Hmm I believe the symbolic ceremony is just that. It's a true wedding not like a renewal or anything just skipping out on the religious aspect.

Great resort. I got married next door at the Jalisco. The Riu Vllarta is a gorgeous resort, you made a great choice Be sure to check out the official Riu thread in the PV forum too. There's some good info in there with the wedding packages the Riu vallarta offers.

Totally loving this show, i heard the latest season is one of the best. I think the finale aired last night too. Mary Louise Parker is such an amazing actress and I think Andy is one of my favorite characters.

We got an upgrade with our wedding at the Riu Jalisco in PV. They seemed really good about giving us the best service/treatments because it was our wedding. I also think we got some free spa services for having so many people book there.

Yeah i'm still watching too. We have showtime so i try and catch late night big brother on DVR sometimes. There's a twist i guess coming up soon... I hope they announce what it is on this evenings episode. natalie really irks me, I hope she doesn't win.

Oh that's tough; PV or Cabo?! but as soon as I saw you were looking at the Riu Jalisco, hands down PV. Of course I'm partial because we got married at their gazebo but still I loved that resort and so did all my guests and family. The Riu Jaslico is about a $20 cab ride to downtown PV. have you ever heard of Bucerias? it's about a $5 cab ride from the Riu Jalisco and is similar. Great food and cheap shopping. Got to love that! If you have any questions we have a Riu thread in the PV section :0) We're here to help! Either way Cabo or Pv will be a great location for your DW.

I don't think you will have a problem finding someone to perform an english ceremony in the DR. I know Dreams in Punta Cana has an english ceremony for sure :0) I was just there back in June. That resort is such a dream to have a wedding at too especially with the gazebo. Generally the wedding coordinators at the resorts could help you with this as well. Best of luck planning

I did my own back in the day... well kinda. I designed them myself and then ordered them through vistaprint. Everyone LOVED them and I still see them in some of our guests homes :0)

Jamie your slideshow makes me smile :0) It's gorgeous and Elizabeth did an amazing job! You looked stunning and the entire day was captured perfectly. i really felt as f I was there in las caletas with you guys from this slideshow. There are a few of my faves like the one of you meditating, in the doorway posing, Martin in his GQ pose on his balcony, the two of you seeing eahother before the ceremony and the photo of you taking a shot (hehe I make the same faces). All the time you took planning your wedding really paid off everything from your flowers, fans, maracas and place settings looked so chic and colorful! I just loved all the details. Makes me want to get married all over again... this time at Las caletas! Oh funny note - I remember that gorgeous little kitty! I have photos of it too. LOL Such a sweet little cat.

I think the red would make for a fun, unique TTD session! The red against the water will really pop and look gorgeous I'm sure. Let us know what you decide!
