  1. Aww that dress is so sweet! I can't wait to see her in it, I'm sure she will be adorable!
  2. Oh you are all going to have s much fun doing a TTD. I second what JM said, get dry photos first then get wet and dirty I suggest looking at as many TTD photos as you possibly can before hand and writing down the idea that you like. Then she them to her so she can figure out the angles and just get on the same wave length as you. When you're there at Dreams walk around and see where you think the best locations for the shoot will be. Time is another important factor to pay attention to. Usually in the morning there aren't as many people around and it's some of the best lighting for photography. Also in the evening is great for lighting, there just may be more people around.
  3. Those dresses are cute or should I say sexy?! I love both of them! So where did you get them from?

  5. Yesterday I felt so special because I got a package in the mail which was an unexpected surprise! As some of you may remember I helped Carly out with making a DVD slideshow for her AHR. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t24139 I did it to help a fellow BDW pal out, afterall that's what makes this forum so great, right? So it was a big shocker when I got this gift from her! She got me a gorgeous little ring box, perfect to put my ring in at night and a stationary set, both from ten thousand villages. I've never heard of this vendor before but the quality is amazing! Thank you Carly it was incredibly generous of you and I LOVE it! The gift will be put to very good use You are such a sweetie!
  6. Edna that's great news!!! Thanks for sharing and it's so nice to see your happy and excited again!
  7. Welcome to the forum Heather :0) I got married last year at the Riu jalisco, which is next door to the Vallarta. It is a really nice resort!
  8. YAY!!! Hospitals suck, what a relief for your FFIL, hope he progresses!
  9. Well I'm trying to plan a 4 day weekend get away somewhere relatively close here in Florida for our 1 year anniversary... I'm not really finding anywhere anniversary worthy though, if that makes sense. Then I'm going home back to Canada for Christmas to see the family! In March we're doing Disney world with my little sisters, that will be a blast too!
  10. Glad to see you made it to BDW!!! Great work btw on Alyssa & Jen's shots!

I think we fit the max of 45 in and 10 were outside the gazebo. The people outside the gazebo get a really nice view of the wedding procession though on a positive note. Plus they have a speaker system so everyone can hear without any problems.
  12. I'm sure you're dancing the night away and having the time of your life!!! All the best!
  13. All your hard work paid off, your glowing in that dress! Maura your dress looks like it has alot of detailing, very nice. Congrats on your weight loss, I know it must have been really challenging but worth the reward in the end Jose is a lucky guy!
  14. That would be so much fun though Abby!! Yeah that trick with Dougs camera is awesome, I need to learn how to do that. You looked really beautiful by the way in your dress!
  15. I'm loving what I'm seeing! Everyone did an awesome job incorporating their names! Great theme Tammy!
  16. Cool! I saw you on this morning and I was abut to search for this post to ask you how it went. You beat me to it! A self portrait interesting. I usually only take self portraits when I'm drunk lol I can't wait to see your photo though incorporating the shadow. You're so creative!
  17. I just had to look at your photos again... I think these are some of my favorite wedding photos I've ever seen. Plus I know the bride, well virtually know her I can't believe that shot you got on the the malecon! I can't wait to see more!
  18. Abby, I've been meaning to tell you how much I like your avatar photo.... that is an awesome shot for sure! I adore the 3rd photo you posted of just you and Doug. It was really "in the moment" if you know what i mean? Wasn't doing a TTD fun?
  19. Hmm I'm under the impression that every AI is different... sorry wish I had a better answer. Would you TA be able to get you a contact for this question?
  20. Suzanne Morel is like a rockstar to BDW She does an amazing job bringing out the best in all our pretty gals.

I actually brought some star fish and flowers to put on the cake but I forgot the day of the wedding. Like I said before no big deal to me, I didn't even get my photog to take photos of the cake cutting.. I think it was close to midnight by the time we cut the cake. haha Thanks for the comment on my photos! Once you get your photos you will become obsessed with them too :0) Seriously they are very addicting making projects and stuff. How big is your group again? Ours was 55 and it worked fine.

Yes the cake was kind of crappy compared to most wedding cakes but that wasn't a big concern of mine to be honest. It was super YUMMY though. Mmmm I wish i would have saved a piece but it was so melted to begin with. A horrible photo but it's all I got before After 4 hours being in the heat (not sure if you can tell but it's lop sided lol)
