For the fathers (and Jeremy) we got them all monogrammed handkerchiefs from Exclusively weddings. For his mom and stepmom we got them ladies hankies with little pearls sewen around them. For my mom I got her a little silver tissue box from Jean M that had a mirror inside and it is engraved with a poem on the outside. We also wrote cards for all of them.

Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue
PaulaV replied to destinationbride07's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
This is what I had: Old: lipstick, boring I know. New: Several things, but my mom gave me an emerald ring to wear on my wedding day. Borrowed: I 'borrowed' a bouquet starfish from Tobe Blue: My sister gave me a handkerchief with a 'D' on it embroidered in blue. -
I hope to have my review done in the next few days. Reception was right inside the tower lobby. Too windy to eat outside. Claudia Rodriguez for photography - outstanding. Videographer Dreams uses from Cancun Studios - excellent video work.

People really liked it! He was there for an hour, during the cockatil hour. They were smoked after dinner. We negotiated $10 each, with a minimum of 15 cigars. Those were rolled so fast! We ended up with 25 total. There were cigars by the lobby bar and they were expensive, good, but expensive.

We had never been there before and my FI almost crapped when he saw the location for the ceremony. He couldn't stop talking about how great everything was after the wedding. I made the flower girl pomander. Fake flowers of some sort, cut off the stems and jammed into a green flower ball. Worked out well since she had to old her brother's hand at times to walk up the aisle. Quote: Originally Posted by dc22173 We are getting married at Dreams Cancun next year. The flowers are from the florist the resort uses. I was in the salon and Claudia and Daniela brought them to me to see and I immediately teared up. Quote: Originally Posted by starchild Mija!!! Oh, and if I told you about all the yummy food I had ... Let's just say I didn't hold back AND I had huevos con chorizo the morning of my wedding! -
We had one and it was a big hit! It was Cancun, not Cabo, we agreed on a minimum amount for them to roll, we paid for them and gave them tip as well. So we only paid per consumption. It was very cool to watch... we caught the tail end of it.

Welcome Kristi! I just got back from my wedding there. You will be very pleased!

We used the one included in our wedding package. He was excellent! They extended the time since we didn't use the photo package included. We also had a friend that took video and gave us that as well. I am so glad we have these perspectives on the wedding since it went by so fast and there were also things we did not get to see. (Totally missed cocktail hour).

They are uploading now! Hehe! The pro pics were mostly between 3-6 MG each, so I had to compress all of them and they are still uploading. I am not going to bed until they are done and a link posted Quote: Originally Posted by Raeka OK Paula enough is enough - where are the pics?? I totally missed this voting, not surprising as I am just catching up ... how cool! Congrats ladies!

Ana, Ana, Ana... someone went to sleep early and I didn't get to meet them! I think you and Dave had a few drinks with my brother-in-law! Hehe! Dave did hang out with us the rest of the night though, that was cool. You took some great pictures! I think the terrace is a lot bigger that it looked in previous pictures I had seen, but you got it! My original thought was to have dinner on the terrace, but decided to have cocktail and dancing out there instead. It was so windy this time of year! We had dinner in the tower lobby and didn't really notice people going up to their rooms. I will be writing my review soon and I totally agree with you about Claudia, such a sweetheart. Oh, and before I forget... I told her to give you guys our extra sparklers. We had a friend of a friend buy them over the holidays and he held them until closer to the wedding and then he brought them by Dreams. People loved them! Ciao!

We're back! Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu everyone for the well wishes! It was perfect! I do have a ton of pictures I am sorting through right now. I even have the pro pics already too. I got a terrible cold the last few days of our honeymoon in Playa, so I have slept most of today, but I promise to get pictures up soon. PS: Dreams Cancun brides... you have nothing to be worried about... I realize now I may have over thought a few things, but it was so simple once I got there and met with Claudia. She and Daniela are *so* busy, but go through every detail with you when you arrive. I cannot say enough about them.
