  1. The invitations are a formality at this point, as we think we are aware of all of those that will be able to make make the trip. I ordered the Envelopment pockets from a local woman that makes invitations. I designed all of the printed items, just gave her the files. She had them cut and printed. I assembled and pasted them all myself. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but I used metallic envy and white micah. I cut out some small vellum-like sheets to cover the invitation print, like in traditional invites, they are not affixed to the invite. Micah metallic envelope, I had to cut all the seals: Fonts are dark-dark brown and green: Response card is a postcard: This one is a little blurry. Spanish version is on the back side of the Travel & Accommodations insert: If I had to do it again, I would use something cheaper than Envelopments, they are expensive! For as much work as I did, I would do the printing and cutting myself (would have been much cheaper), but she did a nice job with the printing. I have this ability to jam every printer I touch, so I was glad not to have to deal with that piece of it. If you see any typos, please don't tell me! They are done! Hehe!
  2. A savings bond! Then maybe something small like a book. I know it's not exciting, but we did this for our niece and nephew every birthday, and they will appreiciate it when they are older.
  3. Have a wonderful wedding Monica! Is it tomorrow the 30th? I was looking at your ticker and profile, different than the calendar...
  4. I bought one at Franklin Covey. It was $19.95, but I get 20% off corp discount. It has a few slots for cc's or frequent flyer cards and is still compact. TJ Maxx had some as well that were $9, they had rhinestone things on the front.

  6. Excellent! I will be getting married there in Feb 08! I have found much better info from everyone here than emailing Claudia... I have two months and I am in crunch mode.... More of the OOT and misc. DIY stuff. The specifics with the WCs you can do up to the time you are at Dreams and meet with them. So I had a rough estimate of attendees about 10 months ahead of the wedding date so she could start on the contract. That contract is a work in progress until you get there and meet with her I think. I have a good idea (from BDW) about the general setup, menus, etc. that we want. I think a couple of weeks before the wedding you will have more consistent communications with them to figure out the details. So don't worry if they are not answering all your questions right now. They have several weddings there a week, so they are very busy I sent her a deposit about a month ago, but some ladies here did not until a few weeks before. So I would suggest let the holidays pass and then start planning those things you have control over You already got the two biggest things out of the way ~ location and date!
  7. Welcome back Brooke & Gen! The picture of you two kissing by the cake is my favourite, perfect lighting. You two looked beautiful! Congrats once again.

There was such a vast range in price and quality online but I wanted to get you more than just the sketch book. I thought the ornament was a neat idea, something you could keep on your tree year after year and be reminded of the BDW long after your DW. I hope you have a fantastic holiday season!! Merry Christmas!! I love them Amy! You are so sweet. Thanks again!

  22. Thank you to........... AmyInMI !!! She sent me a very nice wooden frame that holds a 4x6 picture. It has 'Love' written on the glass so it shadows onto the mat. Found a perfect size sketch book that I can throw in my purse and draw and jot down ideas when I am inspired ... hold me to it Amy... Gotta get my butt moving! And the last item I opened made me laugh out loud it is so cute! A beach Santa to hang on my tree, inscribed to remember BDW Secret Santa 2007! You tug on a hanging palm tree and it moves his legs, surf board and boom box. Thank you Amy for the sweet card, the gifts (love them) and happy holidays to you!
  23. I am so sorry to hear that you have to postpone. I had to postpone from our original date, but I wasn't too far into the process. The new date turned out to be much better for us in the long run. "No hay mal que por bien no venga" When something bad happens... some good always comes. We are here for you if you need to talk.
  24. Ditto, we are handing them out at the welcome dinner. Our resort also charges a fee to deliver.
