I had my reception in the Club Tower lobby, just inside from the terrace. No need to rent a dance floor. We had two dances inside (middle area between tables) and the rest out on the terrace. My best advice to look at pictures of previous weddings and make note. My pictures have one table configuration and SusanK has another of the indoor tower area setup. TA Jill has the long setup on the terrace. These are the things I worried too much about which I had NO reason to, they do this all the time! They are the experts! They will go over this with you when you get there. Claudia and Daniela do not have much time in their office to answer emails. So they focus on those coming up (and they will give you the best attention once you are about a month out) and trying to give people dates for their weddings. They spend their time running around for weddings AND any other special events. They have added a lot of info to the website though just this year. If you have questions and they don't answer, which if your wedding is far off they may not yet, post it here or send those of us that were married there a PM

So I guess you will have to make sure you have a USB adapter or card reader that will plug into their PCs. I can say that Dreams Cancun was free wireless if you have your own laptop. There was a fee to use their PCs after the short free time they gave you. I think it might have been 15 minutes... don't quote me on that... and things may be different from Dreams to Dreams resort. You are getting married so soon Erica!

Thanks ladies and thanks to Maura for sending it out for me. I am glad people are finding it useful as I worked on the darn thing for months! I have been so busy I cannot get on much during the day. I hope to be back to 'normal' very soon and back on here like I used to be. If anyone has any other questions about it just PM me.

Hey Jenn! Looks like they changed their site since I had my stuff made. The first picture flygirl posted was the one we used for our STD: (Their site used to be cancun.info) Cancun.travel | Welcome to Cancún Here is where the pictures are now: Cancún Foto Galeria - OVC

I think Jill went to the other side over by the lighthouse for some of their pictures. Quote: Originally Posted by vtello We are getting married at 4 in Nov also.... Past brides....can we leave the doors open so we can hear it and set up outside? I'm so clueless to all this stuff!!! Thanks for your help. We had no readings, no sand ceremony, just hand ceremony. Garter and bouquet toss were done about 3/4 way through the reception. We had the cocktail hr on the terrace, dinner inside in the club tower terrace and dancing back outside. There was a speaker outside and one inside. Doors were open. Worked out great. Quote: Originally Posted by ~Andie~ So...I have a very general question about wedding colors. Then I thought we could have a romantic/classy wedding. Ok...the colors I chose are Black, White, Accents of Hot Pink and Silver. Is this too scary?? Also, I was a little nervous about having black dresses for photos, if it happened to get a little dark. Any input?? Or do you think this combo will work?? I decided on deep orange dresses for the contrast of the blue ocean and green grass... this coming from someone that dresses in mostly black and neutrals, (some greens and oranges). So my advice, choose a colour you like. Sounds like hot pink will *pop*!

Mexican goodies for OOT
PaulaV replied to DJsbride's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
One of my BMs bought the goodies for me in Mexico City buy I told her what to buy, so I don't know what Wal-Mart has there. Go to Search, Advanced Search, PaulaV on the right box and select dropdown for posts started by me, then select the sub-forum for registries, something and OOT bags. Hope that helps. -
Mexican goodies for OOT
PaulaV replied to DJsbride's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
We had Mexican candy (glorias, pulparindo and obleas), gum, totis (like chips), peanuts (cacahuate japones). I have a picture somewhere in the OOT bags section, my search is running slow right now so I can't post it. -
Oh my gooddness Ednita! Que paso?! Sounds serious! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I haven't been on much this month, so I don't think I should vote, but these are some of my favourite posters... so it would be very hard for sure! Good luck chicas!

Have a fun and safe trip to Barbados Shelley! -
Hey Jenn! I got my high res photos from Cancuninfo.com They are too big for me to email to you. They just ask that you mention their website as a credit to the photos you use. I have extra postcards, but I think they have our info on the back. I have to check. They came out just okay from VistaPrint eventhough I use the High res pics.

You are gorgeous Heidi! Reggie you look so handsome too! My favourite with a black and white with Heidi laughing. Robin did a great job with the photography.

Dreams Cancun Contract Options

And yes, you can get a chocolate cake. We paid for the Dreams Ultimate Pkg. Which included the Gold menu. We substituted some items from the Silver menu as well. My experience was a little different from Jill's since we had the buffet and not a plated dinner. We had 41 people and 3 kids Gold Buffet Menu: 1 soup, 3 salads, 3 entree, 2 dessert SOPA Tortilla Soup (silver menu) ENSALADA Caribbean Mixed Greens (silver menu) Caesar Salad (silver menu) Dreams Salad ENTREMES Surf and Turf of the House Mixed Fajitas (silver menu) Filet of Grouper DESSERT Churros and Cream (silver menu) Pineapple cheescake (we changed to this once we met with Claudia) I had last year's pricing for my wedding in Feb of this year, so I am sure it is different now. People raved about the cocktail hour food. We had mostly Mexican appetizers. Cannot remember what else, but people loved the chicken fingers too, not sure what they were like since we missed cocktail hour since we were having pictures taken. I ran by and grabbed a quesadilla which was yummy. Since I am Mexican, the Mexican food selections were very important to me. I must say it was delicious! Oh almost forgot. Our cake was half vanilla, half chocolate. I ordered it for 20 people, eventhough we had 41. It was more then enough and I think much was wasted because people had the dessert and were outside dancing when they served much of it. I wanted a layered cake though, seemed more wedding-like to me. -
Good 'ol Mexican man that Jose! Que divino!

I have not been on for a while, work is keeping me very busy during the day I tried th back transfer several times and to a couple of accounts they gave me, with no success, but as Jill said, hers went through, but was a PITA. I did a deposit with a cc, but it's not their preferred method and had to go around and around to get their billing dept to get it, but it worked. Once there, we paid with a cc when we checked out of the hotel, no problem at all. Quote: Originally Posted by Ana Cerda Girls, it was extremely windy at the gazebo area. I am originally from Dominican Republic and we want Dominican cake. We heard their cake is not that great. Very very windy... you can see from my pictures my dad ended up holding my veil behind his back as we walked down the aisle and I was laughing so hard! I am sure your cake will be delicious! I brought a piece of ours back from Dreams, not sure if it will be edible come Feb 09. Congrats on booking Claudia Rodriguez Ana! She took our pictures and she does excellent work and is a sweetheart. Quote: Originally Posted by Ana Cerda I just love it. The service is great!!! Thie service is just excellent!
