  1. We have it pretty bad right now too. Those are nice pictures btw We have bizzard-ish conditions. We are not allowed to be on the roads or we will be arrested... It's called level 3 snow emergency. How I miss Mexico....
  2. Hi Denise, Maybe it's a little bit of 'thank you for coming' along with 'we were thinking of things to make your stay more comfortable'. I went to a wedding in a different state where they gave us a gift bag with chips, chocolates, gum, water bottles, snack stuff that was nice to have and a thank you note. We ate it all. With destination weddings, I have seen people include items that maybe people will need or maybe don't know they need until they get there, in addition to small gifts. There is actually a 'sticky' in this sub-forum that includes OOT pictures which could be helpful to decide what you would like the to be.
  3. I'm with ya... just a few miles north of you and I heard we are in a level 3 snow emergency! Had to cancel all my plans today You still have some time to get ready for your fitting Erica
  4. Congratulations Corey and Phil! Hope your wedding day is perfect!!!

  6. I like "Microsoft Clipart" do Google search for it. The MS site and some very great images. Just use the keyword search once you are there.
  7. I think if it fits your personalities, then definitely do it~! It is your wedding! I incorporated an OSU garter, he was very surprised! We played 'Hang on Sloopy' (the O-H-I-O version) at the reception and it even got our MI guests dancing

Thanks! The sound system guy (for the rented system) played our CD I gave them for the ceremony, everything on queue. Same for the reception. He used our iPod and mixed things up so that there was no lag in between songs. The only thing he did not do was present folks, which my sister and a friend did and we had a wireless mic to do the toasts and to 'sing' during the dancing. It worked out well if you just want to rent the equipment.

  10. Here is mine with descriptions: (Oops! Trying to make smaller - sorry!)
  11. Thanks for this code, it is good info. For future, we have a thread to add any coupon codes here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t6722
  12. I have Verizon and did not need to change anything or add any numbers in order for them to be received on the other end successfully. Dialing out I did, but not for texting.
  13. Carly they are beautiful!!! Looks like a lot of work went into them. Love the combination with orange.
  14. Search for a post by Sol Tamargo about recommendations for PDC. She is a vendor here, but is also a recent bride and wrote up a good review of places in Playa.

One wanted chaulk as to where to stand My sister who is married, suggested we do it again, but had my mom stand in for me so I was able to see it all and see if it was the way I liked from afar. that was very good since the standing positions were not quite right.' We didn't get the chaul I don't think, but after going through it twice, it went well on our wedding day.

International is pretty much everything they have, US, Mexican, etc. I think regular is just Mexican. We chose mostly the Silver menu since it came with the package, but there were items we liked from the Gold menu we had. I don't have it off hand but I think it was the tortilla soup, a couple of the salads we chose from the gold. I'd have to check.
  17. No charge for rehearsal since it was just Claudia and our wedding party. The Friday we chose to do this all restaurants were actually closed and they had a Caribbean dinner in the ballroom which worked out really well. We got there when they opened, I told them when we go to the front door (they take your room number there) that we had X amount of people and they had 5 or 6 tables in one area for us. So it was a dinner buffet, very yummy, and then a show. The other day they did something like this was a Tuesday. The only restaurant I think you would be able to just show up would be the World Cafe. This is only buffet. Himitsu & Seaside grill are too small. Oceana may be able to, but they would have to plan, which I think would involve extra charges for the staff.

I did not have a hard suitcase. None of them broke.

I gave Claudia 50 people for the quote and we ended up with 41 adults and 5 children.
  20. I just put them all in a huge bag and stuck it in the suitcase. BUT I did not have the programs on them. I stuck those on with zots once we were there.
  21. Nothing special, it was just a way to wrap up the night. People lit their spraklers and waved them around to whatever song we had playing at that point. They were fun. Not sure I would want to walk under them as a few sparks did hit me and they burned a little.
