I am thinking about doing a very retro cage veil but am having a hard time finding pictures and getting info...anyone on here have one, used one, using one or know anything I would really appreciate it...

I would really like to know...I saw somewhere that the Grand Opening was scheduled for November-- but was hoping that perhaps it would be opening earlier without the flourish...it would be nice to have access to additional restaurants etc...hmmm...some day we might find out...lol
-
Online all it says is that it will open this winter I think, but i have read different stuff saying it will be open for my wedding (october 24) and others that said it wont. I am glad at least that if it is opening in Nov - all the exterior loud construction should be completed. It would be nice to have the addtional dining options etc. Since it will be brand new - although they list there night club as club pancho === isn;t that the one at Riu Palace?

Opinions Needed: Door Hangers
tob1kanobe replied to RAENJAY's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I love them...I dont think the tag is necessary. I totally want to do doorhangers but was unsure if cardstock would be heavy duty enough...will the hotel staff leave them on the doors? -
Help:What month is the best time to go to Italy
tob1kanobe replied to DreaW's topic in Honeymoon Talk
I was in Italy from the end of May through the end of June. All I know is most of the trip we were comfortable --- not too warm or cold (but I am from Florida) but our last stop was Milan at the end of June and it was horrible, pouring sweat disgusting... -
Does anyone know the details on this new Riu? Can you go to both the Santa Fe and the Palace if you are booked at the Palace? Also, when is it opening? I keep getting confused...thanks...
-
If anyone finds deals on them --- please post and I will do the same. Money is so tight but I want good OOT items (which I am also lumping in with wedding favors) and unfortunately I don't think the mortgage industry is gonna improve in Florida any time soon...BTW if anyone is in the buyers market, we are seeing a ton of foreclosures on amazing homes in SW FL.
-
I don;t know about other resorts, but the one thing I keep reading about Riu Cabo is that the cups at the pool are those tiny plastic ones (people say they hold only 4oz lol) and they all recommend bringing larger insulated cups and having Riu bartenders make your drink in your own cup...they will do this....I might add these to our OOT bags since our group likes to drink...don't know what the status is at other locations, but just wanted to toss this info out there....

Yeah...I did weight watchers before adn it really worked especially with the home weigh in...I actually weigh myself all week once I get started to monitor where I am at...I just need to get on the ball...yay!!! -

Alright ladies: I am expecting a round of applause....I went and got professionally measured and purchased my dress today.....yay!!!! I did it even though I hate the size...lol....yay!!!! so now I can officially post my dress, for the eight zillionth time one here!!!! -
I did WW before and loved it ...I am getting back on the wagon for the white dress --- i did alot of cooking light recipes...just plugged the numbers into the online calculator and had tons of yummy recipes at my fingertips (www.cookinglight.com). my only suggestion if you are used to flavorful food - cook all rice, couscous etc in low sodium ff chicken broth...and up the spices and herbs...this barely adds the points but ups the yumminess. I also tried to use salad plates for dinner to cut out the portion control issues...and i made cheater versions of my favorite foods...ie -- on weekends when I wanted to cheat , I would make oven baked fries with minimal olive oil, and top them with 2% shredded cheese, turkey bacon crumbles and ff ranch dressing...= cheater outback cheese fries...lol high points but WAY lower than cheating and eating 65pts at outback...

tob1kanobe replied to CourtneyV's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I am having a Bon Voyage (FI calls it the Adios) Party for about 100 people and only 20 are invited to Mexico. I really worried about the whole thing, but talked to my Dad and we decided that the people who are invited to the Bon Voyage have known me forever and love me and are excited, and that they know the reasoning behind all of it (mainly money) so they won't care. And people who do, that's their problem. We are going to sign the legal papers for our marriage at the Adios and having a Mexican theme - its a hard issue but ultimately the people who love you are gonna understand. -
My 2 cents... I want amazing pictures but we are on a tight budget -- we stretched it to 2000 so that I could have the photographer I wanted (I was photography major for awhile in college) but I personally am not looking to need pictures of my dark circles, nasty ratted out hair and half naked body so I am opting out for the "getting ready" pictures...for those of you on here who posted your pictures of the pregame -- seriously, what eye cream do you use, cuz I don't look like that without makeup... -- back to the $$, pictures are important, and I almost convinced myself whatever amount of money was acceptible as long as the pictures were great -- I mean think of the camera equipment, the time, the film, the development, photo paper, the darkroom fees, lenses --- whoa, hold on, then FI said "its all digital these days babe"...so I rationalized $500.00 an hour for artisitic ability is alot, but to me worth it, but i'm only shelling out for four hours...

I did wear it, but let me tell you I was so uncomfortable all day, I was afraid to bend down for fear of splitting the zipper! Just order the size you need, you'll lose weight you'll get it altered to fit you perfectly and you can cut the size tag out right when you get it, so you can "forget" what size it was! That is great advice on cutting out the tag -- and technically its not cheating since it will be altered and not technically that size anymore Quote: Originally Posted by Nini_Bride OMG, Toby that dress is AMAZING. I had the exact same worries - I wanted so badly to lose weight before my wedding (still do!) but thank god I ordered my correct size because truth be told I weigh the same as I did at my first try on! But the truth is that now as long as the dress fits me I'm happy! Go order it now! Or I'll order it for you! Ok, you can order my dress and pick my flowers and his suit...etc, etc...this is gonna be perfect..that's what I would dream of as my totally stress free planning -- let someone else do it....lmao...i am getting measured on friday and will starve until then..lol...and will order it friday at the latest...yay!!! thanks for the push girlies... -

Yeah, luckily my friend's mom is a seamstress and she is doing the alterations and my friend is upfront and to the point, she even said last night, "Toby, you are ordering the dress that is your size right now and I don't care if it ends up being a size 30, you are ordering the correct size" lol...she will strap me down with the tape measure if she has too...lmao -

I think my nervousness is that I don't want to order the fat girl size I have to right now --- i want to order the fabulously in shape girl size I will be come the wedding...lol...it's not as much fun to buy a fat girl dress...lol -
Here is a demetrios dress that you can't see online and only certain vendors will carry but it is amazing. It is made of the lightest material ever and literally floats --- it feels like you are wearing absolutely nothing but its still a full skirt etc. The bottom is a balloon hem and its awesome. IMO this would be an amazing Destination Wedding dress just because it is so amazingly light but you still get the ballgown wedding dress look...

I have to order my dress but I am super nervous --- stupid but true, and to make it worse, everyday I put off ordering it I am making things worse since it takes 4 months to get in and the wedding is 5.5 months away...argh...maybe tammy can withhold my forum viewing priviledges until I order it. lol. I think I am going to order it through Pearls Place online since the only bridal shops here who can get it are super new. Anyone order from Pearls Place? My friends have ordered from them and loved the results. Oooh and here is the picture of the dress, its on another thread but to reiterate it a million times cuz I personally look at it like 5 times a day....

They are pretty slow on getting back to you but I just harrass people until they get tired and do what I want...lol...I am having the basic package the cheapest one and adding things as I need them...Cancun said I couldnt have it because I am having a 20 person wedding but Cabo said I could...so I am going with Cabo's response and saving all my emails...Good Luck and let me know if you need any info...
