  1. I chose the blue and green. For some reason I thought you would have chosen a beachier motif I love paisley myself.
  2. Ooooh! Nice pick! We were there in Feb and it is beautiful. Do you know where you are having the dinner? Are you also having a cocktail reception? The waterfall fountains are cool!

I did a few for another poster as well, I still need to tweak them and send them back to her. I may try to put something together after I am done with my own wedding
  4. Ugh, that is terrible Ann. It's nice that you are both together, but sadly missing some fun stuff at home. I had this experience last week on USAir with whom I have a ton of miles. I was planning on using some of those miles to fly to Mexico for our wedding. I found out when I got back that this happened to another friend of mine as well - happened to and from Cancun. No crew, same as us. I hope you get out of there soon so you don't show up in the headlines!
  5. Countdown is on! Congratulations!
  6. I am so happy for you two! Oh, and look out for any men in 'tangerine speedos' !
  7. Welcome ! You will find excellent informtaion here!

We will pass...instead, we have purchased clear votives and will be using coral colored candles to line the table. A bit of color is needed because everything is white, except if you choose to have your chairs covered as well. (We have decided to do this as well) I found napkins in ocean turquoise which we personalized with a seashell monogram and the print is silver. We are going to lay these napkins on each of the plates for our guests. On the front the napkins state our names, wedding date, and Dreams Cancun. For the coctail reception, no decorations are provided. I recently found turquoise tea light candle holders in the shapes of various seashells that will be placed on the small circular tables. You can totally get away with nothing but I already purchased them so we're definitely using them. I can't believe that I'm getting married this month! I cannot wait to see how beautiful your wedding will be!!! Thanks for sharing the information about the table decor. You have my mind churning on this one now.

    Newly Engaged!

Welcome! There are several people from the forum that were just married in Cabo and more that are there right now! Congrats!
  11. Yooo Hooo Susan! Did you ask Claudia about having more that 50 people for dinner on the Terrace?
  12. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Congratulations! I *love* the ring!
  13. Very nice! You have been busy... When are you leaving for Cancun? Did you ship stuff already to the site? I think I am going to the D.F. in a month or so and want to take some wedding things with me and will have my friend ship it to Cancun closer to our wedding date.

  15. Found this in a magazine, think I will do this: "Follow the Turkish tradition of asking your bridesmaids to sign the soles of your shoes. At the end of the reception, the girl whose name has worn off the most will be the next to get married".

You could use them to seal the invite envelopes. That Heidi is a smart one... I gave in and bought photostamps from stamps.com since my FI wanted OSU stamps for the STDs. They were postcard stamps, officially licensed by the college, so I did it.
  17. My goodness Kelly! Unbelieveable! I am so sorry to hear you have to deal with this issue. I like Maria's paper sack idea. I am ready to start throwing some rocks!
  18. LOL Maria, you are so creative in that mind of yours!
  19. Jason - You win! Eventhough ... we don't know what your little surprise is for your FI since she might read it!
  20. I want to say it was through Apple, but I may be wrong. They were set up in the lobby of the Royal Solaris. The other tour we took was a snorkeling trip which was nice, down in Puerto Morelos, (cook out on the beach, very cool), but there is snorkeling at Dreams. Just slather on the sunscreen on those beach days before the wedding!
  21. Oooh yeah, I did the trip to Chitchen Itza. We paid for a tour, big airconditioned bus, took a long time, (they take you through little towns along the way) ... but well worth it! Of course, I want to visit as many pyramids as I can in this lifetime... but they really are impressive. We got a little tour, then we could walk around on our own. On the way back we stopped at a pretty nice restaurant area that had lunch set up and then you could change clothes and go swim in the 'cenote' - underground lake. It did take all day. I think you have a good plan of things to do! You know I am going to try to get every detail out of you when you get back
