interested in the IDEA of b-pictures, but I don't know if she can do it this summer or not. She and Tadd are up on the North Shore this weekend, so I will talk to her when they get back. For now, I am once again gathering information. Have you seen any of this photog's work? Is the quote per person or is it to be divided b/w the number of girls you have? Where do you get ideas on "outfits"? You know, maybe the Nicolet Island Inn would be a cool place to do it. Or maybe someone knows an artist who lives in the artist lofts downtown St. Paul. Well, thanks for allowing my research. I appreciate it. PS: Ann, how is the new house doing? I haven't seen you at the mall yet... next Saturday we are having Macy's national makeup artist come to do consultations and makeup. You should make an appointment for your wedding look. I hear she is quite a character and extremely talented. It might be kind of fun and I would love to meet you in person.?? Lizzy

Hi, I work at Macy's now for Estee Lauder. A fairly new approach for doing make-up consultations is very quick, like 10 minutes. We do foundation that is photo friendly, eyes w/one all over color and one accent color on the outer edge of the eye, liner and mascara. The lips are lined and then gloss or lipstick. Then we apply a little cheek color...blush or bronzer. It ia all done with a light hand. If the client asks for something more dramatic we take more time and really have a full consultation with her or him. The whole idea is to have the client look like herself w/ a little touch of polish for something special. Hope this helps. Oh, FYI, there is never a charge for this service. Lizzy

Welcome to you Danielle. The ladies and Jason and the other guys are a wealth of knowledge, so take advantage of them. You certainly are not alone, being w/out official engagement. I don't think it is ever too early to begin planning out all of the special things you want for your wedding. This forum is where you will find all of the information and guidance you will need. If we don't have an answer for your questions, someone will help you find it. Best wishes, and enjoy the forum! Lizzy

Sarah's misc pics and planning stuff- LOOONNNGGG!
Lizzy replied to Sarah's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Sarah, You should put nursing on the back burner for awhile. Open a wedding and event planning business, hire me to do your research (Maggie will be my reference), and have Tammy partner in w/you as the TA. Sound good? All kidding aside, you would be wonderful at it. I think you talked about this on another thread, but did you emboss the fan yourself? If so, what stencil or embossing plate did you use? Was it difficult? Relax kiddo, you have everything planned and have worked very hard. Enjoy the beauty of it all. Lizzy -
Site Visit
Lizzy replied to Lizzy's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Thanks, I think I should have gone too! I am so jealous. I want to be sun-drenched and warm and drinking fun drinks. Oh well, I'll just stay here and do my research and bug all of you guys! So, yesterday they went to Azul Beach, which they liked, but they wanted to be down further on the Yucatan. Then they had an appointment with Fairmont Mayakoba...I think she said this one was very expensive. Today they went to Ana Y Jose and loved it. After that they were going to Dreams Tulum and Esencia. I am hoping she will post her thoughts on all of them next week. Then she can tell you why she loved Ana Y Jose. Unfotunately, Maggie and Tadd both have terrible colds so I'm sure they aren't enjoying it as much as they could be, but I'm sure they will try to survive all of the sun, the heat, and did I mention the fun drinks? Thanks for your interest, that's nice of you! -
Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that Maggie and Tadd are in Riv. Maya as I type. They left MN yesterday morning and are visiting 5 Hotels and hoping to make their decision on which one for the wedding. They will be back Sunday night. If they pick one we can then get going on the STDs. YIPPEE!

You wanted me to let you know if I wanted you to try and put the ticker up. I chgd. the pw, but don't know how to send it to you. I certainly understand if you are too busy. You spent a great deal of time on it yesterday and I really appreciate it.

Hi Courtney. I sent you a pm last nite, but I used your first name cuz it wouldn't accept Ninny Bride. Did you get it? Lizzy

I was thinking about a King's cake too. They are so delicious and would be in keeping with your theme.

Did anyone make their own chair ties? If so, was it less expensive, including your valuable time, or was it a pina to do it? Lizzy

YIPPEE! This will make searching so much easier. Thank you!!

questions for site visits
Lizzy replied to Lizzy's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Accommodations & Site
Thanks Tammy. It might be the list I'm looking for, I don't know cuz once again, I don't have the points to open it. I need to figure out how to build up my points! I cannot keep getting donations from others. Maybe I should post all kinds of photos of my kids and grandbabies?! jk. Anyway, thanks Tammy for sending the list. -
Does anyone remember the thread that had a list of questions to ask at the site visits? I know there was one, but I cannot find it Help please!!! Thank you, Lizzy

What to expect during initial site visit
Lizzy replied to sandyroo's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Jenetta, do you still have a copy of the questions you asked at the venues when you went on your site visits last May? I would love it if you could post them. Maggie goes next Thursday and I am trying to round up some ideas for her to think about. You know, things she may not have even thought about. Thanks so much, Lizzy
