Her answers might reflect in her tip, lol! For the beach reception, we don't need the white flags, but they look nice. The lights under the tables definitely make it cozy. I don't think we need coloured napkins. We don't know yet if we will do it, need to calculate what it might be. I was surprised on the pricing for the votives and vases and they charge a setup fee if you bring your own. Oh well, I cannot worry too much. I did want to see the contract revised so we can get those things ironed out now. She did send me several emails today and 5 or 6 attachments Let us know how it goes
  2. I just received a revised contract. There were a few items missed... not surprised since we have had so many email exchanges. I didn't realize plain white organza was so much! All but the front two pillars is $255.
  3. Whooooo Hoooo! Welcome Jamie!
  4. Ha~! I have a most excellent photographer for my TTD, but I am not photogenic at all. You two are such beautiful people - inside and out and it shows. My FI does not like being the center of attention, so I think someone else will have to take you up on it. However, I have shown him your TTD pictures so he knows what he is in for
  5. I read a bio recently that I think had this dress as their dream dress, if not it's very similar... Okay, just looked it wasn't it... maybe that designer is in your area? Look all the way at the bottom: The Knot Message Boards She had a cool wedding. I just enjoyed reading the planning and the actual wedding. My favourite part was when her husband-to-be interrupts the officiant in the middle of the ceremony to ask, "What about the kiss?!? When's the kiss??": Bio

  7. I've said it in another thread, but these are incredible. Are you having a 6th child from this girl? I don't think anyone can top this TTD!

Can't get this wedding planning stuff out of my head. I feel like I keep asking the same questions over and over too. I know, it has consumed me! I think once I get past the BM dress bit I will be much better off. Ok Jen - you asked... So I wanted to go with orange for dresses. The walk up to the gazebo is lined with nice green grass, the water is turquoise in the background, gazebo is white. To add a pop of colour - orange. I wanted to pick a colour I would actually wear myself, so that would be green, turquoise, orange, burgundy. Not pastel colours. My dress is ivory, more on the yellowish side, so I need warm colour. All the oranges I am finding are too 'fall' like. Not beachy to me. My MOH and I have been everywhere in Columbus. When we find something online we like, they don't have it in the store, or not the right sizes online (ex: Nordstrom). So this is where my dream picked up. I have two BMs that are currently pregnant. One due end of Sept, the other mid-October. One has an idea what size she will be as it is her 3rd child, the other, her first child - no idea. In real life, the place where the dresses are I liked the best said the latest we should order is Sept 13th. We would get them 4 wks before we leave for Mexico and have time for alterations. Oh, did I mention two of the girls are in Mexico and I have to ship them to them and they can get them altered there? So I ordered them in my dream and they came back too small and green! ~So I yell, "Just buy orange dresses! I don't care what they look like, just buy orange dresses!" Ugh! This green really would be pretty on all of them, but I want a colour other than what is already in the surroundings. It shouldn't be this hard... and I haven't been procrastinating... This weekend, MUST decide ... this is it. I don't want to dream about it again. Aren't you glad you asked? Oh, here is the colour that is *currently* in the lead. A bit darker than I had in mind, but it is beautiful: Jim Hjelm Occasions Quote: Originally Posted by jilly76 so, does the pash idea and cash sound cheesy? Thanks for the ideas ladies, I do like the idea of giving her a small gift and cash.

It will be a lot more for the set up... lights under tables, flags, dance floor, but it looked wonderful... Do I have to decide soon? We had not planned to have anything in the sand...

Thanks for the suggestions. I usually do a search before I post. Everything is running together. Let's just leave it at I had dreams about BM dresses last night, so I had a restless night...

  13. Did you/will you tip your wedding coordinator or give them some sort of gift?

  15. I only get them about once a year and I just have to go to a dark quiet room. I had to ask my friend that gets them all the time. "The herb is feverfew, the medicine is maxalt. But with the feverfew I've been able to take care of them with excedrin migraine".
  16. Tammy (host) had a great welcome letter and list of events with Cabo activites somewhere. I am not a Cabo bride, but I stumbled upon it. Maybe do a search on welcome letters posted by 'host'. Sorry I am not much help.

  18. What a wonderful proposal! How sweet! I can't believe Leigh was in on it all along. So we will get to see great pictures of the proposal too! Congratulations once again. I can go to sleep now

  20. Yick, remodeling is not for me. The first house I bought I said I would change this or that, but the house wasn't old, so it really didn't need to be replaced (and didn't in 6 years -ha!) This house we built and we got everything we wanted. We watched them tile, geesh! They did it with such precision! Big job since most of the downstairs is tiled. I don't envy you my dear!
  21. I knew it!!! Congratulations Fill us in on your trip and how he proposed!
  22. Ack! This one is so hard! Each one of them brings something special to the forum.
  23. Yes, a long list this time. (Voting for my twin - she really deserves this one!)
