  1. I took my laptop and burnt a CD for the ceremony only. The sound guy has a whole elaborate set up with his headset, PC, CDs, mixer, etc. He did a fabulous job.
  2. Congratulations Donnie and Erica! Have a fantastic day together!!!
  3. We we're working today. I am sad though, we had to take our dog to the vet's emergency service last night. He was shaking uncontrollably and had a fever of 105. We were there all evening and had to leave him there overnight since his temp went back up before we left. They said he is better this morning, but the Dr. still needs to check him out.
  4. I had big ideas for my bags, but when it came down to it I pretty much filled it with edibles and few cheapie things. I saw people using the canvas bags for beach bags and for going to the market. We did not put our names or date on them, just location. People used the chapstick and the Motrin and Immodium. I think all the local goodies were eaten. We got the cheap cactus shot glasses from OTC, don't think they were used very much, but we used them at our honeymoon resort that had liquor bottles in the room!
  5. Thank you all! We are extremely pleased! Quote: Originally Posted by NYJen Paula, I LOVE your pics. Just beautiful!!!! Sol does such amazing work. So I think I'm going to show him your pics so he'll feel better about it. LOL!!! Well, after seeing Kelly and Everton's pics I really though he would do it. There are a few of him standing in the water next to me, but they didn't make the slideshow. Hopefully they are in the CD she sends me. I could hear the music from where I waited to start walking down the aisle. The sound guy is great too! I burnt the songs for the ceremony ande gave them to Claudia with the numbers of what #s where for what. I gave my iPod to my sister to man, but the sound guy took care of that too!
  7. Thank you everyone, it really was perfect! Quote: Originally Posted by RoSean Paula, you looked great!!! Looks like everyone had a great time. Thanks for sharing the photos. Now that I saw your pictures, I think I'm going with the red carpet as well since my dress have a semi-chapel train. Sorry, I hope you don't mind that I have a few questions. How many guests did you have? Was there enough room to dance the way they had set up the tables? Did it get too cold during the reception that the guests needed sweaters? Did you have a buffet dinner or sit down? Did you hire a DJ and if so who? What time did the reception end? Would you recommend wearing a veil since it was pretty windy by the gazebo? Muchas Gracias!! I didn't ask for the carpet, they just used it anyway. I will post a review soon, but here are some answers to your questions... 41 adults, 5 children We danced inside only for the first dance and father-daughter/mother-son dances, we were outside for the rest buffet dinner fotr more choices we had an ipod and the sound guy took care of it for us Hmmm... cannot remember the time... 9:30 ish maybe? I am glad I used a veil since I felt more bride-like, but it was a real hassle and you can see me roaring with laughter with my dad walking down the aisle since it was spinning around our heads! So for that time of year, I say no. Quote: Originally Posted by cmw Love your pics!!! Everything looks PERFECT!!! You look so beautiful and happy!! Did you get the sparklers down there? 9. Inside with water bottle: These ones I ended up using with most of the stuff I had in them. It's missing the immodium packets, chapstick and the Totis which are similar to chips with lime and salt, yum! Oh, and peanuts (cacahute japones) and obleas (caramel-type candy).
  11. Here they are! I am so impressed with Sol's work, not to mention what a sweetheart she is... We met Sol Tamargo and her assistant, Diego, the day we went to Playa del Carmen on our honeymoon. Small world, even as big as Mexico City is, Diego and I went to the same highschool there! Sol took us to a nearby beach since the beach at Playacar Palace is gone this time of year. We went on to some local ruins where the greenery was just so beautiful! Then we went to another local beach area where she suprised us with champagne and we did a mini-TTD until sunset. I had no problem trashing my dress at this point, but my dear husband was not up for rolling around in the water and sand. Hmmm, should I tell my alterations lady that water did not spot or ruin my dress?! We had a wonderful time and we have some excellent pictures to remember our time in Mexico... Sol Tamargo Photography Wedding Photojournalism Muchisisimas gracias Sol y Diego!!!
  12. I made mine in Powerpoint with directions from Maria. I carried a common theme and colour throughout:
  13. Nice to finally 'see' you E! I'm a little late, but I hope you get the veil! It will be special as a gift and I must say the mantilla goes beautifully with what I can see of your dress! (I bought one from the site Morgan posted because I was paying for it and mine was long and straight with no design).
  14. Our first dance song was 'Never Tear Us Apart' by INXS.
  15. Gosh they are all beautiful! Hmm... I voted for the second dress. The way it swooshes over to the side is very flattering.

The one I have picked just has lillies and roses. As a Hawkeye, I'll just say "no comment" to the OSU garter. My niece's family from Ohio sent her a "Baby Buckeye" DVD in an attempt at brainwashing, but I'm guessing that would be a hit in your house. I guess we'll have to let you rest up and get rid of the bronchitis before we bug you about more details 9poor thing)- but sick days are great for writing reviews.j/k Thanks for sharing! So glad you had the perfect day! You are too sweet, thank you ~blush~. Hehe, neither one of us went to OSU, but it's hard to not be a fan living in this city I went to Iowa quite a few times in the past year for work, so, go Hawkeyes! Is it normal for her to take awhile to get back to people or did my computer glitch out and not send my email? Does anyone have a direct email address for her that I can try? Thanks so much! Dawn I know she was quite busy when we were there, I would give her a few days then maybe try again. She is excellent!

  18. Oooh! Nice! I can't wait to hear all about the surprise shower!
  19. I actually ordered one when I got my fans from them, but I did not use them for OOT bags.

  22. I believe Mike from your Video team recorded our wedding at Dreams on 2.2.2008 and he did a phenomenal job! We were very impressed with the video and are so grateful to have it on DVD! Thank you!!!
  23. Dreams uses Cancun Studios for their videography and we had our time with Mike extended in lieu of the photo package that we didn't use fromt he ultimate package. Mike gave Claudia Rodriguez our DVD and she delivered it to us along with our wedding pictures. We are so glad we did this! The day goes so fast and there are things we forgot that we got to see on video. Everything was to music except for the ceremony. It was very well done! I especially liked seeing our names and pictures on the interactive DVD menu
  24. I have made some very special friends over this last year on BDW... Happy Valentine's Day BDWers!
