  1. Do you have any idea how many guests you will have? I know it's tough to estimate but we really tried to put our guests needs ahead of our own when it came to resorts. We needed a resort with alot of rooms, children friendly, all inclusive and had a wedding package. We talked to alot of our guests to hear their suggestions and feedback. My grandfather was the one who suggested the Riu in the end. Also keep in mind you won't be abel to please everyone. Welcome to the forum and good luck picking a resort.
  2. Erica and Amy you're guests are going to have so much fun! I wish I would have thought of this for my welcome dinner. I love this idea!
  3. We were different; we both got a lil bit drunk and ended up crashing in our suite together. I guess J couldn't find his brother (whom he was supposed to sleep with). I wasn't bothered by it. The morning of the wedding was really cute, we spent the morning cuddling and then got up, got ready and went our different ways.... we didn't see eachother again until the wedding. I spent the morning having breakfast with all the ladies (ladies only breakfast ) and then me and my bridesmaids began getting ready. I also had a massage to calm my nerves. That was the best massage ever and so worth it. My nerves were crazy!!!

  5. I'm so excited for Jenn! I'm glad it's all going well thanks for the update Shelley.
  6. I'm looking forwward to seeing all the pictures, what a treat! Good luck katie!
  7. All I can say hunni is that you're not in the wrong. I would be feeling the same way you do. I hope she reconsiders moving the wedding date back so you can enjoy your wedding... I agree with you and it will give her more time to see if he is "the one". Gosh I hope he is a changed man.
  8. WOOHOO Christa looks like they're moving onto phase 2(framing and vertical building)! There is only 3 phases in construction so that's pretty good sign. I can't wait to see, you have any more pictures?
  9. I'm sure you've seen by now that PV is a very popular choice for a DW and there are a ton of venues to chose from. I was married at the Riu Jalisco in Nuevo Vallarta and my wedding coordinator was Erica. They don't do much planning until you get there though which is not the best if you're a planner like me. I also suggest looking into Las Caletas, their weddings are unbelievable and we have several future and past brides who have gotten married there. Welcome to the forum and good luck.
  10. That was a WONDERFUL and AMAZING slideshow. I think I was inlove with every single shot. The photos with the children are adorable and really touching. Annie you are a gorgeous woman... very photogenic. Fantastic, I think I'm going to watch it again, I loved it so much.
  11. ****UPDATE: we wanted to try the 2 litter boxes first before we bought the littermaid, so we bought a second box. She's NEVER used the second box BUT there hasn't been one accident since we got the 2nd box. We put a new mat under the original litterbox and maybe that has something to do with it? Could it be she didn't like the feel of the hardwood on her paws? I don't know but cats are weird and thank goodness I don't have to deal with kitty poop on the floor daily!
  12. 5 years and still going strong, awesome!! Congratulations Amy!!!
  13. Thanks ladies... I can't wait to receive them. It should be any day now. I owe alot of credit to all of you who helped especially Sarah.
  14. I love your book for your sister. It's such a sweet gift. i think she will be honored to get it.
  15. *crossing fingers* I sent it off... I'm so nervous. I used the MPix program for cards and calandars and just created my own. No template or anything just imported my files (outside of card, inside of card, back of card) from lumapix. I ordered the 4.5 x 5 greeting cards on stock paper with glossy. I hope they aren't too small. it was a toss up between the 5 x 7 and them. I went with smaller so i didn't have to write as much on the inside. hehehe
  16. Beuatiful dress, your step daughter is such a cutie. You can tell you were both really excited to find "the one"!
  17. Good point. I use the adobe proof and those little marks near the corners is where they cut, right? It's like 1/4 inch from the outside of the page? I made it so it's on that line... but I'm so nervous to hit the oder button. I'd be upset if they came back cut off. Me and J were analyzing it and he thinks it's OK as long as it's within that 1/4 inch border? What do you think Sarah? I've never ordered cards form Mpix just Photobooks.
  18. Thanks for the font Sarah, I asked J what he liked better and he liked the scriptina. I really liked your idea with the black background, it makes it stand out more. I used the idea as you can see. I love them, thanks again everyone!

I did black & white on the background and used Jane Austen font for the Gracias. The text also looks good in white this way too, but the general consensus seems to be for the yellow at this point. I also think you could get away with Scriptina too if you're only doing one message on the front. Totally just an idea for you- I have no emotional attachment to it so if you don't like it I won't be offended. You asked for suggestions, and you all know this is my favorite thing to do Also, I still would like the background pic better if Jared wasn't cut off on the side, but again, I don't know if that's just how the pic is, or how you cropped it. Cool, yeah I totally used your ideas. It looks alot better and like Martha mentioned, it's not as busy. I like just using the gracias on the outside. I'm on dafont now looking for Jane Austin. I am going to play with the font color too. I appreciate all your help Sarah and I used your suggestions so I really like what you did. You have a talent for this sort of thing as we've all mentioned before. So when you say "good job" or "I like it" it really means alot. Thanks again

I'd probably put Gracias on the outside, and "Thank You" on the inside 3) I'm not sure I'm in love with Scriptina for this project. It is one of my favorite fonts, but I'm not 100% in love with it here. Let me think about that for a minute. OK, just starting dinner- let me come back to this one... Edited to add: I like the yellow. I'm not sure if I like how Jared is half off the photo, kwim? Is that the way the photo is or did you crop it that way? Gosh Sarah I don't know what i would do without you. I already made the changes you suggested and WOW. you really do know this stuff. Thanks for catching J being half cropped off the photo, I didn't catch that and I definitley don't want him in half. These will be folded cards from Mpix. I was going to do a test though by printing 1 off at home first before I put in the order. Have any suggestions for font? anyone?
  21. Hmm from our experience with the Riu, they didn't notice if people had a 1 day pass or 3 day pass. The people who purchased a 1 day pass kept comming back and staff didn't say anything. Good luck jennette with everything. Your day is comming so soon!!

Welcome to the forum Leslie. You have definitley come to the right place! BDW is awesome for researching different locations for a DW. From what I've seen Punta Cana is amazing and very beautiful. You have time on your side that's for sure. Good luck with all the planning
