    Nice choice Pauline! welcome to the forum. I was just at Dreams Punta Cana last spring and it's an absolutely gorgeous resort. be sure to check out the Dreams punta cana threads we have quite a few brides planning their DW there.

    That shoot is going to be so much fun and your boudoir photos will be very original. A few things off the top of my head: - oversized sunglasses - one pice bathing suit (think classy vintage look) - sun/straw hat - long string of pearls or chunky necklace for jewelry - maybe a surf board as a prop with some cute boarder shorts and a top Overall the location is going to be a hit! Can't wait to see, best of luck!

    Oh i'm digging that last one!!!! RAWR!!!! i almost bought one similar from overstock but it was silver and white/gray instead of the orange. I like the pop orange brings into it. Damn I wish i could do it again now :/

    Now that's kind of DW planning, affordable and up for any promos :0) I found 2 years ago when booking ours mostly any hotel gives you bonuses for a DW but I guess that could have changed now. I see you're really wanting everyone to come just give them plenty of notice and be prepared for some key people not to make it. It usually happens with DWs but if you prepare yourself now you'll be better off :0)

    Oooo looks nice! I don't think it's too much. i actually like how the flower kind of matches the dress because there are flowers on your dress. Nice way to incorporate it. I love bling though maybe that's why i don't think it's too much.

    Hi kristin, welcome to BDW :0) I haven't been to the Melia but I have been to Dreams Punta Cana and it is a large, beautiful, upscale resort. A great choice for a DW. They're pretty popular and sometimes have as many as 3 DW's a day but there are different ceremony locations to chose from. Your travel agent should be able to compare the 2 resorts in size I'm sure. happy planning!

    I agree with checking out some of the local photography schools. Could be an amazing opportunity for an up coming talented artist. They've already been through the techinical aspects. Just be patient with them just in case.... I know with weddings you only get one chance for a lot of shots. You need a fast paced photographer who is used to the pace of weddings. You wouldn't want someone missing that first kiss shot or any special moment for that matter! best of luck in your search - let us know how it goes.

    You still have plenty of time to find the right one, don't worry. Sometimes we get a ton of inquiries within days with the same date. I guess it's just apart of the business and I'm sure she feels bad. Vanessa is very talented and MarieSam gave some other great options you could look into! Have you tried any of your local photogs that may be interested in getting into Destination Weddings? I would check them too cuz then you can actually meet them and give them your deposit in person and have some face time :0) Maybe even book a local engagement shoot as a bonus to get to know them.

    Welcome to the forum, you picked a wonderful resort. We have a few brides on here that have been married there and it is absolutely beautiful. DW's can be tough planning from afar but I think you'll find this forum to be a great help... I know I did Have you ever been to PV or plan to do a site visit before hand?
