Paula, those look really good! It just amazes me how the pocket folder gives such a classy look to invites---- so was this your design, or the one the printer originally suggested? I remember you being disappointed in the design concept they proposed to you and you were going to try and rework the design. Thanks Maria. Saw something with the dots somewhere and expanded on that idea. So I did it all in ppt, saved it as a jpg and she used that. Not what she suggested. I was so pressed for time, that is what I decided to do... still took a while though. I didn't realize I was going to have to cut the seals myself. Good thing I only needed to put together 75 of them! It was a lot of $ for her to order the paper and envelopments and print them, the envelopes and for me to do all the rest.
  2. Ooooh Jamy, I have no good advice... I am sentimental and have little boxes of memories. I also have most of the flower petals FI has given me... until recently - I started taking pictures of the bouquets. Last week I was going through a box of CDs and tapes (yes, I too cannot part with my tapes - would cost a ton to get all those songs on itunes)... FI asked if I was finally going to throw out some stuff. Ha! Not yet... I was looking to see if there were any songs I wanted to add to our iPod for the wedding! When I moved last winter I probably got rid of a third of the boxes I had before the move, which counts for something, eh? Good luck J!

  11. Lauren! Simply gorgeous! You know, the embroidery reminds me of a Mexican design. It's beautiful!

  13. Wow! Excellent work once again! Congrats on your first BD shoot! Jackie is gorgeous!
  14. Well, I take that back... You get married right after me, so if I get the gold one, it won't have too much wear time
  15. Sounds like my ring! I tried on both white gold and platinum bands with mine and you cannot really tell (except for price tag). I think they wear differently, but that may be it. I have not bought mine yet, but I will let you know how it goes
  16. Hi, I am a Dreams bride. The time we actually chose to go is more expensive that the fall, but our date worked for those important people in our lives that we really wanted there. So that is one thing to consider. I think we have about the same number of people. I looked at a couple of hotels close to Dreams for options, but honestly, they would be paying more once you include food and drink. I suggest working with a travel agent to try to find the price points you are looking for. Keep in mind when contacting Dreams they may take a while to respond, but they will. They have weddings there several days of the week and are pretty busy. I think there you can have the reception (if you choose to have one), in the garden, ballroom, terrace, spa area or on the beach. Good luck and let us know how if you have any more questions
  17. I suggest opening a Photobucket account (free) and uploading the jpgs there. Then you just copy the last tag line that they post under the pictures you add to your album and then paste those links into the posts

  19. I used a huge Scotch glue gun-tape thing I borrowed from a lady that makes invitations and it worked very well, but it's huge! The one I was going to buy was from cards and stocks called Kokuyo Tape n roller 7.49 and the refills are 3.49.
