Jilly I'm just like you. Every last penny I can manage to squeeze by with is going to the wedding. In the summer I just used to go to web sites with recipe ideas and had the points listed. And I got addicted to Tim Horton's Chilli which was only 6 pts (I think?). I also have an excel file that calculates points from fibre content, carbs, calories and fat. And I kept my logging/daily diary in the computer file as well. I'm such a geek... and i can't beleive I just admitted to making my own ww points excel file. Please don't judge.... haha Perhaps I'll start back up again and join you ladies on the ww wagon... the hardest part is the first part and changing over. That means I have to go grocery shopping and working out again. AHHH

Julie that's not a bad deal at all! I think mine worked out to be $30 for 30 magnets... 5.5" by 4" They are the perfect size, perhaps on the larger side for a magnet... but I was happy with them. I also got 140 return address labels for FREE. I was worried they would look cheap but they look fine. How big are yours?

Cool, I found this forum. Do any of you ladies attend the regular meetings? Or do you just count points? Just wondering because in the summer I just conted the points and worked out and I was successful with it. but I was wondering if the meetings help at all or are they a waste of $$ better spent on food.

Wow... so weight watchers IS successful. Hmmm

Good job Christine! Wow, weight watchers really does work. I was going to join but I never did... I calculated some points and what not but i never attended the meetings or anything. Do you go to the weekly meetings on a regular basis? Would you recomend it? Just curious...

hey everyone. i received my magnets in the mail and they look awesome, i couldn't have hoped for a better size or quality. Now I've moved on to a letter to send along with the magnet. So far this is what i got. Any suggestions or errors that anyone can notice? What kind of paper should i print it on? Dear Family and Friends, As you may know, we have been planning a small, intimate, wedding abroad. To make it special we've decided to get married in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. Nuevo Vallarta is just north of Puerto Vallarta and promises to be warmer than both Canada and the States in October. It also boasts remarkably beautiful architecture, great food, fun beaches, and tons of historic charm. Although we want to have a small and simple wedding, there are some special friends whom we would love to be with our families and us on our special day. We hope you too can join us so we are sending you this letter so that you can save the date. We will be traveling to Nuevo Vallarta on the week of October 6th-13th. We plan to get married in the afternoon on Wednesday the 10th. A wonderful reception and dinner will follow shortly after the ceremony. October is a very busy month for many. We realize that this may make it difficult for you to come to Mexico, and we would understand if you are unable to join us. Our fingers will be crossed and we’ll be absolutely delighted if you can make it! We think you'll find lots to do and enjoy your vacation in Mexico for as long as you choose to stay before or after the wedding. We'll be sending a formal invitation in the near future. For now we need to get a general idea of the number of guests ahead of time. Puerto Vallarta does a brisk tourist trade all year long, and the month of October also gets busier for hotels and restaurants due to vacationers. For this reason, our wedding planner is already encouraging us to get an approximate number of guests for some of the reservations she needs to make. We understand that an RSVP at this point would be considered tentative, but it would help us out a lot. You may contact Jared at xxx xxx or Melissa at xxx xxx. You may also reach Jared via e-mail at @msn.com or Melissa at to let us know if you can join us in Mexico this October. We look forward to hearing from you and ultimately seeing you in Mexico for this wonderful day! Also, make sure you visit our website at XXX for up to date details on the wedding and travel! Fondly, Jared & Melissa

I've lost 5 pounds in 2 months just by watching my portions and eating healthy. Another reason why i think I've lost some weight is because I usually had a junk food snack before bed. Now I don't eat junk (I opt for carrots or those flavored rice chips) and I don't eat after 8 pm.

Paulina Ulloa - PV Photographer

I like her photos and her prices aren't that bad. I don't understand why at my resort (Riu) I only have 1 choie of photographer who can't spend more than 2 hours with me? I'm so confused and frusterated. I am trying to think of ways to smuggle in a professional photog... any ideas? -
Hmm I think I'm going to attempt to make my own veil. I know how to sew and I think it would be fun. I'll just ahve to be REALLY patient (something I'm not LOL). But I want 2 tiers and just under the shoulders. Sew on some swvorski (sp) crystals and satin ribbon or somehting along the edge. I'll definatley have to make a protoge first! What other types of fabric do they use for a veil other than crinolin?

I can PM you the letter later tonight if you want to see how we worded it. Christine that would be great! I hate picking out wording and how to say it

In-laws are so difficult aren't they? From all my situations I find it to be best if I don't vent to my FH about them. It is his family and it would be hard to hear the woman you love talking negatively around them. Hopefully you have some good friends. And there is always us people on this forum to help and offer advice. Money is such a touchy subject too. I'd try cutting off all ties to their knowledge on where and how you spend your money. They are lookiing out for you... but they need to focus more on your wedding and celebration of your love rather than putting all their visits focussed on your bad (their opinion) spending. This is YOUR and FH'S wedding, no one elses. Don't cater to everyone's needs or wants; because you may end up on the verge of a break down. My opinion is vent to your friends not your FH about your future in-laws, don't tell your future in-laws about your money and where it's going, and surround yourself with positive people who will enjoy planning your wedding with you and give you valuble input.

I'm like you Jilly.... I'm a bride on a budget. I want nice photos but I don't think I want to spend 50% of my budget on them. or maybe I should. i don't know.... I haven't even looked yet to be honest But I looked at the (Citelli) site and I liked what I saw. I couldn't find where all the pricing was though. have you contacted them yet to find out what the packages are like? Oh and by the way i liked that dude' galley more than the others including Claudia. It seems he really catches the "moment".

hehehe this pic makes me laugh, my kitty was hating me at the time but right now he is loving me and on my lap purrin' away. Does anyone else's cat think it's time to sit on your lap when you're on the computer? Mine sure does!!

Now if only i could find a cheap seamstress in FL.
