  1. poop...maybe I should email one of the florists and ask...maybe somewhere in the world they are still blooming - and of course will cost about a gazillion dollars...lol... thanks for the input - if anyone finds out for sure I would love to know.
  2. Does anyone know if you can get peonies in CAbo and if they are terribly expensive? I am looking for October - Bright Pink!!! Thanks girlies...
  3. I emailed adriana and asked about the lanterns and she kinda poo-poo'd it. She didint think there was a place for them and I do know there are fans hanging from the ceiling and there are sconces on the columns. I would email her and ask her if you are really interested in doing it.
  4. Everything sounds so amazing and makes me sooo excited to be getting married at Riu - questions ---- what package did you purchase? Did you get liquor drinks with dinner besides the bottles that you specifically requested and did you have to pay per person per hour for the liquor? How was your cake? Did you have to pay extra for the flowers on it? Ummm I think that is all for now...lol.. oooh - if you have any extra pictures of the mexican terrace I wouldn't be terribly sad if you posted them...lol...
  5. Did you happen to find anymore pictures of the mexican terrace? SOrry for being a pain...lol....
  6. thanks...yeah i am hoping it all comes together...
  7. thanks for the info tammy - our concern with marquis ( i pm'd karla) is that it is super quiet and chill - and while we want that sometimes, we also want to be close to cabo and have some party things to do(we really arent the type to stay in or anything)...the pics of estancia look awesome and it has great reviews on trip advisor etc. which is why we are considering it. the location and type of rooms seem ideal.
  8. Villa La Estancia - - - Has anyone stayed here and have any info? It looks amazing and its close to cabo - any info would be wonderful...trying to pic a honeymoon spot.

Sarah you rock - thanks for answering all of our millions of questions...
  10. I like number 2 - i think it looks amazing and you are lucky enough to look great in a fitted sheath dress - but I also love sexy wedding dresses so that pushes my opinion. I think they both look great and you couldnt go wrong but I like 2 better.
  11. How did the ipod and speakers work out? Did you feel like everything was well orchestrated and was it loud enough? Did you have to pay extra for the beach wedding and the arch? Hmmm I am sure I have more questions but they aren;t popping up just yet. Thanks in advance for all the insight and I am soooo glad to hear that everything went so well.
  12. Sarah: Did you happen to get any pictures of the Mexican terrace that show the layout and the views? Also, in the courtyard, does it open up to the lobby and do you know if its stuffy?
  13. I was just like you and trying to decide between the two without ever seeing them. What our decision came down to was this - we are party people and whether or not Riu is a big party place (I have heard both ends of it on all the travel forums and site reviews etc) we would be closer to town and that was important for my FI. Both have good and bad reviews of the rooms, the food, the service etc. I loved the gazebo at Dreams but at Riu you can have the rocks in the ocean behind you. Riu is overwhelmingly big - but its personality fits our group. Basically I would read a ton on tripadvisor, expedia, etc (take in to consideration that most people post if they hate it - more often than if they loved it) look at where you will be able to married, and think about the services that are important to you. Riu does not have 24 hour room service - Dreams does. Dreams mellows out at 10-11pm - Riu doesnt. Things like that helped us make our decisions. (On a side note - the menu options for your reception are much bigger and more glamorous at Dreams - the Dreams girls can vouch for that. and it is cheaper for a better reception from what I can tell.)
  14. Sarah...amazing review...it all sounds so wonderful ---I of course have additional questions: The gazebo on the side by the Mexican Restaurant - is that the one you opted not to use? How was the privacy on the Mexican Terrace? Did it feel seperate from the restaurant? Were your guests able to order liquor drinks at the reception or just beer, wine, champagne & shots? Did you hire the Mariachi through Riu? We were thinking about hiring them for our ceremony but they are super expensive - and once you figure bringing in outside group will I have to pay the $70 per person cuz wowsers will that make it not affordable. Were you able to request your room locations once you got there or did they just stick the guests wherever they wanted? Ummmm....I think that is all for now but I will probably have more later... Thank you thank you being our first and giving such an awesome review...YAY!!!! you're married!!!!!!

  17. I love to latin dance and I told FI when we met that I would never marry a man who couldnt dance with me --- so for his birthday on June 5th he is getting dancing lessons. There is nothing sexier in my opinion than dancing salsa with my man...lol..you'll love it -- it's such a fun thing to do together and then you can use it the rest of your lives...

Have you decided if you like full or partial face veil? Have you considered some great vintage/antique shops if there are any around you, that is where I picked up mine. Your dress is so lounge singer, vavavavoom!!!! Its beautiful, the veil will look perfect, good luck with your search. Kelly~ ummm--- hair is still in the decision phase...definitely half up or side pony --- but I know I want to have some poof at the top --- nothing sleek head gripping --- more full and sexy...
  23. Yeah my dress has always reminded me of a 1950's lounge singer type thing... I just wish there were more pictures of cage veils...there are soooo few online and its so frustrating...
  24. that is totally what I am thinking but I Am not sure yet if i want it to only cover my eyes or where I would want it to end...then part of me thinks it looks like bagging they put around produce in the grocery store and I start thinking I dont want to do it...lol...what is a rockabilly site?
