Oh your photos are simply gorgeous as are you :0) I love the yellow BM dresses, they worked very well. Claudia did an amazing job! I just love the dramatic sky.
WOW you look smoking hot girl!!! Your FH is going to freak out (in a good way ) when he sees these.
Trish, Maura & Tammy you really rocked this shoot! That angle in the 2nd shot is cool, was that in the bathroom?
thanks for the review. I have a friend looking into getting married in Puerto Plata and i will be sure to pass this info along. Looks like you had a beautiful wedding!
Our wedding was in October 2007 and it was a beautiful sunny day. very hot and very humid but I'm sure you know what that's like if you've been there for either the month of July or September. I'm trying to think about the days we had rain. Mostly just a shower in the afternoon if any rain at all.
Sorry to hear about the ROR and the bad service. I've never really heard anything positive about sunquest. I'm surprised Chandlyn didn't inform the staff of the resort that you were the bride and groom. How embarrassing that your guests got flowers & towels and you didn't! Sorry that really sucks. Glad to hear you didn't get hassled about bringing in your own photographer.
Hopefully the photos make up for the experience overall. Congratulations and welcome back!
What a beautiful gift Jess! I think that is so sweet and I'm sure just means the world to you Tammy, doesn't it? I saw the photo on flickr and I was curious and now I understand. The colors look so good with Roja. Happy soon to be 28th birthday Tammy
Hah abbie you made me laugh because I'm horrible and I missed this too.
Thank you girls for the birthday wishes. Yes it may have been the best birthday ever! We had so much fun, almost too much fun if that's possible. We stayed at this little villa/condo (more like a condo lol) and I got to take in a superb sunset. Then we went out for an amazing dinner; MG2006 . I got grouper and lobster and it was so tasty. My mouth is just watering thinking of it. I'll post some photos for you girls as soon as I upload them.
Thanks again for the luv.
You girls went to an ice rink! Oh wow I can't wait to see those. I bet they're incredible. Although it looks pretty cold I think these photos are awesome. The first one is one of my favorites for sure! Good job Tammy.
Welcome to the forum. I was married at the Riu Jalisco as well so let me know if I can help you at all with any concerns or questions you may have. Congratulations!
We honeymooned at the Buenaventura too! Although when we were there they had some construction issues which weren't fun. But I'm sure that's over now and you can reap the benefits of a remodel. The staff were great and our room had a beautiful jacuzzi in it which we used every night. It helps set the mood for a honeymoon IMO.
I loved the location of the resort. Downtown PV is a quick walk and I encourage you to stop along all the little shops and bars along the way on the malecon. Bring some good shoes though because your feet will hurt after a while.
Like Mishka said the beach is a little rocky but that didn't keep up from swimming in it. The current seemed a bit strong too compared to the resort we stayed in the previous week in Nuevo Vallarta. There were NO kids when we were there, the guests were all adults and we had alot of fun making friends and hanging out. It's a smaller resort than it's neighbor the Premiere but you can still use the amenities at the 5 star Premiere. We would swim there and got to eat there apart of the AI package offered by the Buenaventura. The food was really good at the Buenaventura but nothing beat the service or meals over at the premiere.
Let me know if you have any questions and I can try my best to help. We were there in October of 2007 so over a year ago.
