  1. Thank you all! You have definitely made me feel better about it. S0 I may have 6
  2. I have 5 total BMs I would like in the wedding. My FI has 2... Two of the BMs are my sisters. One is BF from here. One is BF from Mex. The last is another very close friend from Mex and I was the MOH in her wedding. I would have my FI's sister, but that would make 6 to his 2. I have thought of having them all standing behind us so it is a long row, not on the sides. OR We each have two standing on each side, (I would hate to choose), but have the 5 BMs wear the same colours to show they are part of the wedding party, all important people in my life, and still have them walk down the aisle. What would you do? Any creative suggestions?

That would save me from staring blankly into the fridge when I get home from work.
  4. I am going to make an artichoke pasta with cream sauce. I have not made it before, so we'll see if it turns out well.
  5. Are you numbering your tables, naming them, or what other ideas have you come up with for your reception tables? I don't have any good ideas so far. I had thought of just going placing something on the table with 'Uno', 'Dos, 'Tres'...
  6. And we are lucky to have you both on this forum!
  7. Uh-oh, what do you mean Matt? Is there something specific we should be asking hotels on their outside vendor photography policies? The hotels I have asked so far have said they allow for outside photographers. I see you and Sol have decided on two wedding dates and locations! How exciting!!!
  8. Thanks Maria!!! I don't know how I am going to get any work done today! I may be multi-tasking just a bit ... I will blame you!
  9. OKay I got carried away looking through the clip art and have so many ideas in my head now!!! Thanks to Maria! Your directions were perfect! I didn't know you could create something nice without good graphics software. This is not very beachy, but I like the colours: Needs a some refining, text needs to be bolder, but I have to go to bed now! Thanks again Maria!
  10. Nice! Didn't know such a thing existed. Kinda like when you flip through that shopping magazine on airplanes... you are right, what will they think of next... PS: Good luck on the job hunt!
  11. I agree, DHL is most reliable... but it may be quite expensive to send a box. I mailed my dad a card to Guadalajara Mex through the USPS using their Global Priority mail - 4-6 days...it has been almost 3 weeks and he has not received it.
  12. I was the MOH for a friend in Mexico and I packed a suitcase FULL of goodies for her bridal shower/bachelorette party. I got the green light on my way into Mexico City, which I don't remember at the Cancun airport. I was planning on telling them they were gifts for a party, which was obvious. It should not be an issue.
  13. That is a great tip! I have a cc that earns airline milage. I charge everything and pay it off every month. Since I have had it, I have taken 3 trips to Mexico and now have enough for 4 more trips. We plan to use them for our wedding trip!
  14. I did! It has excellent information! I have added notes here and there though from things I have learned from this forum I think my favourite part was the packing list in the back for each bag and how to pack your wedding gown - Made me feel like we are ready to go to our DW!
  15. I will go to the tanning salon probably about a month before our wedding. We are planning on a Feb08 wedding right now and will be pasty white from the Ohio winter. I know it is bad for me, but bottled bronzers look horrid on my skin and from the reviews on the spray type, I will not be trying those. I am about the whitest Mexican chica you will ever meet!
  16. Well that made me tear up! I say do it! It is a great idea.
  17. For those of you having OOT bags, are you also having wedding favours on the tables at your reception or just adding them to the bags?
  18. Good news! (Hopefully won't jinx us) We got two offers today on our old house that we are trying to sell! (Mentioned in original post). I just accepted one of the offers. Cross you fingers for us that all goes well ... then we can put more $$ towards our wedding fund!
  19. That is great information Sol, gracias. That gazebo is one of my choices.
  20. Yes, yes and yes. But they will get over it because it's our wedding and what we have chosen to do. We don't want to look back and regret not having it where we really want because of a couple of people telling me we are not thinking of the family's financial situation... I have even offered to pay for some of them! Truth is, all but a handful would have to travel if we had it here in Ohio. I wouldn't be happy having it here. About half will be coming from Mexico City, the rest in the US. So we are going to continue planning, we'll see how it goes. If we do have it in Feb08, they will have plenty of time to save. I know there are several people on the board that have had to deal with this as well. Good luck, we are here for you!
