  1. That was fantastic!! It looked like you guys has an amazing wedding & celebration Congratulations! and thanks for sharing
  2. I have a combo skin type - dry and oily. I wanted to try Bare Essentials - but I was sceptical that a powder would work well with oily skin. Does anyone have experience with this?
  3. Thanks for the info!! Good to know about the capacity for the Presidential Gazebo because I was actually told that the Presidential Gazebo could only have 10 guests!? Do you know where on the resort it is located? Thanks!
  4. Congratulations!! It sounds like you had an amazing time!! I loved what your husband did the night before - too cute!
  5. Oh! It's stunning - I can't wait to see you in it! Congratulations!!
  6. Thank-you so much for the review and pics! it was definitly helpful!! question for you: your ceremony site is the site I have picked. But I was wondering, were your guests able to see you, when you pulled up in the golf cart? or is there a place where the golf cart can drop you, out of sight, before walking down the aisle? Thanks! and congratulations again

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had figured out the best bargain out of all three. I'll have to dig up the costs in my files somewhere - PM me with your email address and I can send it to you.
  9. Hey! Yes Claudia is located right in the Mayan. I believe there are a few others as well. Yes you would be expected to cover their hotel expense. I would guess it would work out to be about $500 for 1 person.
  10. There are definitly some great photographers on BDW. If you did a search for photographers - you will find tones. and there seems to be a good price range (to name a few: Sol, LEigh Miller, Elizabeth Medina, Claudia, Robin...Jonathon....hmm that is all that I can think of off the top of my head - but I know there are more). You can search their names and find their posts with links to their websites I am bringing down my photographers from home. There is a great young couple who are trying to get into the destination wedding market, and they offered us a great deal. you can check them out at: Edmonton wedding photography by Rob & Lauren although they are still fairly new to wedding photography - I love their style and think they take some amazing pictures - they are also so incredibly sweet! anyways - good luck!

  12. Hey! here is the sunrise/sunset calender for your wedding month: http://www.sunrisesunset.com/calendar.asp I am getting married in May, when the sunsets about 15 minutes earlier. We are getting married at about 4, then I want the reception to start about 545 or 6. So that gives us time to do a few pics. I also want to maximize the partying time since it all has to shut down at 11!! Though I am a bit concerned about how hot the sun will be at 4 - I also don't want the sun beating down on me!

In all fairness to Lomas, my experience has been that outside of Hawaii, orchids tend to run pricier than many other flowers. cool - thanks Bre!

I see you are getting married May 3 - I will be arriving at the resort that date - so I may see you down there Have fun planning!
  15. Here is a thread regarding the Photographer issue. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...tographer.html Basically, whether or not it is a big deal, really depends on your own situation. If you are bringing in local photographers - it really sucks, but as of right now they are not 'officially' changing the policy. If you are bringing down your own photographer, then they will likely be staying at the resort with you anyway - and you can add them to your guest list as a client. Hopefully, by the time your wedding rolls around, there will be a change in the policy!! Good luck with all the planning - have fun!
  16. From the 3 from yesterday - I like the last the best! It is very beautiful and simple on you. But I think I like the last 2 from the previous trip better - you look stunning in either of those!

I wish I had pictures to show you, but you can see a couple on the Karisma website. Just my opinion... I think Fuentes would have more character. And, its right on a large pool and has big windows all in front so if you look out at night you see the pool and fountain and trees all lit up. Hope it helps! Maybe your WC could send you pics? So Fuentes is completly enclosed now?! That's good to know! Shannon - I chose Fuentes for my rehearsal dinner. I thought it would be a fun restaurant.
