  5. How large is your party Rosean? We are thinking 40-50 people and they alloted 3 hours for my reception. Any thing over that is extra per hour for the staff. I had a contract she sent to me early on in the process and I have been asking her questions ever since. I don't know if she was updating the contract along the way. So I sent both her and Daniella an email early this week with items to specifically to update, to send me a new contract so I can send a deposit. After the discussions we were all having I think I will feel better about sending a dep soon.

  10. We were actually going to go there in Dec 2005, but due to the hurricane, we did not go, the resort did get hit. It was on the front cover of a thick best resorts magazine that year, after we had booked, so we knew it would be a nice place. Looked at it briefly for the wedding, I cannot remember what the issue was. It may have been that they didn't allow children or they didn't have wedding packages available. Sorry I am not much help, but I know we plan on stopping by there next Feb to see what we missed Good luck in your search!
  11. Haha! That's great! I think I also remember a version of this that had something about using movers to move and not enlisting your friends and a case of beer

Welcome! We have a couple of Seattle area ladies on here.
  13. Encourage them to go try that model on ... I have found they look very different on every person. I have all shapes, sizes and skin colours in my wedding. I am having a hard time pinning down the right colour, so once I get that, they can choose one of 2 or 3 styles that suit their bodies. Is that an option for you?
  14. I just saw the pictures! It is gorgeous Galit! I have a similar chiffon piece, but it flows from the waist.
  15. Don't mind anyone's opinions ... if you like it, buy it... My dress does not look on me like it did in on the model on the designer's website. My sister was unable to go with me and she said from the picture it looked like the dress Kate Hudson wore at the end in 'How to lose a guy in 10 Days'. As in, not wedding appropriate. Of course I value her opinion, but I realized her taste in weding dresses is different from mine - and it's MY wedding! And GEEZ, for that price... you are getting one heck of a deal. If it turns out you don't like it or find another one, I am sure someone will pay you every penny you spent on it for a Reem Acra.
  16. OMG Kate! I *love* your style! They are so cool! I didn't realize you were using a coral design... We had found one with coral that my FI actually liked! Can't wait to see the finished product!!!
  17. Oh and she added this too: The pillow book is like a coffee table book. It's 5x5, hardcover with a custom designed cover, dustjacket (with the same picture as the cover), and a little black slipbox with your name on it (or a little phrase.) The books are usually 20 - 30 pages long, depending on the design. It takes 4-6 weeks to publish the book, so all in all, about 8 weeks after you give me your selections. A disc of images is not included with the session, but can be purchased for $400. I don't know if it is too much or not. She is an excellent photographer from what I see in on her website.
  18. Good morning Lauren! Here is one quote I was given by a local photographer: Sessions are $400 ($350 with a wedding booking) and include $50 print credit. With a pillow book, the session is $700 (or $650 with a wedding booking.) Make up is included, as is a bit of hairstyling. I am going to meet her and see the 'pillowbook' she is talking about, where the pictures are taken, etc.
  19. Welcome! Go back to photobucket, find the picture, edit and resize - they give you a few options there.
