Since Dreams Cancun is surrounded by turquoise water and the walk up to the gazebo is surrounded by green grass, I wanted to give a pop of colour. I am trying to find dresses with a sleek modern design. I am going to a place on Thursday evening which might have some. I think I will have to find table runners or I can make something with that colour for the tables. I think I am going to do the drowned flower idea in square vases. I want mango callas, but that may be too much orange with the bm dresses and my flowers. (Suggestions?!) My original idea was to have these colours with just a pop of orange: Sorry for hijacking this thread!
  2. Wow! I really hope one of your leads comes through soon so you can leave that place.

That's exactly the colour of orange I want in my wedding! I am having a hard time finding items in that shade. (Looking for bm dresses now).
  4. Hmmm... I didn't think about the smelling bit. I was going to buy some from here just for the table with out guest book: White Finger Starfish
  5. How terribly exciting!!!! I am so happy for you two! Cannot wait to hear all the little details! Okay, there are some you can leave out... but just 'those'!
  6. Oh Tammy... you made it to 4999 posts before you left the States!
  7. Yeah, I have too many wedding related folders on my home pc. Sunday I was trying to go through them ... there were some I had no idea why I bookmarked them, but then I got further into those sites and didn't end up organizing more than three of the folders! Aghhhhhhhhhhh!

If you get around to creating it and don't have the ability to convert it to an acrobat pdf file, you can send it to me and I can do that for you.
  9. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your engagement! What have you done so far? Where do you want to get married? Do you have a date in mind? I am sure you will find tons of useful information here!
  10. Oh, I didn't mention that my FI wanted Ohio State STDs... I told him we are not getting married in Ohio, nor is it during football season... (Neither one of us went there, but he's a huge fan since we live in Columbus). So I told him I would find OSU stamps. I just ordered them from stamps.com. Like zazzle.com you can upload your own image, but they already had collegiate stamps, so it made it easy.

  12. #2 is my vote, but you look beautiful in both. Who are the designers?
  13. Hey Susan, After reading Amy's recent review about not wearing a veil because it was windy at the Dreams Cancun gazebo, I wondered what I would do because I do want to wear a veil... I just came across this little tidbit: Prevent Fly-aways Secure tiny weights to your veil to prevent it from blowing in the breeze. Fishing weights are a great option because of their small size and you can spray-paint them to match your attire. So I think I will try that and maybe remove them for pictures so it can blow around.
  14. Congratulations Jessica and welcome back! Maybe they are going to develop the pics and send them to you...

Daniella even brought me an extra lily to put in my hair! Sorry, I dont have any close-up pictures of the cake (still waiting for pics from guests). I am glad to hear that! My FI wants a chocolate cake... and the more chocolate the better I am sure it was beautiful!
  16. Oh Amy! Congratulations! Your wedding looked wonderful! You were a beautiful bride! I am glad you had a chance to share your wedding details with us as I am a Dreams Cancun bride too. How was the cake? Did you get a picture? Good luck with your move!
  17. They are just beautiful! The picture of the traveling starfish is perfect! As always, nice job Juan Carlos!

  19. I made my own postcard using an aerial foto of the resort in Cancun and having them printed at vistaprint.com Good luck!
