This is an old post, but I stayed at the Playa Maroma at New Year's and it wasn't my favorite resort at the RM. If this is of any interest to anyone, PM me and I'll tell you my complaints.

My girlfriend got married in the jungle location. It seemed very removed from the rest of the guests, unlike the beach location. Although, it was hotter than a two-dollar pistol with no breeze.

Well, you know I got mine online. I wouldn't really recommend getting one from like China that's made there or anything. But I did seriously consider buying one of those Pronovias (the 2005s) that they sell for on the cheap that have never been worn. I'll look up the store for you.

No, girl, I am TOTALLY crazy. But I needed something casual for the at home ceremony, something light for the reception dinner here and in Mexico, then the ugly Chinese dress, and then the make-up-for-the-ugly-Chinese-dress, and the $26 dress. So it's not as crazy as it seems, although I am such a non-frivolous person and this is so outside my realm of understanding, it's not even funny. Can we still be weimloving, michaelbwearing, toomanydresshaving BDW sisters?

Tammy- Your sig pic is AWESOME. Can't wait to see more. And from what I can see, your hair looks beautiful. You're a girl after my own heart rescuing three dogs. I work closely with a rescue group here in Texas, too. What a beautiful person you are!

Oh, and I totally should take a pic with all five hanging in the window. That would be hilarious. Also funny is the idea to have "wardrobe changes" throughout the ceremony and thereafter.

I have digital phone, so it's only 10 cents a minute. But I've called twice and gotten her voicemail twice. I just emailed the manager telling him how I'm trying to get ahold of her, and I think he'll get her on it. By the way, not to send you to another forum or anything, but locogringo.com has a bunch of different trip reports and good things to say about Dreams Tulum.

Ross Dress for Less, where else? I actually also got a white dress for my at home ceremony, which is different from the white dress I got for my AHR. So, in reality, I have five wedding dresses. Of course, the $26 and the AHC one (which was only $15) I don't feel guilty about.

Best thing about that dress is that it was $26!

I have officially Lost My Mind. I saw this dress yesterday and thought it would be perfect for a TTD session. Three dresses. Not bad for someone who is so cheap they weren't even going to buy ONE.

Wow. I didn't know so many people wore Michael B. rings. The FH somehow found this ring from his jeweler and surprised me with it. I mean, can he have any better taste? I'm also stoked because I just found out I'm getting the band to go with it. Michael B. ladies, do strangers tell you how pretty your ring is? because they do that with me and I just eat it up. Usually, if it's a girl saying it (having been single for so long) I say, "Do you want to try it on?" I used to drive my girlfriends crazy trying on their e- and wedding rings.

Amy- I'm going to call her today. I emailed a few weeks ago and didn't get a reply. I know she's very busy, but I'm starting to stress because we haven't discussed details at all! I'll let you know what I find out. L

Oh, and of course my "something borrowed" is the traveling starfish.

I wanted the seamstress who was taking in my dress to embroider a blue horseshoe on the inside (I think I stole this idea from Jilly) because I LOVE horseshoes and it would be my lucky something blue, so I asked my mom to remind her, but the seamstress ran out of time. So, my mom, in her infinite wisdom, went out and bought some charms to sew on the inside of the dress. She bought a silver one that says "wish" which is her wish for a good life for me, a blue crown that says "princess" since that would be my something blue and I call my dog "princess," (so it would be like Lu was there with me) and a little silver horseshoe. I'm going to try to find one of my old charm bracelets and get one off of there for my something old. Maybe this has been discussed before, but I thought it was a really stellar idea.

Kash- I'm not going to say anything that hasn't been said before--you look awesome! That dress is beautiful. I love the lace dresses. I think I've seen that dress before and drooled over it. The FH is going to know he's marrying the prettiest girl around when he sees you!
