Yes, that does make sense... I just wondered since I have that loooooooong chiffon on the back. I want simple with no edging, yes one layer. Looks like they have everything on Occansey!
  2. Thanks ladies!!! It is a relief since I had myself a deadline of 7 months before the wedding to have it ordered. I went in on Saturday, but could not decide between the two. The other had crinoline and a fairly large beaded train I was not crazy about. It had the V in front and in the back, but not as deep. Same designer. Ann, mlb36 & Court, thanks for your honesty... I knew I could count on you ladies. I think it is that it is hanging there, not poofed out, but without my hair being 'bigger' that is probably what it will do. Nothing. I am going to try and cancel it. I am looking at the site where Ann had hers made. I know it may be windy at the Dreams gazebo, but I do feel like I need a veil, it made me feel like a bride. Do I need a shorter one? I think we established it definitely should be lighter in colour.
  3. I bought my wedding dress today and I love it. It will be in November at the latest. After going to what felt like most of the shops in the city, I went back to the first store where I had it narrowed down to two dresses. This is the Augusta Jones Joile. It has a little piece of material with beads in the front that comes off if you want it to. I think it cuts me of strange so they will bring it up about a half inch, but it snaps in. I also ordered a veil. It is a Jennifer Leigh veil in mocha... which I liked in the store... but I don't like it in these pictures! It kinda clashes with the chiffon train piece! I had not given much thought to the veils, I just don't want anything very big. Help! What do you ladies think? I do cancel the veil and look around for another? I am not sure how I am going to do my hair, but if I have it up, it will be bunchier, not a tight bun like I did here.
  4. Yaaaay! You are back! Congratulations Nicole ~ you look beautiful! Sorry to hear about the bumps you had along the way, but sounds like it all turned out well. Look forward to more pictures and your review

They shouldn't be an issue on the beach right? The plugs are the same as they are in the US. "Warn your guests tho that this could still happen. Most of the credit card companies/banks automated systems will automatically decline a card when it's used in an irregular pattern--- for example, if a person hardly ever travels and then comes to Mexico for your wedding, the automated system with the cc company will decline the charges. Then the owner of the card has to call in and tell them it's ok before they release the hold on the card... Even when I've notified the bank/cc company in advance that I was leaving the country, they still decline my first charge until I prove it's me using the card." I had this happen to me. I call my cc company every time now.
  8. Welcome! Anny is there right now for her wedding on 7/7/07. I am sure she will bring back tons of pictures. What other details have you arranged so far?
  9. Sunglasses!!! My FI leaves them in his car usually, so he has to remember to bring them with him.
  10. I was so excited to find this song today. It always brings tears to my eyes. I like it in English and in this version is is also in Spanish: 'When you say nothing at all' - Ronan Keating & Paulina Rubio YouTube - Paulina Rubio & Ronan Keating "When You Say Nothing At all"
  11. Wishing you a wonderful wedding day in Tulum!
  12. I am sure you would look beautiful in that dress... buy it!

At least, my guests didn't - most of them were drinking mixed drinks and wine, not beer. If you have more beer drinkers than we did it would be more useful. Sarah, I just love your bags ... Mine will aspire to be as nice as yours were. Maybe for koozies or cups, since we are also going to a Dreams resort, we can add something like, "I survived Paula & Jeremy's wedding in Cancun Mexico" since they would probably just use them later as well.
  14. It will be about $1500. I go in on Thursday to pay the deposit. It is at the very first store I went to try on dresses. I narrowed it down to two there. Eventhough I really loved those two dresses I figured I needed to keep looking. I went to four other dress stores and there was one that was $410 that was pretty nice and one that was a completely different style that was $3600 (yikes!). The dress I am going to buy is the Augusta Jones Jolie. It is the one I compared all other dress to and I feel very comfortable and more me than any of the others I tried on. I totally intend to wear it again to run around the house and kick back with a beer
  15. Kelly ~ I am glad to hear it is working out and you can put that behind you now. Here's a big one for ya!
  16. This is great Christine. You have inspired me to create one as well. Here are some paper dolls and airplanes too: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...439601033.aspx
  17. I had never heard of doing this, but I went to a wedding in NY a couple of weeks ago and they offered champagne. The invite said 3pm, we got there 2:45, and drank champagne until right before 3:30 when they moved us into the area where the ceremony was to be held. The cocktail hour was pretty much a full meal! My goodness! Then all the meal courses were spread out through the events of the night, the dancing, the toasts... I liked how it paced the night, especially after eating so many appetizers!

I wouldn't waste shipping for one of us to send it to you....I would talk to them first...or do you have other dollar stores in an outlying town What she said Hey, how long are you staying at Dreams? I cannot remember if we overlap or not... I am confirmed to be there on 1/30.
